@tucubanito305 Thats because the Cobra motor doesn't have regular 4.6 internals. They have forged internals learn what you're talking about. No the little 4.6 doesn't eat the LSx. The only way it does is by forced induction. Thats they only way a mod engine makes any power. Go to any mustang forum and they will even say that the LSx engines are detuned race engines. Good job as sticking your foot in your mouth.

@wsimpson86 See I can't completely agree with you. See I drive a WRX and I LOVE it along with anything else that is fast and not all riced out. People say "4 cylinder have to add turbo" and well YEAH they do because they have a 3rd of the displacement. All a turbo does is even out the playing field. You have 5.7L's of displacement, I have 2.0L with a turbo. To me that makes things even. Now turbo the 5.7L then you have a fucking problem lol. I love ALL cars that are fast.

I just don't get it if a motor is so much better then it shouldn't have a problem beating a v8 N/A. That's what 99% of import guys say is they're engine is better well you have forced induction thats a whole different story.

@wsimpson86 Yeah I have been working on cars since I was 10. Started with old school muscle cars 69 Camaros, chevelles etc. And then when I turned 18 I got a 97 Eclipse GSX which was my first turbo car and I fucking loved it! To me for the street I would have a turbo 4 with AWD all day long. You get good mpg when you baby it, traction when the roads turn shitty or when you need to launch. But for the track the bigger the better lol. In the end there really isn't any replacement for displacement.

But if it's fast I still give it respect. But I love the deep loping sound of a big V8. But the WRX/STi is a good acception to the rule, they sound like a V8 down low and can run like a bat out of hell if done right.

@wsimpson86 Yeah when done right they can run like a bat out of hell. But it just depends on what all is done to it. I run 11.90's in my 03 with stock internals :). And that's on the EJ205 the USDM 2.0's are better than what people give them credit for. You just have to know what you are doing is all. The tune is crucial for them.

@wsimpson86 Yeah I know only 2 civic guys and they are both cool. They know they don't stand a chance against a built V8. I have messed with some LS1's and I have to say they might be the best mass produced engine ever. Incredible power and for a V8 they have great mpg when you aren't beating on them. Anyone that denies that is a fucking moron lol. Most important when messing with cars is your hp/weight ratio so 4 cylinders can run strong. But they can't get to V8 power levels like 2,000+hp.

@gixxerfanatic : I feel sorry for you talking about 03-04 cobras because those cars with stock blower and nitrous can make up this camaros numbers and will make way more torque....so get an 03 cobra stock motor and with a good turbo set up you will be easly in the 850rwhp range....get all that out a stock 281c 4.6 !!!

And i bet this guy is running safe tune so no a 281 will in no way ever overpower a 347 small block and torque on a cobra is made high up in the rpm range compared to a ls1 that will walk a cobra stock from under 2500rpm's. So take your shit ford somewhere else. Also not to leave it out is this the reason why you see 4.6 liters in sportsman classes or pro outlaw. They can't compare to the 5.0.

i looked on the website and saw the two setups. obviously this video is the second one. did the first motor blow? website doesn't say whether it was a stock bottom end or not. what did it cost you to to complete your kit? what trans are you running? what gears are in the 9inch? what size turbo? do you have ground clearance issues with your downpipe? besides movignthe coolant reservoir and the alternator, what other modifications where made to the engine bay? thanks.

you can have a stock bottom end, you would have to forge the block, like pistons, rods to handle the high boost. Google aps turbos, they have awesome kits for fbodies.
