  • -τι αμαξι εχεις?

    -ενα σκαραβαιο μωρε...

  • what kind of fuel pump are you using? i have stock fuel pump and my fuel lines (after fuel pump) after cruising a while always run dry.

  • Πού είναι τα φτερά οεο;;;

  • As an engine out of these?

  • i love old vw bugs and i drive a 240sx, rwd love!

  • 1+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ !!!

  • not bad. beetles can kick ass

  • That is not a 1961 beetle. Wrong taillights.

  • LOVE THE SOUND ! :D

  • Loco hein

  • queef,at 0:17

  • just finished my friend's 66 Beetle w/ a 1914.we built it from the ground up and it really matches no other feeling in the world when you first here it start up and watch it run,

  • that isdangerous,wow.

  • what happened when the car went off the dyno .... ?! rocket launch on the wall ?

  • check out the video of my bug it has a fatass turbo!

  • i love '61 and '62 bugs the most... my bug is about to get dressed up for it's 50th birthday haha

  • None of my VWs ever dreamed of sounding like this. Beautiful sound, sort of like an airplane. Good job!

  • @Petrafan95 Yes, it is!

  • @neckarsulme

    Lol

  • Where's the flippin straps!?!?!

  • Search for "Fusca 2.3" and you will se a beetle with 220hp! (Fusca = brazilian beetle)

  • what color is that car very nice

  • some inefo please

    cam

    crank

    piston heads

    carbs

    thanks

  • still really decent showing for how small these motors are very nice also sounded thanks for posint

  • Get rid of the vw case and fit a porsche engine. You will save a lot of time and money on rebuilds. Nice effort though!

  • @chimetrooper

errmmm no, the only Porsche engine that fits directly into a beetle with out major fannying about is a Porsche 356 engine. Then taking into consideration the only difference was an upping in the compression ratio from the equivalent beetle unit it's not worth doing. I'd stick with the Magnesium AS41 case and build a motor as shown in the video, or if going modern put a subaru unit in.

  • @BossHogg878 yes. The 356 had the 1600cc which, with Kadron carbies standard put out 90 bhp. The 1600 Beetle engine standard with the single Solex put out 54 bhp. The Porsche engine is quite bigger in a side by side comparison and is a therefore a better quality unit. Having said this, my belief is that the beetle is a 70mph machine at best and nowadays with speed cameras etc it doesn't make much sense building some of these beautiful machines as they will never be able to be used to full poten

  • @BossHogg878 I had a '62 beetle for many years. A magnificent little car. A mate was always blowing cases with his and another mate put a Mazda rotary in his. I can see what you are saying about the Subaru engines but friends have had problems with these as well. Thanks for the reply Boss. Can you tell me a bit more about this AS41 crankcase as I have been out of the VW scene for some years. Great vid though! Enjoyed every second of it. I still love these beautiful little cars!!!!

  • Blown Engine!! XD 0:16

  • @Radeon311 It's called a rev limiter....tard.

  • i like the way it sounds on 0:15-16 and on 0:17 you see a lil flame XD Cool V-Dub by the way

  • WOW Great #s!! How much hp on stock 1600?

  • @old12school3 to the wheels? like... 40 something.

  • @volksnerd87 Thanks

  • Is there another exhaust other than the stinger that gives good hp too?

  • Damn, that's one hell of an engine... 162 hp without even a supercharger! Natural Aspiration baby!

  • @Sarcasticscum kinda looks like theres a turbo dude. i'm not positive but that kinda looks like a turbine stickin out the engine bay

  • @dubspins That's the generator. This baby is N/A, no turbo!!

  • @dubspins - That would be called a generator (alternator). Not a turbo...

  • @dubspins have you considered removing yourself from the genepool?

thats a generator (alternator if he changed it over) this car is ALL motor.

Where the hell do you see the turbo connected to the exhaust, the hats over the carbs, the pipes for said turbo when do you hear a wastegate, a sudden spike in RPM?

    Fail.

  • This car is eviler than the man who designed it!

  • how much hp do you think a 2180cc with a 2 barrel progressive would have?

  • @MetalCranium3

Depend on all other factors such as:

CR, cam profile, rocker ratio, valve size, port size, port shape, rod ratio, fuel used, manifold design, ignition characteristics, exhaust design, air temp, atmospheric pressure, AFR, cooling system, timing gears, valve train weight. And much much more!!!!!!!!!

    And all for $5.95

  • @MetalCranium3 probably like 140-150s, the 2332's with a turbo run AT THE MOST 200 so 140 seems good. 140 is still a good number though. more than mine. haha

  • the motor is in the wrong place

  • had a stinger with j tubes and headers on my 1776cc 72 super beetle, nice little hp gain ......wish i had a dollar for every time i burnt my leg or tripped over that damn thing!!!

  • @wlb7718 Nice remark !!

  • @wlb7718 Ah man brother can't tell you how many times mine owned my shins as well.

