He then concentrated more on composing - and is a reknowned composer on his own. This fine recording must be already from the 70ties.
This concerto is so much fun to play; for once the violas have the spotlight! My chamber group performed it at a recital and had such a phenomenal response to it. Gorgeous piece.

All Brandenburg Concertos are beautiful. This one is my favourite and this third movement deserves special attention.
