  • LOL at 5:36 a plane flies across the bottom right corner when he says Islam.

  • good video as always ...I see some reference to Buddhism in the comments I have come across it and was unaware it was a "religion" as from what I have seen it has no "almighty being" and from the small amount of research I have done does not require "worship" just an ability to understand yourself and how you interact with the surrounding world ...but hey that's just me ! lol best wishes

  • That bit about chuck norris hurt my religous feelings.

  • the funny this is, is that you don't believe in God because people tell you to. But because of personal confirmation.

  • @nate252 This cannot possibly be true, otherwise you would see the one "true" religion spring up everywhere in the world, people would know vast amounts of information that they could not have been told by an ordinary human being, and atheist cultures (e.g. Piraha tribes, also many forms of Buddhism) would not exist.

  • I wish you were my dad.

  • I dont think Phil was stating that there is giraffism. the point it is stupid to believe in god as it has just as much reality as a talking giraffe. The amout of religious people that takes this out of context is incredible but that is what religious people do. take EVERYTHING out of context

  • a billion people told me god exists. i rejected that. I think i would reject the girraffe.

  • It's easy if you try once religion is gone from your head. Like thermodynamics it's obvious once you know it. I can't believe religion exists and be sane anymore, i have to assume everyone who claims to believe doesn't really or i can't respect them :(

  • @tube09sssss It may be that nothing was ever made. The universe has a net mass/energy of zero. Essentially, nothing did come from nothing. You should do some more research before you try to go up against strong scientific theories.

  • So your using a giraffe and comparing it to God...? That is the dumbest thing i have ever seen or heard seriously.

  • @tube09sssss

Would you be more happy with a teapot?

  • @Mesdriver You atheist use the stupidest things... Seriously anything you put doesn't compare it to God. You atheist also believe you came from nothing. When you have nothing you get nothing. Shows how educated you all are -_-

  • @tube09sssss

I guess you are right, it makes much more sence that somebody created us out of nothing.

Tell me where did he or she came from?

    From nothing?

  • @Mesdriver God is not a he or she God is not flesh nor is God man. God is just God. God isn't human so therefore God cant be created. What created the big bang? Not there would have had to been something there in order for it to be created. And it's only common sense and even a 5 year old knows this which is nothing comes from nothing. So how could you believe in the big bang? Seriously? I was once an atheist I've read all the books quantum mechanics and stuff but nothing comes from nothing....

  • @tube09sssss

I do not believe you when you say you have read all these books.

Very few people on this planet understand the meaning of these theories, and surtainly no religious no brainer.

Lets for the sake of argument believe there IS a higher force that drives the universe, I can grand that.

But this force is surely not some ashole that comes crawling out of the desert, telling you not to jerk off of forbids you to eat pork.

A force that big does not care about microbes like us.

  • @Mesdriver Dude go look up this video called the big bang that never happened its about a former scientist that got got fired for proving the big bang didn't happen! And God doesn't say you can't jack off and he said that in the OT you can eat pork he told the people to not eat pork because they were unclean the OT is the old law. And how can you say he doesn't care? Read the bible he does care bro use your brain dude.

  • @tube09sssss

I watched the video, very interesting I must say.

The theory of the BB is proven over and over again, until now the BEST explanation for the beginning of our universe, The universe IS expanding, poven many many times as well.

If one can disprove the BB he would be famous, not fired.

The fact that you take this kind of romancing stories for true, shows how brainwashed you are.

Your "god" ( and all others) does not care, he does not exist, and is delusional.

    Like you are.

  • @Mesdriver No he was fired because scientist didn't want to accept it the only delusional person here is you at least i don't think i came from nothing.

  • @tube09sssss

Do you really think that in a serious scientific lab someone gets fired because he has a different point of view?

You seem so keen on pointing out that nothing comes from nothing.

But: since you can not explain the god, or superpower, your faith is based on bronze aged myths.

At least we realize that we do not not for sure, instead of assuming.

Where does god come or came from?

You will be left emptyhanded, as you are now.

Delusional. praying, asking, begging to your god.

  • @tube09sssss - it is silly because giraffes are real, you can go see one.

  • @Gordonisgreat Its funny because Evolution has been proven wrong by science along with the big bang so looks like you atheist need to brush up on your researches.

  • @tube09sssss - wow, "proven wrong by science" and not by the made up claims of religiously motivated liars? I'm sure the news will have covered that and you'll be able to point me towards this groundbreaing story.

Or is it just a fairy story, like religion?

    Oh you made it up!

  • @Gordonisgreat Kid do your research cause your very brainwashed.

  • @tube09sssss - my research into your made up claim that science is a massive conspiracy? Do you practice making these claims in a mirror? Is that why you get everything backwards?

  • @Gordonisgreat I never said massive conspiracy did i? No i didn't. Now like i said do your research and don't do research that only "proves" the big bang and evolution look deeper than that. By the way the big bang goes against physics. Do your research kid.

