I'll explain this for you.

Say if you were to spin your arm in circles for a long amount of time until your arm can't withstand movement anymore it would be a pretty long time. but you could imagine doing the exact same thing with a heavy piece of wood in your arm, it would create drag and put stress on your arm therefore making you less able to move you're arm wit efficiency. -pt1

Therefore loosing critical engine performance required out of these lightweight Japanese engines. Thermo fans run off battery power therefore creating no drag on the engine. @Genukie Also Thermo fans are muchly needed for a high performance aluminium engine, As the clutch fan runs off acceleration, At low RPM they don't gain much airflow as a Thermo fan would be creating a high amount of air flow at any RPM Range therefore keeping the engine cooler. So you can thrash the fuck out of the engine while having a great amount of airflow being produced by the thermo fan, And as you drop acceleration the fan is still working at max potential to cool the engine.

I work at an engineering workshop and change clutch fans on a daily basis and once the car is started it's spinning LOOLLZZZ. you can hold your hand on the fan and start the engine without it spinning and once you release your hand it spins. this happens at any temperature.
