I actually like this scrub. It really worked on my lips, making them so soft. I like the mirror when I don't have one because I can see if I get all the little flakes of skin or if I have sugar on my lips. By the way, YUM! I find that it works best before applying gloss or lipstick and before bed at night. I even use both sides together (from the top) to make for more gentle exfoliation. I would buy it again and I might turn my container into a toothpick holder or something cute.

i used the balm more then the scrub

you dont really need that much of the scrub..

solution..use a lip brush for the balm..

the just use the scrub directly on your lips

i wouldnt go out and buy something like that, i use the good old toothbrush and just like scrub at my lips but i use this really good chapstick and so i dnt need 2 use the toothbrush as long as i apply everytime it feels a little dry and it smells so minty fresh its really good

EASY TRICK: if you have really cracked and damaged lips. if you put polysporin on over night the dead skill lifts off in the morning and you have all new soft skin. i think that works better than sugar scrubs.

i actually do the opposite u do, i first apply the lip balm, because it makes sense to make the lip scrub glide on smoother. and most of the time i mix them both as if i were using a normal lipstick!!! im ok with it, but there was a avon lip scrub which was amazing but they dont make it anymore!! i think ill try the bath and body works one!!!

I have the Mac one [from Neo-Sci-Fi] and have the same problem... Well, almost. I use the exfoliator more!

Anyway, I make my own exfoliator with non-petroleum jelly and organic, raw sugar and it works WONDERS =]

what i do to remove all the dead skin cells and to just make my lips softer in general is i take a soft headed toothbrush and some vasaline (pretorelum jelly) and scrub my lips for like a minute sometimes two if i have time and just go it works GREAT and its basicly free. i can spend those $10 on something more important

obviously this isnt in the same price range, but the lipfusion xl REALLY gets rid of the dead skin on lips.. i tend to get like a layer of dead skin and i always have to apply lip balm and scrubbing them doesnt help cuz it just comes back an hour later, but when i got the lipfusion xl that layer seperated from my lip and after i got that off the dead skin never came back. pretty sure thats because of the hyaluronic acid altho the regular lipglosses with just collagen do that too.

Sounds really good but maybe you can try to put the balm on 1st then the scrub part 2nd so it's not so rough on the lips. Then you can reapply the balm after you're finished :)

i bought this product last Christmas, and I would pretty much agree with everything you said. I also thought it was a good deal for $11, but then i realized it didn't actually work all that well. I really want to try the Fresh Brown Sugar exofoliater,. Although I do think brushing your lips with your tooth brush and applying lip balm after works really well and is A LOT cheaper.

oh please...this product is so dumb...just brush your lips with your toothbrush when your brushing your teeth. then apply vaseline...works like a charm. been doing it for 15 years

i agree its not the best scrub in the world i ran out of the balm really quickly b/c my lips r so dry that i need to keep applying it on and the scrub did nothing for my dead skin on my lips and while i like the fact thats made with a lot of natural ingredients i wouldn't recommend it
