  • watching this video made me want to shoot a puppy...

  • You have the EXACT same phone as me XD

  • Why?

  • will this work on iPod???

  • @MegaBoldy no

  • very poor design. your wasting a lot of energy. there are many better ways to go about it

  • @lokeycmos I wasn't thinking too much about power consumption. This is my first circuit that charges my phone and I was trying to make it as simple as possible.

  • @marc1979Guitare remember, this method does not work on some phones (mostly smart phones). i was just using an older one.

  • you realy need to pronounce the names of your supplies, i could barley hear you and didnt use your video as a preferance to my project cuz it was so amutureish!

  • Hi, I made this project and every thing was fine until my diod warm up very fast .

  • you all time saing AMM

  • can your clear this, positive side of a battery connected to a resistor then the resistor connected to the positive side of the diode the the negative side of the diode connected to the positive wire of female usb then negative wire of the usb will be connected to the negative side of the battery, is it correct this is how i understand the video, try to watch is and correct me if im wrong tnx...

  • Use a 7805 instead.Much better quality and battery life.

  • Btw, no idea whose account this is

  • Can u make a video with these parts but with a switch included

  • I'm sure your charger works and thanks for showing how, but ... The normal way a zener is connected, it will drop 5.1 V across itself at all times so it would provide the battery voltage (9.6) minus the zener voltage (5.1) to the device being charged, so that's only about 4.5V for a fully charged 9V battery, then it drops as the battery drains. Also, to function correctly the zener has to be opposite polarity you show, and in parallel with the load, so it dumps voltage. So you need a switch!

  • use a 330 ohm resistor so it will charge ipods!

  • @starwars95i thanks for the input. very useful!

  • @starwars95i I need to use a 330 ohm resistor for the data pins for an ipod?

  • @starwars95i hi where should i put it on my diagram thanks

  • SAMSUNG IMPRESSION FTW!!

  • @iMusicProfile lol my impression went through my washing machine :p AT&T sent me new one cuz i had insurance so its all good.

  • @YourBarelyLegal Cool story?

  • I'm not really sure. I have never owned a psp so really can't tell you. But if you want, you can always try.

  • hey you put up this vid on my b day

  • gosh take till christmas to tell us how to make it much

  • Why doesnt it work on ipods im making this for my ipod will it still work? Also can you add a switch to it so its not on all the time? or perhaps an LED.

  • @galactus900 yes it will

  • @shortyjk95 Sorry but most ipods it wont work. they actually require a signal from the green and white wires to actually accept a charge. Apple just wants you to buy their products for insanely high prices

  • @YourBarelyLegal oh ok sry

  • @galactus900 you can you use a switch, but if your electronic device is not plugged into the portable charger, you will not be using any power on the battery. so no really need for an LED or switch. Well.... you want to overkill, then i would recommend an LED and putting female USB slot in a cut out on the side of the altoids box.

  • do you use the green and white wires from the female usb

  • @whitgett not in this tutorial. the white and green wires are signal wires, which are used to send and recieve information. red and black are simpley just power. if you want, you can simply snip off the green and white wires if you want to keep it all permanent.

  • ok all i heard was a huadmmgha resitor

  • @shortyjk95 Sorry about that. I said 100 ohm resistor. Band colors = Brown - Black - Brown

  • @shortyjk95 I also said 5.1 volt Zener Diode.

  • U no fuck all about wat ur sayin

  • me and you have the same phone is ur keyboard screwed up too?

  • @bmwproductions96 - Ya, mine is jacked up too. it puts periods at random places when im typing. my sister also has one and it freezes on her. so we have to take the battery out and insert it back in everytime. and its stupid how you can't have a signature for texting. well at least i got mine for cheap.

  • Finally a easy to follow video fucking thank you

  • @humor4444 well thank you for liking the video.

  • you have some great videos, shame you don't have many views
