And, he can add the growly rasp wherever he chooses. So many colors in his palette and he has complete mastery of all of them. What an artist. This is breathtaking talent.

Would love to have a soft spoken album with songs such as Hallelujah on it. In my opinion it would sell well for those who love that type of music. There is a large baby boomer age span at this time that can appreciate the style. I was rocking in the 70's and still love it but also would love a "chill out" cd. Josh you are exceptional!! xo

I am comparing only their ability to put that special feeling and inflection in a song. Not many singers have that special "soul". That is why so many great singers on AI have faded into the landscape not to be heard from again. If this competition was based solely on vocal talent, either Josh or Melanie would win. He is such an amazing singer! He has a beautiful voice with it's rawness and passion!
Josh is actually better than Melanie and Chris together. So please you crazy too dear Americans, vote for this wonderful, beautiful and incredibly humble and nice person and treat him the win. He has something indescribably beautiful, what they're able to grab the heart like nobody else. It has a beautiful soul and voice, and he really needs to win, Melanie and Chris do not interfere with him even after the foot!
Josh not only has the incredible voice but just listen to what he does with his voice. Everything seems to be in the right place at the right time. Although the voice is totally difference I feel the same ability in Josh that Elvis had. The feeling they both could project in a song is definately rare. I can't imagine how Josh went this long without somebody that could help his not noticing his incridible talent.
Josh can sing, but I wouldn't really compare him to Elvis. Elvis could sing and act and Charisma. Elvis was handsome and appealing to the eyes. Josh however, no matter how they dress him up, always have a greasy, scruffy mountain man look about him. He had a band, but in all the videos, he always looked rough and unappealing.

When Josh sings this it's like I've never heard the song before. Just breathtaking, astonishing, and beautifully holy. He has nuances in his voice that no one........and I mean NO ONE else has. If he doesn't win it will be a shame. There's hundreds of Melanie-type voices and even though I love Chris Rene as a person, his voice can't touch Josh's voice. Josh is just totally incredible.
I started thinking that Nicole might be the best fit for Josh as a mentor, for she is a perfect cheerleader and that's probably all Josh needs in this competition.

From the first moment Josh opened his mouth to sing AT LAST....I was hooked to his voice! and could not believe it! From that day I decided he was my favorite...NEVER DOUBTED. Right there I knew that guy had something so special! Not only because of that very unique and amazing voice but he just transport you with the song, makes you feel the words, the music...makes magic happen! Then I thought his mom had it completely right! He is so gifted!

Remember what happened in American Idol season 5 with Taylor Hicks??? Chris Daughtry tore up the charts.... I can see this happening with X factor. I love Melanie Amaro... but I can compare her to so many. When is the last time you heard a voice like Josh.. The only one I can come up with IN MY OPINION was Joe Cocker, Voices like Josh dont come around very often... He deserves to win the Contract. I luv Chris R. too, but to think of him doing a pepsi commercial is kinda strange

I agree, all judges are great. They truly know TALENT except LA Reid. He may trying to copy Simon's style, but Simon KNOWS talent.

Josh is going to sell CDs like no one has ever sold CDs from AI & Xfactor. He doesn't have to win--he has already won. He could cut his on CD and sell it one line and get rich. Slinging Burritos is no longer in his future--maybe "singing" buritos. I am also convinced that Josh could go back over the last 50 years and pick great songs and "make them his own" and they would sell big. When he does a song it sounds like a new song.

@Duraznito4 Totalmente deacuerdo y ésta canción es la mejor, el cantó con mucho sentimiento. Josh era mi favorito y me dolió mucho que no ganara, Melanie no me gusta para nada es otra Whitney/Mariah wannabe, pero Josh es original y el no necesita the x factor para ser un ganador, el realmente tiene the x factor.

By far the best on the show. But I feel all of these young teenagers will vote for Melanie and Chris more. Which is unfortunate because Josh is 10x better them both of them.

This man can sing ANYTHING!!! He can take any style or genre of music and make it his own!! Simply amazing!!!! If Josh does not win this competition, then I will know that the show is not about talent, but about the judges favoring the ones they mentor!!! @alexis2power yeah, it's the nature of the x-factor setup though. As it stands, only Paula has been free to give her opinion without a vested interest in the outcome. The secondary battle of "mentors" quite often ruins the show.

When Josh sings this it's like I've never heard the song before. Just breathtaking, astonishing, and beautifully holy. He has nuances in his voice that no one........and I mean NO ONE else has. If he doesn't win it will be a shame. There's hundreds of Melanie-type voices and even though I love Chris Rene as a person, his voice can't touch Josh's voice. Josh is just totally incredible.

From the first moment Josh opened his mouth to sing AT LAST....I was hooked to his voice! and could not believe it! From that day I decided he was my favorite...NEVER DOUBTED. Right there I knew that guy had something so special! Not only because of that very unique and amazing voice but he just transport you with the song, makes you feel the words, the music...makes magic happen! Then I thought his mom had it completely right! He is so gifted!

@mauled13579 .. L.A contestants I don't even bother to hear the listen to the whole songs...they are just not my style! Astro? is that music?!! Chris....can sing decently and it's not as annoying, Marcus? the best voice of the three, moves well but... there is nothing special about him. I have seen better!