  • @tube09sssss - yeah so you said, but it will not work for me, because I am sane.

  • @Gordonisgreat Sane in what way? You think we came from NOTHING and that everything is just a big accident.

  • @tube09sssss - no I think we came as a result of a long natural process - fascinating and inspiring and wonderous, you seem to think a magic fairy wished us into existence.

  • I laughed out loud when I heard the part about the giraffe killing my family. Excellent work.

  • Lol I think if someone told me they had a personal relationship with a giraffe. I would tell them well thats your buisness but I don't think you want to go around telling that to anyone else, because its kinda of creepy.

  • I'm 18 years old and have yet to figure out that I believe.

This is not because I am riddled with doubts, confused about my calling in life or even denying the "glory of god" in an attempt to spite those evil authority figures.

There is nothing wrong with the noble quest for knowlege. It is a lifelong endeavour and one that I hope I never complete.

"Avoid the world, it's just a lot of dust and drag and means nothing in the end."

  • This is made by idiots for idiots! It is the most stupid video I have ever seen. It ignores historical evidence and facts. It assumes everyone is as stupid as the producer of this trash. Maranatha!

  • "it takes a special kind of asshole to call out on those beliefs and say im naive and stupid"? I never once called you stupid, but you claim I did. I did agree you were naive. And that you cannot understand the issue of proving a negative then I cannot help you. tell you what, check some more of Phils videos out here and see what he and others have to say about it. In FACT he actually has a video on explaining proving a negative. Best of luck to you and yours :D

  • @shkotay i have met atheists that say people like me are stupid, i wasnt directly talking about you.

ive seen a good amount of phils videos and have been equally mindfucked by each, but i still hold to my faith.

enjoy your movie, and best of luck

  • @Parambia Well, obviously the Bible isn't about The Heavenly Giraffe, nor has its Divine Neck been recorded in history, and your local priest has never heard of His Holy Hoofs, but excluding those things, talking STRICTLY on evidence, what differences can YOU point out?

  • @Parambia

"When you look at the bible as strictly a historical document (which it is)..." Talking snakes? Talking donkeys? Sun stopping in the sky? "Strictly historical document"? You type too well to be stupid, so you just lied. People who believe in God don't lie. Why lie? Because you had no option.

"Denying Jesus' life back then would be like us denying the holocaust." No photos of Jesus. No independent verification. No contemporary accounts. No one waited 100 years to record the holocaust.

  • @philhellenes not to mention that no one outside a 50 mile radius would have heard of him since there was no newspaper or internet back then and news was slow

  • @philhellenes

Remember profMTH video - many people IN THE BIBLE denied jesus existed! If they did back then...

  • @Parambia Did you just accuse the video of using a fallacy, then use the same exact fallacy yourself? You compared denying Jesus to denying the Holocaust. I'm not going to get into another debate with a religious fool, (It's a lost cause, and I've learned this at the humble age of 17), but I just wanted to point this out.

  • @Parambia how did Hinduism grow, obviously the stories in the Bagavad ghita are true and as such, people followed it.

  • @Parambia no it's not cus there's more evidence for a giraffe than jesus or god

  • @Parambia Because giraffes are real!

  • damn, this thread of comments is full of the most stereotypically douchey atheists..

why cant one choose to believe in a God? Why am i "stupid" for choosing to believe? you all have rights to your own opinions, but dont use that opinion as an excuse to just bash people. All the people who say "God gives us free will, but you must believe in him" and "can God create a boulder that not even he can lift?" are paradoxes off of doubtful logic and mean nothing with a decent understanding of religion

  • @xHaterofHatersx "Why am i "stupid" for choosing to believe?"

Do you choose to believe the Earth goes around the Sun? Do you choose to believe flame will burn your fingers?

If you have to "choose" to believe something, you tacitly admit you can't believe it as you would ordinarily believe something. You have, in effect, chosen to ignore evidence and experience. It's not that YOU ARE stupid - but the reasoning you MUST use to reach your "chosen" god is.

  • @philhellenes while i see your argument, i can say that no, i do not choose to believe that the earth revolves around the sun, nor that a flame would burn my fingers. whether or not it is true is irrelevant. with a stubborn enough mind i can convince myself that i could beat the shit out of mike tyson, and when he destroys me i say i had an off-day. it's the same with any other fact. believing is a choice

  • @xHaterofHatersx

    1) "...no, i do not choose to believe that the earth revolves around the sun."

    2) "...believing is a choice."

THAT is why some (not I) might call you stupid. It's in what you say. Your thinking contains clear, blatant, absolute contradictions, forced upon you by religion. If you said you hoped for a god to extend your existence I would have no errors to point out or criticisms to make.

