i like it, it's very pretty. i have really tried to go natural but my hair was just way too nappy, course, and wooly all in one. do u have any suggestions?
I really found your video insightful but I was hoping you would show how you did your pin curls, it looks really good on you, and I would like to try that for myself. If you could do a video on it I would appreciate it. Thanks.
A friend of mine gave me an InStyler (evidently she got this buy-one-get-one deal from the infomercial). I've never used it. I am also natural. My hair is REALLY thick and long (to the middle of my back when blown out). This tutorial has given me the "umph" I needed to use my InStyler and try pin curls. Your hair looks VERY healthy and has a fabulous sheen to it. I can't WAIT to see how my hair turns out. Thanks again!
Hey, I love your hair. I'm thinking about getting th Instyler and I kept telling myself that I'm going to pincurl my hair as well. I am also natural with about 1 or 2 inches left with relaxer. My hair is past my shoulders and I couldn't do the big chop! You have inspired me to go ahead and make the investment in the Instyler. I just HATE blow drying my own hair. Thanks for the review. : )
Thanks for the information about the Instyler. I just bought one, and haven't used it yet. I also have natural hair like yours and I wear it curly in the summer time. The sheen and healthiness of your hair looks just like mine when I go the to the hairdresser, so your video was very helpful. Thanks again!!!
that looks great i have an instyler but i dont use it as often because im scared to get to close to my face my friends have burns fro it but it works great as long as your careful
Your hair is beautiful!!! I have an Instyler and I have extremely coarse(relaxed) hair and it works wonders!! I also use CHI styling Silk to finish!! I love the smell of the CHI silk!! Thanks for the video!! :)
Here I was thinking that only young, hot, thin girls made this kind of video. I guess after a 40 of O.E. or two she might look good to a nappy headed unemployed crack head who just got released from prison and hasn't had a woman in twenty years.
Healthy hair is gorgeous hair. After only 3 years of perming my hair, the volume decreased, my hair started falling out, so I stopped perming. There's nothing like going natural (braid it, wrap it neatly every night and use the instyler/curling irons every now and then). These heat irons also damage your hair so give your hair a break from the heat as much as you can. You're hair is gorgeous..don't go back to perms. My hair is slowly recovering, after growing it out fot 2 long years. I'm happy.
how long have you had ur instyler? or do u know how long ur stylist has had it? i would like to know because i hear that after like a month or so the thing starts to fall apart on you
@nct90 I have had my InStyler for over a year and it works just fine on my relaxed hair. I used to use it weekly for a couple of months but now just every once in a while (I prefer no low to no heat). I think it lasts just fine but I am holding on to my second one as a backup =)
great video, saw Instyler in a store and wasn't sure it would work on coarse hair. You inspired me to give it a try :) How long does it take to straighten your whole head? How long does it last when u straighten it?
thanks for watchin! It takes about an hour or less to do my whole head...and it will last a few days as long as it doesnt get wet! lol I have all natural hair so my hair shribbles up and curls when wet.
the only way you can speak your mind or be rude for that matter, is to post a mean comment from an account where you have NO videos or pics of yourself you coward! lol :) Thanks for watching...makes my views go up! hehe :)
do ou have a vids that shows how you pincurl? I try and always end up looking crazy. I think its the direction I roll in..please help lol. Im transitioning as well.
unfortunately not...i used to go to the salon to get it pin curled...i cant do it myself cuz i mess it up too! LOL Maybe the next time i go...i will ask her if i can record it :) Thanks for watching!
Question: I wear my hair natural, and wanted to know how well the Instyler keeps your hair from reverting back to frizzy/kinky, due to the rain or humidity? Thanks....and your hair looks great!
well there is nothing that you can do really to prevent natural hair from frizzing up when wet or if there is a lot of humidity....even the instyler....just speaking from my own personal experience :)
@gotmyown620 there are a lot of diff ways you can transition however you will eventually have to cut the permed hair off....but the way i did it was with straw curls....you can try that or maybe even braids.... :) thanks for watching
Your hair looks gorgous. How often do you go get a wash and set? How often do you apply heat? I am thinking about purchasing the instyler. It looks like it works great.
I absolutely love it! My hair is like yours and I can't wait to reach the 1 year mark (April 2010). Seeing vids like this encourage me to keep it going. Remarkable results!! and yes I'm loving the versatility
I feel the same way about winter months and had already planned on doing this in the colder months. Your hair is BEAUTIFUL!! And thanks I waaas wondering about the instyler for black hair......
I love the way your hair turned out! I am getting ready to buy the instyler but wanted to watch some videos from people who have already used it to make sure it's all it's cracked up to be. Thanks again for your video!
wow your hair turned out really beautiful i have the instyler and it works really good on my hair and i have natural hair like your but my is way more poofy good video
thats what I have.......If u check out my other videos u will see how my hair is in its natural state....before I use the instyler...I have my hair washed and blow dried so its easier to curl. I have never tried it on my natural hair without it being blowed out first. I assume that would be very hard to do...Hope that helped :)
yea im used to the straight look but i like the versatility of my hair now :) something i didnt really have before :) Good luck with your straight look :)
So I got my instyler, but I haven't used it. When you feel my hair it really feels like cotton....so i hope it works. I see that black people sware by it, but alot of white girls have mix reviews. I'm excited about using it...I'll give you update on how it did on my hair.
i love your hair...natural hair tends to look better than chemically treated hair when straightened because it has more volume/body and bounce...im gonna do this on my natural hair tomorrow, i hope it comes out similar to yours!
You look so cute, your hair looks shiny, healthy, bouncy and everything you would want it to be. Pin curls are the bomb - Ill have to try this! Thanks for sharing:-)
you hair is really pretty, probably the best pin curl results i've seem yet on youtube.
