Glock 30 SF is a nice feel ..You have to have alien hands for the Glock 21 ..You need XL hands for it ..I have large hands and it wasnt a comfortable feel for me ...
Yes, he did call the Taurus a revolver. I'm sure he knows he difference. We all make mistakes in saying something different than we intended. No big deal.
These are all great pistols except for the Kahr. I used to own a Kahr P9 and it would FTF and FTE all the time! Since then I have bought a few other pistols and I really like the DA/SA pistols and not the striker fired pistols and the DAO pistols. Owning a DAO pistol is almost like a downgrade to me. I know that's how they operate but I like carrying the pistol with 1 in the chamber, and a manual safety or cocked and locked a la 1911. I don't like passive safeties! Personal preference again.
IMHO the best for a novice would probably not be the .45 ACP but given these pistols, I'd pick the S&W M&P or Glock, with a lean towards the M&P, especially if it's the model with a safety on it. Between recoil and cost of ammo, .45 is not a great caliber to start with but it's do-able. Khars are just not up to standard IMO, Glocks are dangerous if you don't know what you're doing, and 1911s take some experience and patience to properly break in and tune; definitely not a novice gun.
What kind of model/caliber Remington 700 is it? What model Glock is it? What's the condition on both? These are the questions to ask. Generally at face value I'd say no because Glocks are a dime a dozen, but a good 700 is something to hang onto, the guy letting go of the 700 to get a Glock is probably going to get screwed unless that 700 is in horrible shape and that Glock is new.
@Mr2ndAmendment i got a r700 its chamber in 30-06. im tryin to trade it in for a good handgun. me and my wifes store was robbed and moneys kinda tight to buy another gun. i dont really shoot it too often. its about a year old and i shot it once
Depending on what model 700 it is, you are most likely going to be on the short end of the stick for a 700/Glock swap. You can always sell the 700 in the classifieds or on consignment at a gun shop, then buy a Glock or other handgun and you'd still have at least $100 or maybe a little more left over for ammo or something else. Sell the 700 for as much as you can get, then buy a used Glock. Saving lots of money that way and still getting what you need.
@BettyBoopLover333 thats your opinion, i think diffrent. in my eyes the ONLY up side to a 9mm is how cheap the ammo is! other than that im .45ACP all the way. but i dont see the point in arguing over it!! if 9mm is what gets you all hot and happy then who am i to say diffrent, in my eyes ide never want another caliber handgun than a 1911 .45 ACP.
Obviously you don't know guns or what each one is individually capable of... It's common sense that a .45 has more power and would fuck you up more. And in a close range self defense situation ive seen people walk through 9mm bullets.... 45 ACP's...
@Babuschka1991 .45ACP is much better in terms of just killing power. though it is louder and kicks harder, you have to be able to handle it. though a +P hollow point 9mm will do the job well, if you can hit what youre aiming at. personally, I'd go with a .40S&W.
This gets a thumbs down because you FORGOT the only real 1911 platform out there the COLT 1911 why do people keep omitting the original and go for rip off copys!
Ok i am 11 years old and when my grandpa dies he is spliting his guns with me and my bro and my dad lives in country so we can shoot guns there andi have my own 22 luger and i love shooting pistols ive shot a 9mm a .380 semi auto a 22 and a 357 (which blew up in hands -_-) but i LOVE pistols But especially glocks and im wandering which caliber would be best oh and which model.
@pikachupowers With modern day hollowpoints no. Bedsides price. If you get a good 147gr (gold dots, federal hst, etc) 9mm hollowpoint it will expand to about 0.01-0.02 of a inch smaller then a good .45 230gr hollowpoint. Take the package with the most ammo that you can carry, can shoot the best, and practice the most with. Ill take a 9mm because ammo is cheaper. It has better penetration. Does the same damn thing expansion wise a .45 does. And you can carry more in a smaller package.
@Radion561 I shot a 9MM and a 45acp and I think the recoil in the 9mm was harder to handle during rapid fire, while I was more acurate during rapid fire with the .45
@GunWebsites is a 44 hard to handle im 16 i bench 120lbs max im 5 11 and ive never shot anything sept a 12 guage a 10 guage an ak74 an 47 and a ar 15 and a glock with a comp on it
@GunWebsites hahaha i never said i did well with those though my dad hate sguns but my uncle died and gave me 37 guns to keep track of and i have them in storage and i want the 44 and the 500 smithnwesson but i know the 500 is wayyyyy to big im to young to have a gun lscns and idk what to do with all of them anymore he didnt think he would drown so fast and he thought id be over 18 by the time he would die
@yermom57 depends if you're shooting them out of a revolver or a semi-auto, the felt recoil is very different. If you're talking about ft. lbs. the .44 hits a lot harder, but personally I find shooting a revolver (ie. ruger redhawk) is more like a firm fast handshake than a "Snap" motion you'd get in a .45 glock. Just my two cents!
