Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) portrays a pretty accurate 'nerd' character in Spaced, mostly 'cos it's autobiographical. In that case I don't think it's bad because the mockery comes from a genuine knowledge and affinity with the culture: he pokes gentle fun at it 'cos he's a true fan at heart.

Justin = The cool Geek, layed back and gets the chicks.

Pete = The geeks geek. There's nothing that this dude doesn't know about comics and could reel off any major comic book arc such as the age of apocalypse in a mere second, without a pause for thought.