  • @philhellenes my thinking contains contradictions to you, but not to me... it is a choice to believe in something. when you have a multiple choice question, you choose to believe that your answer to it is the best one, and you continue to keep this choice until you are proven wrong. now im not saying religion is like choosing the correct answer to a question in any way, so dont pull that card out. what im saying is that the mind chooses what seems most logical and chooses to believe in it

  • @xHaterofHatersx No. You WILL believe what makes the most sense. It's automatic. There's no choice required when it comes to believing 1+1=2. Try choosing NOT to believe it. ;)

Choice IS required where evidence seems equal, when two alternative and possibly conflicting explanations make equal sense, OR where self-delusion is involved, such as your hypothetical choice to believe you could take Tyson. There are arguable exceptions. It's complex. Generally, I don't trust beliefs I WANT to have.

  • @philhellenes belief isnt forced on us. one who was christian doesnt automatically become atheist, rather he chooses it. i guess im just using the term 'choice' more loosely than you are. whatever, youre video peaked my interests, and for that i congratulate you. i just find your audience and comment-ers to be rather annoying.

  • @xHaterofHatersx Belief can indeed be forced upon us as children, as it was me for instance. Took YEARS to get out of that mental quagmire of self shame and self loathing religion produced in me. As an adult we do indeed choose what we subscribe to, I found that the more questions I asked, the less religion was able to answer anything, or even seemed to work at all. My view on religion is "pray in one hand, crap in the other, see which fills up first".

  • @shkotay while i see your point, i just see no evidence besides doubtfullness disproving the possibility of a god. there is more evidence in support that science is unable to explain supporting the possibility that there is indeed a God.

  • @xHaterofHatersx You cannot disprove the existence of a god anymore then you can that there isnt an invisible fire breathing beer drinking dragon that you cant see watching you type these responses on youtube. You CAN however try to produce incontrovertable evidence of a god right now though. Pray to it and ask it, if it is omnipotent, to place "I AM GOD" in flaming giant letter in the sky right now. Science cant explains a lot, but it admits it and grows by facts. Religion does neither.

  • @shkotay well i understood your point until that final phrase... but im curious. ask me some questions and i want to see if i can answer it with my 12 years of catholic school knowledge.

and none of that "can God create a boulder not even He can move" shit. only real questions.

  • @xHaterofHatersx That final phrase explained everything, so read it again. My only question is the challenge I posed. I am not interested in a book made and re-edited by mere men for the last 2 thousand years, but in your incontrovertible proof. If your god is ominpotent over the world have him raise the coin in my hand right now by 1 inch and provide proof of his existence. A mere trifle for an omnipotent all seeing being.

  • @xHaterofHatersx And religion says "god dun it". Science says "there are a lot of things we dont know, but we learn every day and test till we get the answer". It grows and changes as the facts grow and change. Religion does not do either. Best of luck with the challenge :D

  • @shkotay oh really? then why is the vatican still up and running?

and if we can keep learning the techniques of science, why cant you PROVE the non-existence of the supernatural? all science has been able to do is display more questions that science cannot answer but faith can.

dont dodge this. ask me a question. im curious :)

  • @xHaterofHatersx The vatican is up and running because ppl pay into it worldwide and ppl run it. Last I saw their financier was not God Inc. And I never claimed the supernatural didnt exist, just that your religion is false. You also cant prove a negative, which most educated ppl know. BUT if you DO make the claim it does, then step up and prove it, I already provided two simple challenges. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

  • @xHaterofHatersx And if your god cannot meet these challenges, then why is it SO hard to step back and say "You know, I dont know if a god exists or not but so far the evidence says at least the religious version does not". I never said there WASNT a creator, because frankly i dont know, but I am pretty damn sure the religious god doesnt just because he has never done shit and cant step up when asked. When the coin in my hand lifts just ONE inch by itself, my view will change. 1 inch.

  • @shkotay are you even reading my comments?

i will ask you this though. i want you to lift a coin out of my hand. i want you to come to east lansing, michigan, outside of the entrance of east wilson hall (on the corner of chestnut and wilson road), wearing a pink or purple ballerina costume, just so i know you exist, and lift the penny i present in my hand ONE inch into the air. 1 inch. until then, i refuse to acknowledge your existence, because i dont know if youre a human or not.

  • @xHaterofHatersx Well you'll have to settle with these posts I suppose, the same you'll have to settle with a god you have never seen, who has not even posted you on youtube, has a channel or sent you a holy angel to kick ass that everyone can see, who still has let your loved ones die, who may even have a fiery hell for you :O Who knows? Stick with your belief if you choose. But tell you what, dont convince me. Ask your god to lift that coin out of YOUR own hand one inch by yourself, honestly.

  • @xHaterofHatersx or continue to say stuff like "subtle ways of proof of existence" or "he moves in mysterious ways". Religion provides a lot of get out of jail free cards for those too lazy or afraid to think for themselves or ask the tough questions. Will you continue to have to use those? Science provides you applications you see daily: medicine, technology, understanding the stars. Religion provides you today with a building, a book, and a fear of a dude you dont even know is real. Shame :(

  • @shkotay lol you claim to not preach, yet you respond with a comment nearly 1500 characters long. yes there are people who are religious and use it an excuse to be ridiculous, but the same can be said about anything else in this world. religion doesnt just provide, a building and a book. it provides a community, strength of self and of family, and FAITH.

youre the stereotypical douche of an atheist i was talking about earlier. you talk down on preachers by hypocritically preaching to them.

