this is fantastic!!!!! although i do think that the quartet overall could have been a tad sharper in their articulation, because its such an intense movement, but i dont discredit an amazing performance!

I have listened to quite a few string quartets in my life (Griller, Budapest, Tacakcs, Julliard, Guarneri, Emerson, Italiano to name a few). This quartet shows impressive expression, energy and dexterity which I had long forgotten that this type of ensemble was capable of creating. Thank you Elias SQ. I will listen and see you soon in Puerto Rico.
Disclaimer: I know nothing about music. But this (and their recording of this) sounds significantly better than the award-winning Emerson quartet version.
