@MrManamana666 Not everywhere. They are illegal in the People's Republik of Kalifornia because that state is run by a bunch of panty-wetters and the gun is just too scary for them. In most states, if you have $10,000, pass a NICS background check, you can buy the rifle at any gun store. While 50cal rifles are very powerful, they aren't used for crime because the bad guys aren't likely to pony up $10k for a 5ft long, 30lb rifle when they can get a black market full-auto MAC-10 for under $1k.

Rifles are made to shoot things (target, people, animal, etc...) and you just shoot 5 rounds so quickly you couldn't possibly be aiming at anything. Some people like to use shotguns with slugs for close range deer. This would be a much better gun for deer hunting. Let's say you shoot a deer at 75 yards with this baby and hit the vitals. I guarantee you that he will drop in his tracks. Plus you won't have to take him to the butcher to make venison jerky. The .50 cal slug will do all the work.

@blabblab1212 thats a long rifle. it wouldnt be ideal for close quarter combat. turning corners with a m82 would be a bitch; plus if you fired that indoors, the exhaust from the muzzle brake would probably take off chunks of drywall haha. personally, i have the kel-tec PLR-16 pistol. its quite compact...

Seems to me that this would be a great home defense gun! I know what your thinking. A shotgun would be better. I say this would be better. Lets say three criminals are breaking into your home. You rack your shotgun and hit one in the shoulder taking him down. His other two buddies keep coming at you. Not good. Now the same scenario using the Barrett.
