I loved her as Sonya. Much better than the other portrayal. She had very MK-ish cries of pain and roars of fury. Plus she actually used a Sonya-esque move and a fatality! I was a little disappointed when she fell after her first spin kick, though. It seemed like she should have been able to stick it, it isn't that hard I know from experience, but she fell to the ground and got back up. Overall, fantastic. And I noticed a refreshing lack of cheesy puns

The weakest fight of both movies. I loved the sonia of the second movie cause the actress could actually fight. This one was only looks. Even the scene in which she puts her legs around his neck got filmed in reverse and was played backwards so it can look as if she went on her hands first and put her legs around his neck after. Horrible. The Kano actor fitted the role greatly but unfortunately didn't got enough of a fight to do because of the sonia actress lacking the martial art skills.

Even then this scene was awful.....Like someone pointed out, Kano went out like a total chump, and Sonya looked goofy and akward hopping around in her finicky fighting stance. Kano did absolutey jack shit, and Sonya was pulling moves that even an untrained white belt karate kid student could do.

This was the only weak fight scene in the film, although i wasn't too crazy over the fight between Lui Kang and Sub-Zero either. ;p, still this movie was classic. ;p

@Donatello97 I don't know if you got Mortal Kombat 2011 for ps3 or xbox360(I have it on PS3) but if you do and have played the story mode through, then you will probably agree with me that if they would had pulled the movie with this story and in that way instead of what they brought out, the movies would turn out to be great and everyone would also love them. In my opinion it was sad that they didn't had this writer script the movies back then when they were made. :/ Awesome story in the game!

They jettisoned all of the original actors but Robin Shou (Liu Kang) and Talisa Soto (Kitana) because they wanted to make MK:Annihlation on the cheap. Which explains why New Line chose a cinematographer who had never directed a feature film in his life to direct it. I though I read they approached Paul W. S. Anderson again to direct the third one since he made the first one work.
