@yelson910 Yes, it was not reving high enough. I had done some port work that I hoped would help broaden the power band, but instead it made the motor real peaky and killed the bottom end. It felt like it had a turbo on it. When you watch the video, pay close attention to the few seconds after I almost spun out, you can hear the motor lug and then it hits the power band really quick right before I had to let off to turn. This motor is getting changed alot this year. Hope to have more video...
@yelson910 In this video, about 6800, I believe. The highest I've ran it is about 7800. I'm going to try to keep it under 7800, but I've added roller rockers and 55lb valve springs, big valves and I'm going to change the compression ratio. Also, at the time of the video I was using 87 pump gas but I will be going to alcohol with this motor this year. What are you running?

You say the gearing is to high. By this, do you mean that it's not reving enough?