  • Wats up everyone! hey i have a 64 bug i currently have a 1641 in it but i want something alot more powerful any suggestions? my price range is from $1500-$3000 please let me kno wat u guys think would be my best bet

  • @64bugz Subaru flat-4 turbos work but you'll need a stronger trans. and they are fairly common since their are so many D-bags crashing the shiny new STi that mommy and daddy just bought them.

  • @Qnickel27 , dont those Subara engine have the fuel injection, how hard would that be to transfer over to a bug?

  • @Qnickel27 i have a freeway flyier in there now what trans would u recomend?

  • @64bugz good luck!..if your case is still in good health I'd look into a 1776..save your money!

  • wouldnt like to prang it with that pipe sticking out ,but beautiful car

  • What were the first things the "people" put in the back of the vw's? Companies like oettinger were putting 356 motors in back and making them at least double in horsepower. This example, even with a type one block , far exceeds the standards of early vw modifier's wildest dreams. Gotta love the peoples car and all it's abilities to be so many different things to diff people....baha, cal look, myers manx, sleeper, hot rod, rat rod, highboy....opps time to get off soapbox...Bye4now...

  • Do you have a role cage in the car?

  • Are the numbers at the wheel or motor?

    Thanks!!

  • @KajunStick

    Wheel.

  • damn i bet that thing moves

  • Escuchen esa maquinaaa.... =0

  • Holy shit! Listen to that engine sound!!! Excellent Volkswagen Käfer, man!

  • which is it the cam are u using?

  • Perfect example of my dream cr it even has right kind of exhaust.

  • What does it do in the 0-100km/h with this 168hp ? How many seconds....? 7? 8? 6,5?

  • LOVE the sound

  • so what are the specs on the motor i know it's a 2275, but the internals???whats this baby got in it

  • awesome sound!

  • that is probably the best thing i have ever seen

  • i wonder if its possible to put a rotary engine in a bug

  • yes it is...just look it up..you can put subaru engines in them as well

  • @ShaneT87 go search youtube for rotary vdub. plenty of em

  • yes, a very quick super sedan ( built in the 1980's) in Australia was a 750 fiat arbath with a 13b normally aspirated, but heavily worked rotory (about 400hp at the wheels). that's in a smaller car than the beetle. The advantage of a rotory is it's high power with a compact size, the problem is a heuland gear box is the best set up (very expensive). Btw, a super sedan is an Australian racing class with converted road cars that are almost fully re built, with un restricted power.

  • @jcadlols no its not you fucking idiot its a nickname given to really fast sedans. do your homework b4 you blab fucking moron

  • @yourmom22345 I was saying the racing class this car was part of, i wasn't giving a definition for "super sedan", i was just explaining the type of race car the arbath was. Btw, have a read of a few of the comments on your page, they might give you an idea of what people think of you.

  • she sound awesome what power she producing

  • HAHAHAHAVVV

  • I don't think Hitler intended the beetle to be anything like this.

  • @loveanianimeme you are right...but man what a machine!! love how my stock 1600 engine with extractors blows flame on the backfire :D!!!

  • Ferdinand Porsche engineered the beetle.not hitler.

  • @vwdubnn

The "Peoples Car" was one of Hitlers Favourite Projekts. Of course it was a construction of Porsche. But Hitler concluded a contract to Porsche's office.

  • @loveanianimeme he did intend it to be fast so i guess he would be happy with this one

  • @loveanianimeme but maybe the designer of the car did (Porsche)

  • @loveanianimeme Or did he?

  • @loveanianimeme he might not have intended it...but he'd have blown a load over it

  • not exactly yr typical veedub fweem

    (O\_!_/O)

sounds like a propeller aeroplane Nice!

  • Are stingers illegal for road use in the uk?

  • no they are not legal for street use, you will be pulled over by the police or VOSA, whichever catch you first, plus your neighbours wouldn't be too happy either!! haha

  • I put a stinger on my 1973 lowrider- It sounds awesome!

  • what company made the stinger exhaust? it sounds friggen awesome

  • agree, it sounds bad ass!!

  • that stinger sounds good on that bug

  • michiganbball are you retarded? Do you even know what dyno testing is? The car didn't rev past a safe level at any point. All he was doing was testing how much power the engine makes.

  • you suck!

  • Hey dumbass, these engines don't have the high compression ratio that sportbike engines have. Also, they don't rev as high as a sportbike does and they don't have fuel injection.

Higher compression + fuel injection + higher revs = More horsepower.

    You moron.

  • a superbeetle i think has 9 to 1 compression.anymore than 10 to 1 on pump has and youll have preignition. And the only big reason you can rev a sport bike higher is because of a shorter stroke.and fuel injection is not all its craked up to be

  • hey, not trying to get in the arguement but another reason that sportbike engines rev really high or can without flying apart is because the piston stroke is so short.

  • @moogendood

ITS NOT FUEL INJECTED YOU IDIOT. It has dual Carbs.

  • @MillerRacing95

Hey IDIOT, the term fuel injection was used for a previous reply that has since been removed...dumbass...You think I'm blind or something!!?!?!? WHO can't see those dual Webers!

  • @moogendood

I didnt know it was form a previous conversation. I thought you acually thought it had fuel injection.

