I love listening to PT because it reminds me of my own music very much. Steven Wilson and I share the same influences: Pink Floyd and Metallica amongst others. And my drummer is heavily influenced by Jazz/Fusion, just like PT. Love it.

@Big77Jim That screaming rage was only really there when Roger was involved in the song. Floyd was subdued as hell (prior to The Wall and all that crap). I mean sure they had a few crazy Roger ones in the early days (which were great too), but their mellower stuff was REALLY calm. Admirably calm.

I've listened to a few songs now and don't see any correlation except a couple of bass drum patterns and an original style. Yet I saw comparisons to tool on 3 or 4 vids. Good stuff but a little too slow/soft for me. Need to listen to some darkstep dnb after this...

You know what. Musically the chord structure of stars die is very similar to she's moved on. Just follow the acoustic guitar on both the songs. Even the smallish solo at the end in stars die. Awesome songs both of them
