  • If the screen is unresponsive then if you have a frozen water bottle or something wrap a napkin around the water bottle and place it against the phone and wait 3-5 minutes and take the water bottle off and place the phone in between your hands and press for about a minute and see if it works!

  • Kind of disappointing that HTC does not cover this after 1.5 year the touch screen stopped working very frustrating.

They can fix it for 120 dollars if u call them. Still seems I will have to shut up and buy an apple next time.

Thanks for all of u who posted here also worked for me after I pressed ALL the buttons hard and the back behind the buttons BUT who knows till when...not very dependable solutions.

  • know what it is freakin memory over load, for me i took my memory card out and freakin left it out for a total of a few seconds when it had been frozen for an entire 2 days I WAS SO PISSED, and now its working......again, it started after i put music on my tmobile htc hd2 so dont use music if fries the touchscreen, i hate tmobile.....but i love the htc, life can be cruel.....

  • did you get this fixed? i heard if you press down on the red bottom right button, harder than usual,it will fix it. has something to do with an internal connection that is under the button that gets moved or something from repetitive pushing of that button within time. IDK, just something i came across.

  • @medranofamilytx oddly enough. my screen wasnt working at all....i had been trying to use the screen for 2 weeks and it wouldnt respond to me touching it AT ALL. after reading your comment i said wth and tryed it.....while pressing just the red button didnt work. i pressed down all the buttons VERY hard at the same time....and boom screen started working...just wow.tnx

  • @SGnrioX haha, thats awesome! It will freeze up again if you keep using the red button to put the phone to "sleep", in my experience. There is a really cool app that changes the user interface of the home screen to more of an Android type, its called Cookies Home Tab Editor that has a little "Lock" button on the actual touchscreen so you can put the phone to "sleep" without using the buttons. Been using it for weeks and my phone hasnt frozen up on my! Anywho, glad I can help.

  • @medranofamilytx my phone does the same i thought i fixed it by pushing down really hard and it worked perfectly for like 3 days now it wont work again helppp :((((((

  • @medranofamilytx that app doesnt come out in the market place

  • @Daniel405perez What also works for me is to press the red button repeatedly then wake it up with the green button. You usually have to do it a few times. Anywho, google "chteditor", it should be the first on on your results from xda-developers. Read it carefully and try at your own risk.

  • I'm having the same issue with my HD2 as well :P

But mine would sometime work, and then a few days later it'll not work again :P

  • its not. its a hardware problem you need to let your phone repair

  • it's the memory overload...

make hard reset...or re-install the rom...

  • @DomHouse I already did a hard reset twice, I don't know about reinstalling the rom because I just bought this phone from eBay, and I am hoping to get a refund.
