you want to cup the knee but you dont want to hold the triangle tight because it will limit your mobility on the bottom, just squeeze your knees tight, and spin to the inside or the outside

the first tip is the best IMO- prevention is the best defense- crossface before he gets deep and he wont get th deep half- guard
third- the choke looks nice but I think any1 whos good at dhg will defend it by rolling onto his other side
4th tip- pretty good but from that position the oponent will work for dhg again
5th- get the underhook. it limits his movements, gives u control u can go for a pass an armbar u can even try for a kimura