  • @xHaterofHatersx I am glad you find a "strength of self and of family, and FAITH". But I find it interesting how well you practice those very values when challenged in simple fashion with "stereotypical douche of an atheist" and "challenges you present with obvious answers are fucking stupid". This means you cannot answer my challenges because you know you cant. Is that hostility more for me? Or is there a sneaking suspicion inside now about your faith? Keep it if you will, but consider.....

  • @shkotay i consider, but until you provide scientific proof besides your "reasoning" and stupid tests of my faith. its obvious that i cant answer why God wont lift a coin an inch off of your hand, but it's also obvious that a request like that is just as ridiculous as me asking you to come to where i live and lift a coin one inch off of my hand. everyone has a bit of doubt, thats normal in all of us, but it takes faith to overcome that doubt...

  • @shkotay why cant we both exist without you saying people like me are naive. why cant you challenge me with anything other than telling my God to lift up a coin an inch off of your hand? are you afraid that ill answer you? that i wont shy away like the real naive religious people? the questions and challenges you present with obvious answers are fucking stupid...

  • @xHaterofHatersx Because you are in fact being naive. You ask for questions, okay: tell me precisely where god lives, tell me precisely how he makes matter, tell me how he organized the 4 forces, tell me how he allows yearly genocides, tell me why he says "i love you forever but you will burn in hell for eternity", tell me where the talking donkeys are, tell me why you are unable to prove your god by the challenges, tell me why you must respond instead with "fucking stupid" not proof?

  • @shkotay God doesnt "live", God works outside of our particular laws of physics, God doesnt allow genocide, he however allows free will, he says i love you forever, but our rejection of his forgiveness by living selfishly and not for others keeps us from his eternal glory, donkeys do "talk", they have a method of communication that humans do not understand, you tell me why you are unable to disprove my God with almighty science instead of doubtful logic, because i have no proof, nor do you.

  • @xHaterofHatersx Yes that sit, place a god you cant see out and beyond known laws of physics and provide for him explanations of why he cant lift a coin one inch off your palm by himself, with all his omnipotent powers, while you or any of your friends can do the same thing so easily. And donkeys do talk to us do they? Do they speak as they do in the bible? I await that proof. And sigh....get educated on why you cant prove a negative. Science I have tons of proof of it. God? Zilch.

  • @shkotay then scientiffically prove that anything supernatural does not exist. its easy to prove a negative dumbass, you disprove the positive, which you lack the ability to do. donkeys talk to each other using simple body language and the occasional mating call. nothing can survive without communicating to others. they dont talk to us, but they communicate.

  • @xHaterofHatersx Lol now you are outright lying and choosing to ignore what I told you about proving a negative. You are twitsting what the bible said and "interpreting" it to try to keep a semblance of an argument going. You nor I nor anyone cannot prove a negative, but we can provide proof of claims of existence. Science does it every day in ways you can see touch, type by, watch and so forth. A creator may or may not exist, but at least I say I dont know. You dont have that honesty.

  • @xHaterofHatersx Face it, you cannot SHOW me ANYTHING about how god works. What he is, where he is, how he does stuff, where he came from and so forth. At least you showed a minor bit of honesty for once in saying you have no proof of for or against. Why would I have proof of his lack of existence either? How can I prove something I cannot see, cannot interact with, cannot test or question, and everything I know doesnt require him anyway doesnt in fact NOT exist? See the issue now?

  • @shkotay i see your issue, but there is evidence. there are miracles that have happened in this world that your science cannot explain, where all knowledge of logic and science cannot say how it happened. stigmata, the shroud of turin, corpses of saints that do not decay, etc... are completely against all laws of physics and cannot be recreated by modern technology. how do you begin to explain this?

  • @xHaterofHatersx The shroud, if you had followed the research was shown to be around 1260 or so. I actually looked at the known research on "incorruptables" the other day. Their idea of what counts as incorruptable is a tad less stringent then you might think lol! It all still fits within known medical science but dont believe me, find pictures from the medical records. Look up also saponification, and environmental causes, but they were all decomposed to various degrees.

  • @shkotay youre telling me that somebody from the year 1260 took a shroud, singed parts of it as modern technology hasnt been able to replicate, used human sweat to accurately portray a crucified man, human blood to trace major arteries that were unknown to scientists until the 19-20th century, and preserve it perfectly for us to find one day? and incorruptables, yes some were decomposed, which is why i believe most arent incorruptable, but some are PERFECTLY intact, even one that died in 350AD

  • @xHaterofHatersx Modern technology didnt need to replicate it, just outlined how it happened and when abouts it happened but sure if you asked the researchers how it was done, they could show you. You ae at a university you say, talk to the appropriate dept and see what they say. I have seen the medical records and the pictures of incorruptables, most look exactly like lng dead ppl. If there is one that doesnt, no idea how it happened, why not o find out?

