man those were the days.rugrats,powerpuff girls,invader zim,dexter's lab,and johnny bravo were one of the cartoons I remember when I was like 6 or 7 yrs old.Now...i'm fiffteen and i still love those shows and i'm not growing out of it.
Camp Lazlo, Mr. Meaty, and Gym Partner's a MOnkey were all shows I actually enjoyed. Sure they were not as good as the ones in the past, but they are still way better than the ones on today.
Now this is just me venting... but i think the web kinda killed saturday mornings.. its like has any one seen what they play.. old reruns and some other junk.. gotta say loved waking up at 7am to try to catch the first block of the show... with every sugary cereal man has made XD miss em days but glad i got a chance to experience it

Johnny Test wasn't bad. But the Animation Renaissance started with DuckTales, Chip n Dale's Rescue Rangers, and Talespin. And it ended with Loonatics Unleashed (see the YT vid 'A New Bunny'). That's about when it devolved from being 'family' cartoons into 'kiddie' cartoons. And 'The Emperors New School' was one of the few (brief) survivors.

Danny Phantom wasn't that bad, but other than that, this video really touched me, believe it or not I started to cry remembering all the cartoons I used to watch, when they stopped showing them, I was like, ??? it was as if I got brainwashed, this video brought all my childhood memories back. Gargoyles was the shit. Even though it was a children's cartoon, it had a very mature theme. A cartoon like that would never be made today since it's too "violent." In one episode, the female cop who was friends with the Gargoyles was shot with a REAL gun.

The new stuff on cartoonnetwork that I can only describe as crap after crap is the reason I have reverted to watching anime from the 80's and 90's. Even Japan had a great hayday in the 90's but now is just crap.
Danny Phantom and Chowder are pretty nice but that is all that I like after the 2000's. I think many would agree that Danny Phantom would be the only cartoon that could hang well in this awesome 90's mix.
i was raised watching cartoons from the 60's 70's 80's tom cat, magilla gorilla, mazinger z... and i was born in the 80's but believe me if i had to pick a decade for the most good stuff... i would go for the 90s definitively without hesitating...
Some of the sucky "new" shows, weren't even close to being as horrible as Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place and stuff. For me, ever since Hannah Montana, Disney has been going south as well as Nick :/ That show HAD to ruin one of my favorite channels -_______-

I Caught A TEAR in my eye when i saw gargoyles and tail spin... but at least the 90's got a little taste of the 70s and 80s. We were still watching jetsons, speed racer, transformers, flinstons, tom and jerry, and the looney toons. And MY PARENTS and most adults I knew enjoyed GARGOYLES and TAIL SPIN and even rocket power, Hey Arnold!, Arthur!
I wish Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network would create a whole new channel and post re-runs of 90's cartoons. They did with the cartoons my mom grew up with and she can watch Yogi Bear all she wants now. It's not fair. </3
Now that im in my teens and i used to watch the stuff you mentioned in the end AND almost all of the 90's shows, you were right that kids like me would say that. The even worse part is that the crap that is on now is 100x worse than the stuff in 2008. I think we should rise up and protest to have a specific television channel just for our old favorites. In fact nickelodian did create one of those (nicktoons network) but when a new person bought nick they changed it into all new crapy cartoons.

Danny Phantom wasn't that bad, but other than that, this video really touched me, believe it or not I started to cry remembering all the cartoons I used to watch, when they stopped showing them, I was like, ??? it was as if I got brainwashed, this video brought all my childhood memories back. The part where it got REALLY loud scared the crap outta me, but I thought it was pretty funny though. LOL'd at the last part, EL TIGRE, CUZ MINORITIES ARE HILLARRIOUS...

all was good from 90s but intil the late 90s (98/9ish) is when they began to come up cheap F*** 'ed-up cartoon figures cheap layout backgrounds, I miss the rich good animation of the mid 90s. and powerpuff is one of the cheap cartoons were theres no effort on it, is lame and sux

Umm...I was born in Oct. 1996..soo...I don't really miss the 90s! xDDD...But I definitely miss the years 2000-2008!! :'(..Now for me those were the good days..but it seems that 90s were definitely much better than the mid 2000s...I soo wished I could experience the 90s a lil longer! @TheWitchking123 yeah i have a buddy who is was born 96 too samething he says but i tell him from the late 90s (98/99ish) is when cheap cartoon figures with a lazy cheap bakground started FACT 2000ish & up has NO EFFORT!!, there is only 3 out of 20 that are cool, todays cartoons are 2D flat n cheap or is pure CGI programing and (not real animated) just artificial, computer cartoons

@tireflip The 90's was before my generation (I'm a Teen. Sue me.) but I know for a fact that the cartoons kicked ASS. At least you guys got to actually watch them on TV! I'd give anything to watch Freakazoid, Pinky & the Brain', or Rocky's modern life like that. They really, really, really, REALLY need to show reruns more. :c

Gargoyles was the shit. Even though it was a children's cartoon, it had a very mature theme. A cartoon like that would never be made today since it's too "violent." In one episode, the female cop who was friends with the Gargoyles was shot with a REAL gun.

i think the reason the cartoons are lame now is because there may be some laws saying that they can only show very light voilence in cartoons now ever notice how in old cartoons like tom and jerry u may see tom with a gun well they cant do tht anymore becuase of some dumbass laws notice how in new cartoons u never see anyone at all ever dieing or getting hurt in any way (well maybe just a little) oh i miss these days like the old pokemon was awesome

Danny Phantom and Chowder are pretty nice but that is all that I like after the 2000's. I think many would agree that Danny Phantom would be the only cartoon that could hang well in this awesome 90's mix.

I didn't like shows like dexter's lab, johnny bravo, or gargoyles while growing up, but now I really miss them (I absolutely loved powerpuff girls)
I know that Dexter's lab, JB and the PPG, are on boomerang, but I consider that channel the cartoon graveyard and I don't like to think of my childhood cartoon's like their dead

I Caught A TEAR in my eye when i saw gargoyles and tail spin... but at least the 90's got a little taste of the 70s and 80s. We were still watching jetsons, speed racer, transformers, flinstons, tom and jerry, and the looney toons. And MY PARENTS and most adults I knew enjoyed GARGOYLES and TAIL SPIN and even rocket power, Hey Arnold!, Arthur!

Now that im in my teens and i used to watch the stuff you mentioned in the end AND almost all of the 90's shows, you were right that kids like me would say that. The even worse part is that the crap that is on now is 100x worse than the stuff in 2008. I think we should rise up and protest to have a specific television channel just for our old favorites. In fact nickelodian did create one of those (nicktoons network) but when a new person bought nick they changed it into all new crapy cartoons.

What happened to the days when kids watched Nickelodeon and say CARTOONS not some poorly CG'ed show about a couple of disgusting kids (FanBoy and Chum Chum) or a short lived celebrity's daughter (Hanna Montana) now all these five year old lil girls act and think like freakin 13 year olds... of course... Nick hasn't gotten as bad as the Disney channel.