  • @moogendood so this is your car now?

  • @moogendood wow your a dumbass!

  • @Seanbug63 The correct word is, "you're". Looks like you're the dumbass!

  • @moogendood

    =pre-ignition

  • @moogendood so, why you so dislike carbs? injection is cure from everything?

  • @Q2kerS Dislike? Hell no! I've got my own set of 48 IDAs dude. I'm old school....I'm into keeping VWs N/A...No turbos, No F.I.!

  • @moogendood +1 tdude! you are in right way.. ;)

  • So you're comparing output between modern, water cooled, fuel injected superbikes with a 50 year old, air cooled flat four with a carburetor originally built for an economy car?

Do you know what these make stock?

    You're retarded.

  • i agree with moogendood, they only rev up to like 4-5 rmp

  • yeah but this engine is 48 years old and air cooled

  • Your name KID says it all... Stick to to what you know. ANYTHING over 150HP from a stroked VW is considered outstanding.

  • zzzzzzzzz.......nice......zzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • which is cheaper....a subaru engine or a 2276????

  • subaru for sure but there is more work in putting one in ie running pipes for the radiator and chopping some body work

  • (ô\_!_/ô)

  • I wish I bought a beetle instead of my used Saturn, but I was too afraid of getting hit by some moron.

  • What kind of exhaust does this have? I just got a 1970 bug with a tricked out engine, but the mufflers are super loud. I want that deeper sound that you have. My friend said that they throw fire like yours did at the end too haha.

  • its a merged header with stinger exhaust

  • ta chida tu nave wey

  • man i want a old beetle, but i want to put a hayabusa motor in it... that would be crazy. your car looks good too, i love the big pipe

  • You should add a turbo,

We have a sand rail running a 2442 @ 18lbs doing 420hp. Its a beast. I want to put the motor into a beetle

  • in a car that weights about 1800lbs...........that would qualify as Super duper Corky Retard fast!!

    DO IT!!!!!!

  • I know it would be pretty awesome

  • Considering it would take an 04 Cobra with about 900whp to keep up ya that would be awesome!! But the beetle would be sooo not streetable!

  • @Viking445 Your a dumbass fucktard stop thinking...fail!

  • @Seanbug63 LOL!! wtf? Who the hell fucked your boyfriend this morning?

  • thats a nice engine, me and my dad had a 2276 but it was in a rail buggy, it would climb just about anything

  • wow fire in the exhaust

  • yeah! LOL. I had a Kerker 4 into 1 on my stock 1600 dual port. Me and my friend would drive my Bug down allies at sundown, rev the engine all the way up and let off the gas and get several fire pops out the pipe.

You really got that heat when the fire comes out when you hit the gas, not let off of it. LOL.

  • maybe its more faster than our corrola

  • turn the volume all the way up soo ur neighbour will think ur racing in ur home LOL

  • That stinger rocks my socks!... so does that paint job!

  • That does sound nice.

  • make sure the engine doesn't blow up.

  • Sounds real gud

  • what

    that a original engine?

    hehehe

    woo

    smooking baby

  • OMG I WANT THAT BUG !!!!

  • how fast is it???

  • wow this one makes 162.8 to? remarkable, all these different engine combos NA and turbo in different cars all seem to make this magic number.

  • REALLY CRAZY HAHAHA

  • orale, pinche sonidazo!!! puro vocho!!

  • beetle bites hard.

  • LOL

  • how did they hook up the dyno without taking the engine out

  • unless its a pegleg then i get it

  • it's a chassis dyno, it drives through the wheels

  • i know that lol im just saying i cant see wheels or tires moving at all, also theres no straps so i was like ??? but my buddy said he saw the wheels move slightly so im gonna have to believe him lol

  • Only the right rear wheel is turning, the differential in the transaxle keeps the other wheel still.

  • Only if you block one wheel. That's how a differential works. Thats why you need a locking differential to drive off road f.e..

  • you know nothing!!!!!!

  • thank you, or should i say Do you?

  • :18 look at the accelerator bar in the engine compartment. You can see him letting go of the gas before the back fire.

But yeah, where is the strap? and what's that BIG guy doing in the back seat

  • its a linkage....fuel is obviously being dropped into the exhaust somehow so the fuel is igniting

    as usual in some vw's

  • good question lol

  • tmaybe they didn't have a strap so they put the BIG guy in the back instead

  • no straps needed, chocks on front wheels and dyno lowers into floor once car is set on rollers..........big guy in the back was to rty and put some weight on the back tyres because it was wheel spinning on the rollers

  • i was trying to be funny..but thanks for the info anyway

  • 2276cc reallllyy fucking crazy

  • OMG!!!

    its a airplane?! uHASUHUASHUASHAS

    =*

  • revssss mmmmmm.

  • wow!! amazing!!

  • That Bug sounds MEAN!!!

  • The exhaust is a stinger

  • could you tell me what type of exhaust that is please? I would like to start a beetle project.

  • badass dude. if only i had that in my 59 :(

  • Anyone hungry for some rice, burnt rice!!!

  • I AM!!!

  • nice