  • @shkotay lets just stop this. i have asked the questions you are speaking of, and have considered them thoroughly. but the mere fact that millions have dedicated their lives to religion is enough for me to think that there is something to this. im not saying that that is my primary reasoning, but what i have seen come from religion is deeper than science. i ask, and i have the ability to answer, while most people do not. i bid to you a good day and wish the best.

  • @xHaterofHatersx Indeed best to you and yours, please consider the video above at the least :D

  • i however do have one more question regarding incorruptables. i did about 15 minutes of research and found that in order to have the conditions required to preserve a body like that, you need an acidic surrounding to destroy bacteria, a constant lack of oxygen, and a low temperature. of which none of the displays i have seen have.

  • @xHaterofHatersx Thats only one of many possible ways to make it happen. And if one rules everything out, they are still left with "I dont know how it happened but it did happen". If one wants to say it was supernatural, then they have to prove the existence of the supernatural and how it works to affect this body. Even you admitted you cannot do that. But I am out for movies and popcorn :D Remember the chat, dont be afraid to reach out and test the mysteries of the universe.

  • @xHaterofHatersx Science doesnt allow itself get out of jail free cards. Religion can only keep standing by using those cards precisely as you just had to do right there. :( This is a shame and you only cheat yourself. I hope you come to terms with that one day. I have not nor have I ever said a creator doesnt exist, but I am pretty damn certain religions and they gods men created are lies. Perhaps a god does exist, but it has nothign to do with your book. Use your intelligence, please!

  • @shkotay your logic makes no sense! i live a good fulfilled life. im a college student, i play the trumpet, im a computer science major, and i have a girlfriend. why do you say im cheating myself???

and why are atheists so quick on bringing the holy books into conversation? one can be religious and not follow a book that has been translated thousands of times over thousands of years. the bible is a guidline, not to live life fully off of, but to live life fully for others.

  • @xHaterofHatersx The logic makes perfect sense except I used "doesnt" instead of "does" at the end. It is indeed absurd to try to prove that something you cannot see, test, touch, examine, question, hear or sample does not exist. It is just as absurd to tell people such a thing does exist if others cannot see, test, touch, examine, question, hear or sample it. If you are a science major, you are indeed cheating yourself terribly and misunderstanding the practice.

  • @shkotay computer science = programing

but HOW am i cheating myself. youre implying that those who follow religion cant live normal lives... thats a ridiculous statement. answer me this, how am i cheating myself?

  • @xHaterofHatersx so PLEASE do not give up school, and work to understand science better then you obviously do. Also you at the beginning of all this could have just ignored it and been done with it. Instead you questioned my thinking and asked for proof. So I provided it, and merely returned the challenge. Better yet I kept the challenges extremely simply. Dont be dishonest anymore. I am not afraid to say I dont know, or I was wrong. Why is this so hard for you? Ask the mirror that.

  • @shkotay no, no, no... you never provided proof big guy, you provided doubt, and a ridiculous statement... i came back at you because, if you havent noticed already, i feel the need to defend my opinion when attacked.

its not hard for me to say "i dont know", but when it comes to something i feel strongly about, i have a problem with that. i may be wrong about the incorruptables, it just seems rather ridiculous that the right conditions can perfectly preserve a body for nearly 2000 years.

  • @xHaterofHatersx Last point for today: dont feel alone if you are experiencing a ton of turmoil. I and MANY others have been precisely where you are right now. I grew up in a highly religious home, had to eat it every day, had to talk it every day. As I grew I realized how much religion could NOT answer and how I had to fit more and more square pegs in round holes to answer life. I finally got tired of lying to myself and others and started asking the questions I ask you. Be brave please.

  • @shkotay but my knowledge of my particular religion does answer my questions and yours, and you unfortunately cant seem to realize that. we are the same people, with different beliefs. however, it takes a special kind of asshole to call out on those beliefs and say im naive and stupid. why cant we both exist? why is this a world where im entitled to my own opinion, but all those who have no other reason to doubt me than doubt itself continue to persecute people like me? why? answer me this. why?

  • @xHaterofHatersx So you just want to be left alone with your beliefs? And why am I an asshole for asking perfectly valid questions? Why is this viewed as a threat and mockery or sorts? You feel....actually PERSECUTED? :D The knowledge of your religion can only answer the questions I posed if you say "god did it". Science can show you HOW it was done and recreate it for you to examine. All I have done is show the very same gaping holes inyour religious views that I found were there for myself.

  • @shkotay because it is a mockery of sorts lol... persecuted is a word that can be very loosely termed. one thing science has still been unable to prove, rather than support: the supernatural. youre putting words into my mouth, hoping i dont notice and in turn hop i shy away like others you have likely preached like this to. youre all the same...

