For me it goes further than that, people have been scared to believe that guns will protect you, I never needed any and i rely on that those who have treathened me will Not use their weapons against me. So far so good. And I don´t rely/trust the cops either.
If we all want a safe peacefull planet we don´t use weapons, on the other hand, the elite in that case can push us around and use us as pets as they find it fitting. So yes it is a dilema.

My desire to acquire guns (assault rifles in particular), is based upon the concrete fact that this planet is not a very pleasant place, so these guns are the most effective means of defense against violent death by some felon that the state has refused to confine.
