  • Cheesy effects, Papyrus font, horrible music. Next time try keeping it simple.

  • it's an alright video..but where's the after....Did you ever drive through the beach area and video the devastation after the storm had passed. It was like a war zone...something we would only see in a movie. Weather can be destructive, but it is the aftermath that we do not show and the aftermath that means and depicts everything..

  • ...Funny how things come full circle....Was born and raised in Tuscaloosa AL where the old Showbiz was just leveled by a huge F4 tornado =(

  • Ha! West Florida Hospital where my twins were born the following April after Ivan....I just thought I was really carsick as we hauled ass to Birmingham....suprise, suprise

  • a lot of these clips are from hurricane-track during the storm and they were in golf shores

  • ummm wetrewolf xd

  • Ivan was fun, my cusin did some wind sailing early that morning after ivan made landfall with a blown off bumpster lid and a old tarp at the golf course in front of there house.

  • im only 9 when this happend i was only 4 scary times im a survivor

  • florida all the way, bitches

  • I think we may be dealing with a bit of perspective here. For me its a paradise, because I have lived in Greenville MS.and St. Louis MO.Comparatively it is paradise and I have chosen to live here for the last 35 years, and if mom nature will let me I will hang out a bit longer. Remember grass is always greener and blah blah blah? Let's see it was like 60 F today and in St.Louie it was 16 F and its Feb, I'll take it.

  • If you will read these and other sites carefully; people who weren't here and did not experience this monster will explain to you that this was a "little wind storm" and that the winds never got above 84 miles per hour anywhere around here and that the water surge was less than 12 feet. That is why the Interstate bridge vanished!!!!!!!!!!

  • W.A.H.! I live here in SR county and if you live here you get hurricanes get over it. Its the price you pay for living in a paradise, if you're dumb enough to build on a barrier island then expect your house to vanish in the waves Mama nature has no respect for you or your stuff. Surfin is good tho.

  • florida aint a paradise! its a piece of shit!

and i even live where the worlds whityest beaches are!!

  • I was born at West Florida Regional Medical Center on dec, 16 1978...Made a lump in my throat when i saw my hospital in that state :(

  • ugh we got hit by ivan it was 1 of the worst that hit us we didnt have power for a week or two

  • @redneckgal4 we had no power for a week

  • @WBCxOnline: Hush.

  • I don't like hurricanes that begin with an I. I lost everything in Galveston from Ike, still suffering and will for years. Extended family...Pensacola. Best friend .... Biloxi. We live in these places cuz this is the life we know. Fishing, shrimping, & working. We know nothing about cold. We will work hard to restore our cities and hope you will come and enjoy. Thanks to all who support us.

To Authorities, PLEASE RESTORE THE ROAD TO FORT PICKENS-serious history lost if not.

  • wtf? is that a werewolf in the begining? LOL!!!!!!

  • @sputnik6492 Come on now? Tell me you didnt miss the 80's "Showbiz Pizza Place"? That was Rolfe D. Wolfe ...I had the animatronics installed inmy home at the time...Now I have a building on my property in Pace called "Snap's Blast To The Past Museum" Check out my video with this title and you will see the entire show. Yesyou can book a party here also. Its private and secluded.

  • we (jay) got hit hard by ivan.

reminds me of the horibleness of it. we left and went to lake city near gainesville. b4 ivan we lived in a forest. now....its a clearing.

  • I never got to see stuff in P- cola, like the shot of JC Penny. That was weird. I was living in Jay at the time. My husband and son slept right thru the whole thing. I remember the sky kept "blinking". Like it was lightening, but there was never any thunder. ? It flashed like that all night. IT WAS AWESOME! I love storms. I hate for people to get hurt and die and lose homes etc, but I love stormy weather.

  • Ummm...interesting music choice ... the actual storm and damage clips are intriguing. I remember that night very well and will never forget it.

    I ... don't ... quite ... get ... the cat/dog thing.

  • Whats the name of the song??

  • robert miles - children

  • this is a weird video. It could have been good but whats up with the weird face on the cat..and shining continuously the light in the dogs face right down to his eye..he is obviously traumatized. Plus your pics go way to fast.

  • @mystacall Nah...thats Alex the retreiver....he is like that all the time. The cat face was directed at some individual who challenged me to a video competition. He was my old boss. So the picture is basically calling him another word for a cat :) lots of inside stuff there that the public wouldnt get. But still was a good video I think. Had to match the music to the video or it wouldnt have been creative. It would have just been another video with music.

  • only one person died in this hurricane but i rescued so manay animals my house is filled now and i love them

  • What is the name of the song playing in the background?

