.....i also have a 52 card playing card deck that i sometimes use as divination and sometimes to play fun card games me and my mates know. texas hold em, switch, trumps, bridge , cribage, scabby queen and my fav strip pokker
tarot is not just a game, it has been embraced by many as a method for divination and has also been embraced by many as a central tool in advancing their spiritual, personal growth . all this from what started off as a just a game that i,ve never heard of and no one i knows has either! way to go tarot :) i have 3 decks, one i use for divination, thats the thoth deck. one i use for magick, the golden dawn magical torot and i have rider wait as well...cont
@Linedash I do not suggest that it has not or even should not be embraced for other uses. If people find means for spirital growth in it, then I'm cool with that. I have raised reasons to be sceptical of some divination claims.
While you and much of the English speaking world have not heard of the games, that does not mean they have no significance in the world, being played in a dozen countries including Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Germany, France, Denmark, Slovenia, etc, etc.
A bit of a killjoy aren't we? Tarot, astrology etc are all good fun and can be helpful by giving you a different slant on an issue. Nobody I know takes a reading as set in stone. People aren't as stupid as you seem to think. It's a combination of self help and entertainment.
I can't help but feel you are wasting your time on something that is only a bit of fun for most people when you could be using your energy to actually do some good in the world, raising money for a charity for example.
@Klute1977 Killjoy? I am nowhere trying to dictate how people should use the cards, nor do I suggest at any point that people are stupid. I lay out some reasons to be sceptical regarding divination. If you find flaw in those arguments, why not address them? I'm open to debate.
As for wasting my time - why? Do you use all your free time to raise for charity? Or do you have some personal interests that you enjoy spending a little time on? Really, my videos are hardly that extensive or frequent!
@Klute1977 I don't think this is a waste of time at all. On the contrary, as is stated in the beginning of the video, many people make important life decisions influenced by tarot card divination rather than listening to doctors, relatives, friends or their own hearts. Several of my friends have done this recently and it's what convinced me that not only is tarot card divination a lie, but it can be a harmful one. Anyway, bravo on a great video!
I really enjoyed this series, especially sine I am interested in finding out more about the games played with tarot and would love to share the cards with friends for purposes other than divination. This was a very informative series.