  • @xHaterofHatersx But, I will back off. I have said my say, and I do encourage you to kick ass in school and am glad you have a relationship! But real honesty requires at least a consideration of the questions I have posed to you. A real god would not be threatened by you asking, questing, learning how real things work. May not even care, might even be honored. Who knows? What greater respect could you have then to search how things REALLY are? Religion cant give you that. Best regards.

  • @shkotay my point is is that there are more subtle ways of proof of existence. for all i know your just a program preaching agnostic thoughts on youtube. nobody can prove the existence of God, but the mere fact that people like you challenge God's existence by stupid requests and ridiculous claims.

and one more time, ASK ME A QUESTION CHALLENGING MY FAITH. ASK ME YOUR BEST! GIVE ME WHAT YOU GOT, AND I WILL ANSWER

  • @xHaterofHatersx Lmao why should I challenge your faith any farther then I have? If you are comfortable with this and choose to believe despite the lack of or even against the available evidence, that is your choice. The only question I had was asking does your god even exist, and I provided two simple challenges. Subtle schmubtle, unambiguous proof of existence or nothing. And you, a religious person accuses me of preaching? Prove me wrong just once. 1 coin, 1 inch.

  • Phil I've been a happy subscriber until now, as a devout member of graffethology I can no longer be associated with your godless ways. The long-necked one has given you wisdom and this is how you use it? Tsk-tsk, I'm unsubscribing!

  • ....i have a talking giraffe in by back yard, he is highly offended by this video offended.

  • @phillhelenes thats one brillant video. The ironic thing is there have been reports of a Jaguar running the fields around my town (I live in semi-rural england btw).

  • @firehandszarb dude i'm not even kidding i was driving at night near lincolnshire and this fucking huge ass cat like thing ran infront of the car, i shit myself cause if i had hit it it would have majorly messed up my car (and killed it)!!

  • The heap paradox?

  • Evidence for God's existence? I think you'd have more luck finding diamonds in your underpants.

  • God: "hey here's free will, you can chose to believe in me or not"

    you "sweet"

God "oh fyi, if you dont worship me by friday, i'm going to send you to hell for eternal pain and suffering"

    you "......wow"

  • @JerryTheOnion

I feel ya bro. Im in exactly the same spot. I tried to open up and tell my parents who assure me that they will still love me only to be yelled at and put under stress. Im only keeping closeted cuz i don't feel like hurting them any more than i have to.

  • Good video. This should be addressed to everyone, not just teenagers.

  • Logical: keep believing your fairytale dude. You know the fairytale you believe because your parents told it to you when you were young? You know the fairytale which happens to be the same fairytale which most people around you believe too? Imagine: if you were born in iraq l, you would of said the same sentence but would of used the word "quran" instead of "bible" :)

  • 58 people don't believe Chuck Norris can die.

  • @Jayjon81

After the nuclear holocaust, the earth will be inhabited by roaches, ants... and Chuck Norris!!!

  • @JerryTheOnion Philhellenes is good at that. Even though I have technically been an atheist for the past eight years, his video "science saved my soul" helped me deal with some difficult feelings left over from my time in a VERRRY Christian Mississippi community.

  • 57 people believe giraffes can talk.

  • I've been thinking about God's reaction to modern religion.

"They think I need THEM to defend ME?! They think I approve of silencing observation in the universe they think I created?! They kill people who "Seem" to use magic thinking I want that?! What kind of sadistic, tyrannical bastard do they think I am?!"

  • @InContemplation

Also wondered that a lot. If I was God the average American would probably disgust me.

  • Why would you do that? Imagining the world has no religion, would be to operate on precisely the wrong kind of non-thinking that is religion.

Better to expose it for the evil it is, and rid ourselves of it.

  • There is only one massive error in this video:

It is well known that putting Chuck Norris for a night in the Afrikan savanna will result in massive death to all animal life in a 4 km radius.

  • Talking giraffe encounter #1, walk away. Talking giraffe encounter #2(all emotional), run away...that mother is crazy.

  • Religious teenagers are imo a disgrace. Now living in the 21th cencury I BEG those people to study the world around them. Because the world would become a so much better place if one generation would simply state "no more". It takes nothing more then one generation to change humanity. If all teenagers today would lay down the burden given to them by their parents, then tomorow the world would be a better place.

  • @musicbox2345 "...evidence that God exists = my friend's metal kneecaps disappearing and being replaced by real cartilidge..."

Because it amuses me, are you saying the above is true?

  • @philhellenes yes i am saying it is true. it is so mysterious and amazing there is no other explanation than it being the work of God. That is not the only evidence God exists by any means; i believed in God before that happened. But that incident must be true - if i was going to make something up, surely i'd make it more plausible, especially if trying to convince an atheist. Please do not be cynical.

