Yeah. They took a lot of things out on the remaster. I was very dissapointed with the remasted version of "Travel In Stygian" because they shortened Greely's scream by far too much after the spoken "The henchmen awaits you" part. Where there was supposed to be a little gap in between "It's time" and Greely' scream, they just cut right to a half assed version of Greely's great scream after "It's time!" on the remastered.

I downloaded the album from, literally, 8 different sources and couldn't find the song with the spoken part.

Yeah, that is Schaffer doing the Spoken words. I've listened to Iced Earth so much I can easily tell things like that:).

Schaffer does the opening narrative on "Before The Visions". John Greely sings the spoken words in the middle of "Mystical End".

i have stormrider and DOP version but neither have schaffer talking in the beginning

You obviously have the remastered version,the "spoken part" can be found in the original release (that's John Greely by the way not Schaffer)
