Yes! this may or may not have been noticed already, but at 1:22 Ben makes an oopsy on the chorus starting with "and though so empty were the faces" but catches himself, saving it with " and though so empty wer-lot machine is a robot amputee waving hello," but we all make mistakes. I can understand how a lot of people don't like this song, but i also understand why people do. It's a happy, and groovy song, and when people are upset, it helps to get them in a better mood. It took me time to realize that listening to brand new made me miserable, and listening to Death cab made me happy. sometimes it's not even about the music, it's about the tone.

Are you kidding me, right now?? Brand New. I know that band. They have some okay songs.. but they don't make you feel miserable... Death Cab's my favorite band... they have some pretty depressing songs. They aren't all happy songs. Listen to some of their older songs like No Joy in Mudville, and you should ESPECIALLY listen to Little Fury Bugs. Death Cab does have some happy songs, though. But not many. They're my favorite band, though.

Brand new does make me feel miserable, it's about the songs you listen to, Try sowing season. and i do agree, a lot of Death Cabs songs aren't happy, but the tone is. Death Cab plays in Major's, which are associated with hapiness. so maybe the meaning isn't, but the tone is.