  • @musicbox2345 Glad you said, "it is true". Now I KNOW you are a liar so I can block you with a 100% clear conscience. :)

  • @philhellenes

What a shame the kneecap guy got blocked! He seemed so honest that I really belived that he, indeed, believed it to be true.

I'm curious now whether his "miracle friend's" doctor could provide some record of the claim. Of course, there's always a high probability that "the friend" lives only in his head...but I try to be optimistic.

  • @musicbox2345

How is it possible to be truly analytical and not cynical? They go hand in hand.

And may I ask what evidence you have for the caps changing?

  • @musicbox2345 well i have a friend that knows your friend and my friend told me that yours is lying, and you don't have any evidence to prove i'm making that up

  • @musicbox2345 dispearring metal and spontaneous tissue regrowth..... no news got a hold of this? the Doc should have contacted CNN or something.... this would be the biggest news story in the history of man.

...or you could have been mistaken.

  • @musicbox2345 Listen, first of all, I want to pintpoint that I'm an ateheist. But I do believe that there is unquestionable power of a prayer because of how POWERFUL our minds are. Your God illusion is in your mind told to you by the others. it is just a coincidence that you've borned it catholic country.

  • @musicbox2345 what about the hundreds of thousands dying from war, hunger, poverty. are you going to say its all god's plan too?

  • put chuck norris in the savannah unarmed and in the morning all you will find is a bunch of lion skins

  • This is a great representation of a straw man thanks! :D

  • @Pucker7 You say this is an example of a straw man? I don't see in what significant way the giraffe idea misrepresents the man in the sky idea. To you it may be obvious, but to me it's not.

    Explain if you like.

  • @TheSlowThinker 1. It isn't a man and isn't in the sky if it is god who you are referring to

2.Using the popular opinion of something that is known like the fact that giraffes can't talk, to "disprove" god's existence is highly illogical, and practically unrelated to god. This would be like saying that we know that god doesn't exist so don't believe in him. The truth is we don't know if god (whatever he/she/it is) exists, so comparing it to a giraffe is attacking something that has no relation.

  • @Pucker7 I think the point is that we don't know whether or not talking giraffes exist. Still, if someone claimed to have one, we would require proof.

I have never seen a god of any kind, nor have I seen evidence for one. So if someone claims he/she/it exists, I want proof.

  • @TheSlowThinker I don't blame you man, the truth is there is not proof to proove or disprove god. So I can't really deny god's existence can I. That is why I'm agnostic.

  • @Pucker7

But, are you theist or atheist? Many people misuse the word 'agnostic' and 'gnostic'.

Agnostic Atheist: I don't believe in a god. We can't be certain though.

Pure Agnostic: I don't know. It cannot be known by anyone.

Agnostic Theist: I believe there is a god. We can't be certain though.

  • @mikybee93 I'm agnostic or pure agnostic as you said.

  • The Pope touches the little giraffes.

  • Does this Giraffe have a place where we can congregate ad worship, because He seems to have a lot of really neat ideas. You've convinced me.

  • this guy doesnt know chuck norris

  • When you say something over and over again to someone (or a group) that may possibly want to hear it - or not - will begin to in some way believe it. Hitler, for example, did the same thing with his captivating speeches. That's basically all I heard throughout the video. A waste of time for me since I already was aware of this. I ultimately decide what I want to believe in. Those subjected to force or compelling, cryptic arguments are for the weak-minded.

  • 8:36 How you dare to speak like that of Chuck Norris!!!!???

    He will punish you!!!!

  • @pelini0844 What are you talking about? God is fiction while the almighty Giraffe is our lord and savior

  • @pelini0844 Youre funny cause you didnt get the video :)

  • i believe in the god of the bible because i want to.first of all, you might highlight the notorious crusades or inquisition, but as of today, it would be a pretty big challenge to make an arguement that the catholic church is doing more harm than good.

besides, life is a less depressing when you have something to believe in, particularly a promise of eternal perfect bliss.

  • @dbroncos1997 condoms, aids, limbo, touching kids. Moving on from those. The problem isnt that your believing what you want the problem is your beliefs directly affect everyone else. There are religious laws in some places. Basic morals are treated like religious truths like we wouldnt know not to steal kill and lie without some entity telling us not to. It makes ppl not care about NOW and think to an imagined future. NWO is the issue, not heaven get your heads out of the clouds and help.

  • So what do u believe in then?

  • @TheKingofkings409 Probably pretty much everything YOU believe in, except for the supernatural.

  • Last time I checked, Evolution and Creationism were both theories. Therefore we have no way to know if either one is correct, because no one witnessed them.

If i told you that man evolved from an ape but I couldn't provide any evidence or a missing link would you believe me. If I slap the word "science" behind it, and get others believing what I told them was true, then would you believe me?

  • @bobbyjoe455 - Let's talk REALITY. If you came with a variety of hominid skeletons, arranged in order of age, showing the steady straightening of fingers (curvature no longer required for gripping branches), the gradual rotation of the hips (for upright walking), with the oldest being most apelike and the most recent being more human, AND the VAST DNA evidence of mutations shared with apes, I'd say you had a STRONG case. Dude, you have a tail bone. YOU are a missing link. Evolution goes on.

