  • Learn what constitutes genocide, it happened and continues to happen, Australia has the highest rate of language loss in the world, and the government are still banning Aboriginal languages, out of 190+ indigenous peoples Australian Aboriginals are last in almost all areas, if poor countrys can do it why not us? The unemployment rate would skyrocket for non Aboriginals if the problems got fixed, thats the Aboriginal industry, Australia is no longer isolated, looking stupid internationaly now

  • Its the same system with the same laws and the same constitution with the same exclusion from input in the same country, Australia is in denile, nothing has been dealt with, only got recognised 45 years ago and still the leaders (dictators) wont sit and discuss the issues with us, ignoring the past has never worked, dont blame Aboriginals because your past and current leaders continue making false claims, claiming terra nullius was a huge (dumb) mistake, blame them and learn your history

  • so we pay respect when heeps of whites die(ww1,ww2 9.11 and many others) Yet we celebrate the day that people were kill in the thousans

  • the reasion why aboriginals are the way they are is because the whites but a lot of the people through hell, which gave them bad out looks on life, they braught up with that out look, then them kids had kids, and now, some still hold that negative.

  • Greetings from the USA! This video has sparked quite a conversation here in the US. My daughter wants to do a report on Australia from the Aboriginal point of view. We would like to speak directly to an aboriginal interested in sharing their views of Australia (via phone or Skype, or Youtube question & answer) for her high school project. Please send a message to me (through my Youtube name) with your email address. Thanks everyone and thank you for posting this video and outstanding poetry!

  • How ironic is this thread?!?!

Great work people: The naivety, ignorance, racism and abuse that you express in your commentary here is proof positive of the noble truths expressed in the beautiful poem contained in this video...

    Well done.

  • Racist scared whites in Australia, learn your history, to many dumb wankers

  • Just as I thought Narcman.Cant answer questions so you hide.

  • Thoughtful and well articulated post, it was to good to listen to. Whilst I agree it is a positive thing for people to be informed before taking it out on posts, I'd have to ask, have you yourself gone to the State Library to scour through history and related records of the mixed nationalities that make up the Australian population? Would this not give you also an understanding 'why' these Australians would write against or have such a negative reaction to most or part of Aboriginal protests?

  • "Indigenous massacres were genocide.Explain how that is so"

If u don't know I can't help you. Look up the U.N's guidelines. Even forced child removal is under the criteria.

  • "As Ive said now 3 times,I dont claim to be "part" Indigenous I said I have indigenous ancestors"

I'll ask again. Explain the difference.

  • @TheNarcMan Why are you not replying directly to me,just babbling on hoping I dont read your comments are you? The difference is I dont claim to be "part" aboriginal as it was 3 generations ago. Im not one of these idiots who claim " my great grandfather was a black fella so Im a black fella" even though they know nothing of the culture

  • @OzisGodscountry You could have two aboriginal parents and still know very little of the culture, that is the nature of the genocide that occurred in this country. People were displaced from their families, forbidden to speak their native language and made to assimilate with white people. The culture was lost.

  • @MsRitaJane And why were most of the children removed?Abuse (physical and sexual),sub-standard living conditions and starvation were just a few of the reasons. Yes many were taken for reasons that were not "good enough" but just remember it was happening to white children also. They were also free to return home (when possible) once they were 18 and could fend for themselves. In many documents of the time they speak of the steps taken to protect them not destroy them.

  • @MsRitaJane You cant compare the actions of yesteryear with social standards and ethics of today. What they were doing they believed to be the right actions. Not once have I have proof any actions were done to "wipe out" indigenous Australians.

  • @MsRitaJane Even the "Black Line" was for the protection of Indigenous Australians.Lieutenant-Governor George Arthur stated it be put in place out of fear of the “the extirpation of the Aboriginal race” and to protecthem from any possible violence at the hands of settlers or convicts and vice versa

  • You're not part koori, you're a full blood cunt.

  • It only excludes people like you who are "part aboriginal" with nothing to add, nothing to offer, just justifications for the Stolen Generation & massacres both recognised now as genocide by the U.N.

  • @TheNarcMan Ohhh so once again you change your stance. You change more than a bloody politician.First you say one thing then change because you realise just how predjudiced it is.

As Ive said now 3 times,I dont claim to be "part" Indigenous I said I have indigenous ancestors.

Also you continue to say Indigenous massacres were genocide.Explain how that is so (not that I expect you to answer, yopu dodge 90% of my questions.

  • Now people decide themselves who they are (as individuals) & collectively as a group. Is this bigoted? Really? Welcoming light featured people as long as they're genuine & truly related to community?

  • It might be offensive to "someone of koori heritage" who claims to know modern identity issues but sorry thats how it is. People were treated like maths fractions & told who & what they were. No more.

  • Pro black historians are "making a killing" rewriting history? U mean our other historians werent racist douchebags?

So did native people farm & build permanent dwellings? No back peddling/ignoring!

  • @TheNarcMan No not all historians are racist douchbags, some actually state facts not fabricate lies to further their career.

  • @TheNarcMan Once again pre or post colonisation?Hey I dont ignore or back peddle, thats your deal along with fabricating things I never said lol.

  • @OzisGodscountry

"Once again pre or post colonisation?"

Don't know what this refers to because of shortened comments. Ask a whole question if you can fit it in.

