He's made me chuckle slightly with his "talking monkeys in space" special, The picture in the video was part of duncan trussell's comedy central pilot 'Thunderbrain' that never got picked up, duncan is good friends with joe. So he's passionate about martial arts, i don't hold that against him. And I applaud him for getting this info out to the mainly closed minded UFC crowd. Although he is just a fact regurgitation machine, and never makes me think hard either lol.

Do you know what that is, and what you can do with that? Joe Rogan is one of the "smartest" persons i know, one of those rare people who know, how much we really don't know... really.

wow. I've listened to damn near every Terrence lecture/rap in existence. Then I stumble on this. What I like about this, as he said, is because he's speaking to people who mostly don't know his work. Sometimes Terrence gets so so into the details that he looses the forest for the trees. Not his fault...he usually is speaking to the converted. But, I like talks like this where the broad picture is remembered. Excellent talk. One of my favorites. Any others like this you know of??

@avedic I think people who aren't familiar with a first-hand psychedelic experience can follow along with Terence McKenna's ideas in this lecture, that is, until about he reaches 22:25, then I'm sure he flies just about every one of those people's head at that point.

In another talk, instead of referring to it simply as "the mystery," he calls the psychedelic experience an encounter with the "Gaian mind," and proceeds to deconstruct the definition of that.