  • @philhellenes I've looked at the photos of hominids such as Lucy that have been excavated and there are only bits and pieces being recovered. Now, I'm no scientist but the skulls of the hominids they "recreate" look like nothing more than their own "artist interpretations" of what they THINK it may have looked like.

If evolution goes on then why aren't organisms still evolving on a macro level?

If you see a watch, you assume there's a watchmaker. Why isn't that the same with the universe?

  • @bobbyjoe455 "Looked at photos..." No WONDER you don't have any grasp! There are 100s of hominid skeletons! These are not "interpretations" any more than YOUR skeleton is. "Macro" = propaganda. Watches cannot form themselves through physical forces. Worlds and molecules can. Now YOU describe the very moment the FIRST rabbit appeared on Earth. What would I have seen according to you AS IT APPEARED? A flash? Smoke? I dare you to try.

  • @philhellenes Macro=propaganda?I just asked why we don't see organisms evolving anymore. How is that misleading? I don't see why you can't just answer the question. How in the world am I supposed to describe something I didn't witness. Can you describe the very moment the first rabbit appeared? No, you wanna know why? Because you weren't there, now were you. Here's my point: Evolution and Creationism are theories no one knows without a shadow of doubt which is right. They are theories not facts

  • @bobbyjoe455 "Macro evolution" is a term used by creationists to differentiate between the separation of species (which happens so slowly we can't see it) from "micro evolution" (little changes that we can see and are undeniable), little realising that the small changes build up over time to create BIG changes.

"How in the world am I supposed to describe something I didn't witness."

Idiot. You can describe the construction of the Empire State Building and you weren't there.

  • @philhellenes You wouldn't DARE try to describe the creationists' version of the creation of a species OUT OF THIN AIR. And you demonstrate COMPLETE IGNORANCE, or (more likely) UTTER DISHONESTY, by stating that evolution and creationism are in ANY way comparable as scientific theories.

You sound like a half-wit. I didn't say you ARE a half-wit. But you DO sound like one, to any reasonably thoughtful person, theist or otherwise.

  • @philhellenes There's no need be to disrespectful and call me an "idiot". That's just vapid and irrelevant to conversation. Now, the ESB is physical building created by man and yes, I've a seen a building being constructed so yes I can describe that. But the question was, describe the creation of the first rabbit. Now, I've never witnessed the creation of any organism and such creation would take a higher power that transcended nature. Thus that's why God is supernatural.

  • @bobbyjoe455 Now back to Macro "evo" debate. Bacteria has been since the beginning of time. So that's billions of years according to evolution, yet bacteria always remains bacteria. Why hasn't bacteria become a new organism. DNA replication disproves evolution by itself. When making a replication, it double checks itself to PREVENT MUTATIONS. The only way for an organism to become more complex via "evo" is to mutate. But an organism's body is designed to prevent mutations.

  • @bobbyjoe455 Now as Malcolm X stated, "I respect every man's right to believe whatever his intelligence tells him is intellectually sound, and I expect everyone else to respect my right to believe likewise." If you choose believe that lightning struck the sea and caused an organism to form that wouldn't rise from the water for 2 billiion years, by all means believe that. But respect my right to believe that the universe and all its complexity was created by some higher power. GOD BLESS!

  • @bobbyjoe455 Did Malcolm say a man has the right to ignore proven facts, or worse, lie about them?

  • @philhellenes Again if they were proven FACTS, it would be call the LAW or FACT of Evolution. Yet it is not, so that must mean that there's not any definite evidence for it to be called a law. Amirite or amirite?

  • @bobbyjoe455 Again, scientific ignorance. You've heard of the "atomic theory". You doubt atoms exist?

  • @philhellenes No of course not. But a theory is only used to propose a IDEA about what could have happened. I hope you know that just because it has the word theory by it doesn't mean it's correct. Ever heard of the flat earth theory or the Geocentric theory of the solar system? Both wrong! So the Theory of Evolution could be WRONG. The Creationism Theory could be WRONG. We both chose the one which works for us and WE DON'T KNOW WHICH IS CORRECT. you get all that?

  • @bobbyjoe455 Of course. Evolution COULD be wrong, but it will take more and better evidence than we have, and that is hard to imagine when you know the evidence (which you do not). We DO know which is far more likely to be correct than the alternative.

I just laughed. I just realised that I'm talking to someone who argues that being born without eyes is a god-given gift that helps someone smell and hear better. :)

  • @philhellenes I never said being born without eyes would be God-given gift. Stop taking my words out of context! You asked if being born w/o is an advantage. Of course we know it's not, but if it happens, we've been created in a fashion that allows for that allows for other senses to become more acute. I never said they'd be better hunters or superhumans. C'mon man, stop trying to twist my words around.