I have shot a .45 acp Glock and it feels great, not as much of a recoil as I thought it would be but I have yet to shoot any 1911 model and I love the build and look, in my opinion even if I have not shot the 1911 I would go for the 1911 only because of safety, the Glock doesn't have a safety mechanism besides in the trigger which in anyone's case you pull the trigger then the gun goes off so just my opinion I love thee look of the 1911 and can't wait to own my own
Well I liked the video, a few terminologies misused however a very nice video.
I personally do not like some of your weapon choices IE: PT1911 the worst 1911 ever made, Kimber who is a poor shadow of the fine hand made 1911s they USE to make, and I don't like glocks but that one is just a personal dislike not a flaw in the gun.
Khar, I want to shoot one now to be honest, it's the only gun you have that I havnt shot and handled. How well does it shoot?
There have been a lot of problems with Glocks in .45 ACP. Small parts break, and there have even been catastrophic failures reported. I think that the polymer frame is too weak to handle the stronger recoil. I like the .45 ACP, but I only will use a 1911 pistol with it. For my money, Colt still makes the best. But, I have started carrying a Kimber UltaCarry2, and after some tweaking, it has been great. It is my primary carry weapon, now.
@suckamydickbitch...... Unless you live in crime-infested housing project, or a trailer that doubles as a meth lab......a house fire is not a real concern.
@suckamydickbitch how often do you have to shoot a gun that's been in a fire? And if you get the polymer to the point were it melts the springs in any gun will not function any more.
what gun would you say would be best for a person looking for a light, small gun. I don't want anything fancy, and especially nothing expensive. I want an airsoft/bb gun, so please give me the price of the airsoft gun. Thank you.
9mm also has the best chance of causing hydrostatic shock. Then again not many people survive one shot from a .45 hollow point. Personally I have a .45 and 9mm and I prefer the 9mm because of the low recoil I can put two bullets next to eachother in 2 very fast shots. 2 shots center mass and one to the head.
I know there is probally no steel versions of striker fired pistols, but is there Polymer hammerfired pistols? Polymer guns all seem to be striker fired
@GlaBurnzUrHouseAK47 sure any poly 1911 has a hammer. like a para. most 1911 with a double stack mag have polymer lowers {though i have no idea why you would want one} if you want poly buy a glock. if you want steel buy a kimber. :)
@GlaBurnzUrHouseAK47 Sig makes a couple polymer hammer fired the P250 and SP2022, H&K USP are hammer fired as are FN Herstal FNP's and FNX's..I also believe Taurus has one out now as well
@chabi3000 People compromise when carrying for self defense, 9mm handguns usually carry more rounds then .45's, also 9mm are a lot easier to conceal as .45 handguns are pretty big
i.e. I have a kel-tec p11 that can hold 10 + 1 with the option of buying a 15 S&W round magazine. Just comes down to personal preference...
Would you rather have 15 chances to put a threat down with a smaller round or 8 chances with a bigger round that has more recoil.
In my opinion the Springfield XD and XDM's are as popular as the glock, the M&P, the Kahrs and every other pistol you displayed, yet they were absent from your video. Is it because of personal preference or because you didn't have one available to review? Just askin...
@GunWebsites Hi, whats the diffrence between .45ACP and .45S&W.........whats the diffrence of acp and s&w, in a acp gun you cant use s&w? how does it work?
I would pinch my trigger finger on occasion firing my SIG 220...nice firing gun, balanced feel...but, my Colt Officer Compact was perfection all around...and at 1/2 the price of the Sig. Though Glock is a fine gun, I can never feel comfortable with the trigger safety and longer trigger squeeze, actually growing gray hair from the time I begin to squeeze till she goes BANG. With my Colt, I am one. Thank you Colt and are the posts I've been reading lately about Cold quality control accurate?
Most people think a revolver is only a revolver because it has a rotating cylinder and i think of it as such and won't really argue that point but i can understand the method of clip rotating as it fires except it doesn't revolve like a cylinder revolver and the fact a it ejects the round but that's not to say it isn't a revolver, think about it if someone showed me six guns, lol, i would.
I thought this was a verry good review. Sig carries other 45 caliber than 1911. My question is takeing everything under consideration which is your favorite or choice.
Hello. I am interested in purchasing a full size .45acp semi-auto. I do have small hands - I tried the Glock 21 & the 21SF & neither fit my hands well - although the 21FS ALMOST fit but was just a bit too big. Based upon that - is there any small grip .45acp you could recommend for me with my hands that are smaller than usual?? Thank You. Sincerely, JAMES.
@buzzclark I don't know how small your hands are but I know my full sized 1911 has alwasys been a good fit for my nephews since they were 12 and neither has big hands. Try them out in the store and I think you'll find they are a nice fit for anyone.

