Wouldn't he kill or wound somebody almost by accident with that gun? There's an even more ridiculous scene in The Matrix btw. Neo comes down in a chopper with a minigun and blows every agent in the room to pieces while COMPLETELY missing Morpheus. Impossible!

I hope none of those cruisers had police dogs in them. If there were they are almost certainly dead. The Terminator scan had only indicated no HUMAN BEING casualties. But then again he had promised John Conner earlier with a raised right hand in an oath that he would not kill ANYONE and throughout the movie he started to learn the value of life so if there had been any K-9s he probably would have seen and avoided them as unlike the Terminators from the first movie he did not shoot dogs on sight.

I was there when they filmed this. I snuck onto the set with my friends and climbed on the rooftop of an adjacent building and watched them film these scenes. Then the next day went back and took pictures of all the shot up cop cars. That week Arnold walked into the Hilton hotel and briefly said "How you doin'" to me and my bud. Was a great time...epic film. That area in Fremont is now a great memory