  • atmore alabama got ivan too the small town hit real hard big time

  • being a native of pensacola and riding out a few hurricanes...I still can't believe I survived IVAN.....

  • @cdella67 i cant belive i did to and i was only 4 when this happend and im still liven here never will move mabe mabe not

  • ivan mess all of us up all most took my dad away from me and destroyed are house took my car my moms car and my dads i remeber them mre's nasty ass shit but when its all u got it was hell going through ivan

  • part 2 of citrus these pitchdark too gives criminals more opportunity violent criminals to do more crime and no time what more do they think we all have? Want it this way florida keeps it this way had their opportunity and took it time for the electric chair over that long ago. But nuclear power plant is powers citrus county parts of it. Signs blew out of stores waltmart signs flew all over one little wind and trees landed on a electric line whole neighborhood was out of electric for weeks

  • Citrus was hit too and given out that army food need some. one storm after the other hit with funnell clouds and trees people could have cut their trees off the electric lines fires started in the trees cutting off electric whole neighborhood for days one drop of rain or wind. One state put the lines underground something wrong with florida. A huge fire ball from the nuclear power plan went down the road

  • I stayed up all night in pensacola during this storm, and attempted to look outside (through a window) with a flashlight, but it was pitch black. After the storm was hell, we had to get MRE's because all our food was spoiled, no AC for like 2 weeks, and out of school for like a month. I agree with everyone, People made such a small deal of Ivan yet such a huge one of Katrina. It sounds wrong to say this, but it isn't really fair...

  • i live in Spanish Fort, and i have to tell you we dodged the bullet. We did end up with the eyewall and eye hitting us but my heart goes to all of those that were hit by the east side of the storm, p-cola, gulf shores, and atmore. atmore looked like a atomic bomb was dropped on the town.

    Simply Amazing

  • My family had a house on the lake side in Grande Lagoon. 5 feet of water tore through the house along with extensive roof damage. The house was about 4 blocks back from the intercoastal and the gulf. The house was gutted, and we had it demolshed later. I talkedwith the head of the homeowners association in the neighborhood later, and he said that 10 died in Grande Lagoon. During the storm, I stayed at a hotel just north of 98 , and there is no way that the winds were less than 130 mph!

  • No one who was in Pensacola during Ivan, or for days after, will EVER forget; Katrina notwithstanding. I don't want to go through anything like that again!

  • May I know the title and the artist of the song?

  • Children by Robert Miles

  • yeah I feel like Hurricane Katrina was made to be such a big deal (which it was dont get me wrong) but IVAN ruined my entire senior year of highschool, i was out of school for amonth then had to live with my best friend for 2 months since we lived on the beach. I remember staying in some hotel in pensacola and afterwards having NO air conditioning and it was me my parents and grandma in 1 room with 1 king bed....H E L L!!!!!!!

  • Ivan..... IVAN!!!!! We stayed and road through it, and it was as close to hell as I've ever been. Not to bad on editing. The sad thing is that when Katrina hit everyone forgot about Ivan. I forgot about it but this is one heck of a song!!!!

  • my moms house was thrashed

  • Well, judging by the damage to West Florida Hospital, and according to the Enhanced Fujita Scale. I know I really should not be using a tornado scale damage assessment for a hurricane but it's the best I have. The average wind speed for that degree of damage is about 130mph.

  • I went there this summer and I saw what's left of the old Pensacola Bridge

  • Imagine....all this damage and destruction and the wind never even got over 87 mph? How could it be? I think this video, plus the fact that all the "experts" report Ivan really had no punch at all in Milton, Pace, Garcon Point, Pensacola, or Orange Beach...because there was just no wind....only 87MPH in Pensacola, should be shown listed as one of the worlds greatest mysteries. How did 87 MPH winds do all this damage?

  • Yeah..I know alot got killed in Grand Lagoon. And it wasn't mentioned much at all.

  • breeze i was in west FL hospital

  • dude i was staying in the motel across the street from west fla hospital dureing ivan i saw a tornado rip the hospital open! and the roof lifted up in our room and came back down! we coulda died! then i got some weird lung bacteria the next day .....still affected bye it!

  • yeah i here about that and what they dont tell you is how many people got killed bye that one tornado sucking people out. and they dont tell you about the 200 people that got killed in grand lagoon. the government covered it up and put a cap on how many people got killed they did the same for Katrina

  • Please, stop. There was no tornado that hit the hospital and "sucked" people out, that damage was caused by straight line winds. And no 200 did not die, you have absolutely no proof of it your just another drunk redneck spouting out bullshit.

  • No.Tornados DID go thru the hospital.

Why do you always revert to namecalling?