GlaBurnzUrHouseAK47 9 months ago
@GlaBurnzUrHouseAK47
I think it is more of a new / old thing than a polymer / metal thing
the smaller poly pistols have hammers (P22, P3AT, etc)
GunWebsites 9 months ago
@GlaBurnzUrHouseAK47 sure any poly 1911 has a hammer. like a para. most 1911 with a double stack mag have polymer lowers {though i have no idea why you would want one} if you want poly buy a glock. if you want steel buy a kimber. :)

If .45 Acp is more lethal why the heck are people using 9mm ?
chabi3000 9 months ago
@chabi3000 People compromise when carrying for self defense, 9mm handguns usually carry more rounds then .45's, also 9mm are a lot easier to conceal as .45 handguns are pretty big
i.e. I have a kel-tec p11 that can hold 10 + 1 with the option of buying a 15 S&W round magazine. Just comes down to personal preference...
Would you rather have 15 chances to put a threat down with a smaller round or 8 chances with a bigger round that has more recoil.
mike802 9 months ago
@chabi3000 depends on how accurate you are with any caliber is most important

@xGuideUNCUT Automatic Colt pistol
helloaustralia1 9 months ago
In my opinion the Springfield XD and XDM's are as popular as the glock, the M&P, the Kahrs and every other pistol you displayed, yet they were absent from your video. Is it because of personal preference or because you didn't have one available to review? Just askin...

Amazing that the Smith and Wesson weights exactly the same as the Glock. Great video, thanks for sharing.

BTW if i ask someone to show me a revolver i hope they show me a thompson machine gun with the automatic revolving cylinder magazine
sd2257 10 months ago

Thank You. Sincerely, JAMES.
buzzclark 1 year ago
@buzzclark I don't know how small your hands are but I know my full sized 1911 has alwasys been a good fit for my nephews since they were 12 and neither has big hands. Try them out in the store and I think you'll find they are a nice fit for anyone.
Themisticles27 10 months ago
.45 Acp + a USP, Glock, M1911, Taurus Judge, or a FNP.45 is probably the best handgun class in the world.
My reasons for this choosing when they are partying with 9mms im bringing the .45 handcannon of a gun
