if we launch 4-5 large scale satelites to orbit a threatening asteroide it will change the trajectory and throw it off course....this is the most logical and sane solution....yet we as humana see the best way to solve the promlem is to bomb it and blow it up? lol.....

Maybe, a 250 megaton warhead, that might just be what we need if a crisis like this ever arises. But its not like I'm not open to new ideas. Your idea with satelites is good food for thought. But using nuclear warheads seems to me the most practical method. But that's only what I think. You decide.

It's not accurate at all. A hit like that would send shockwave around the earth. Where it hits, you'll get a huge crater with lots of material ejected into space. Discovery planet had showed such a simulation. This one is a "artist rendering".