  • Now u stop back peddling. Are u religious? If so justify the church organisations being exempt from government crackdowns on child abuse complete with forced physical examinations of Catholic children

  • @TheNarcMan Firstly, how did I backpeddle? Secondly,Not religious in the slightest and agree all pedophiles should be taken to the nearest tree and hung by their testicles. But there is no exemption in place and Catholic priests found guilty are being jailed so wheres the exemption?

  • "So what YOU believe HAS to be the doctrine of all IA's?Wake up to yourself"

It's not what I believe. It's what I've heard from old people growing up. You would have too if you were telling the truth.

  • @TheNarcMan So are you suggesting any mixed heritage person who identifies themselves as both Indigenous and say English are wrong? No actually all the elders I grew up with had respect for ALL people. They didnt tell their family or friends what to believe or feel. You must have grown up with deadset predjudiced wankers.

  • @OzisGodscountry

"are you suggesting any mixed heritage person who identifies themselves as both Indigenous and say English are wrong?"

In many communities you're a black fella or you're not. Period.

  • @TheNarcMan So answer the question, are they wrong? Can someone who has both Indigenous and white ancestory identify with both?

  • @TheNarcMan Yes you did, followed by the classic 'you're either a black fella or you're not' and "part aboriginal people DONT embrace or own their heritage nor identify with it".Not "IA's who arent interested",you specifically said "part aboriginal people",thats ALL mixed IA's. Deleting comments and marking them as spam doesnt hide your predjudice

  • @TheNarcMan Still does not fall under the meaning genocide.Show proof that any action was evidence of a policy to "reduce native numbers", the same proof I have asked for many times.

  • @OzisGodscountry

Is your user name purely colloquial or are you genuinely a religious person who thinks this is God's land? Where priests fuck children & get protected by the vastly wealthy & one of the largest land owning organisations on earth, the Catholic Church.

You can justify the Stolen Generation by quoting wikipedia & probably the NT intervention too. So what about the endemic global pattern of Catholic priest abuse? Does the "koori part" of you agree we should kick church doors in?

  • @TheNarcMan Yes its a term of speech idiot.Do you think I believe God lives a few doors down PMSL.

Haha I take Wiki with a grain of salt, any info I read on there I cross reference with reputable sources unlike your diatribe about the Conniston Massacre lol.

  • @TheNarcMan "Koori part"? Are you just flat out trying to be a predjudiced shit stain?

  • @TheNarcMan WTF are you talking about? You quote something I said then answer with something totally irrelevent to the comment, cant you see how ridiculous that is?

  • @OzisGodscountry

"In cases of taking children away from parents who abuse them is justified"

Child removal was done based on colour. No questions asked. Black children were removed. White parents lost children they probably shouldnt have too & I would welcome more public recognition of this but using singular events of child abuse to justify stolen generation & the NT intervention while most victims are still non black without an intervention is a sick joke. Intervene in the Catholic Church too!

  • @OzisGodscountry

Your allegiance isn't to "Oz". You're all about being white & talking shit on the Internet. You deny any real attempts towards genocide while white kids on the net cry about anti-white genocide today in non white immigration to "white" countries like Australia LOL. If you're really from koori heritage you're living proof eugenics worked to break down appearance & identity until someone with a black ancestor sympathises more with a British teen then his own countrymen. Douche.

  • @TheNarcMan LOL,how does someone "Be White" lol? Once again with the predjudice BS.Because I dispute the claims you have made, doesnt make me anti-black.I tell you what, show me the proof of systematic genocide in Australia and this time research the meaning of genocide first. Its not just white kids complaining about immigration.Ive heard Aust-Asian, Lebs, Koori's you name it complain as well.So whats your point?

  • @TheNarcMan Heres the perfect example of your stupidity. How is my posting of a video on my profile PROOF I look a certain way or identify with one ethnic group over another?I use to have a video of the Ainu on there before that,oh that must mean I like Aisain more than whites using your braindead theory. Maybe you should quit making stupid assumptions before you make an even bigger fool of yourself. Now whos the douche lol

  • @OzisGodscountry

You have the nerve to claim Stolen Generation was justified by abuse (cite your sources that prove that please) & the whole genocide thing was overblown (massacres were sometimes justified by a single attack from an Aboriginal). Hmm, didn't know death sentences were given out before a trial including to people innocent of any wrong.

Then I see 1 of your favourite videos is about a white youth attacked in the U.K by racist non whites like u wanna cry him a river. Lol.

  • @TheNarcMan In cases of taking children away from parents who abuse them is justified. The "Stolen generation" implies it was a systematic and total "taking" of an entire generation of IA children, this is far from the truth. In 1996 Robert Manne was asked for 10 names of "stolen" children.Over the next 8 years he brought forward numerous names only to find they were being terribly abused eg Dolly a 13 year girl who was pregnant and Topsy who was a fatherless 12-year-old with syphilis.

  • @TheNarcMan Also how is genocide relevent to the Conniston Massacre? You really should research the true meaning of genocide because I think you're quite confused.

Dodgy historians are making a killing by fabricating Australias early history

EG Henry Reynolds in his book "The Other Side of the Frontier" claims that 10,000 Aborigines were killed in Queensland before Federation. The source was researched further to find that this was the death toll of whites.Only one of many BS stories

  • @OzisGodscountry

"Dodgy historians are making a killing by fabricating Australias early history"

    Racist apologists are the leading thinkers to this day for example;

Did blacks use architecture & farm?

  • @TheNarcMan Prior to Colonisation or after?

  • @TheNarcMan As far as the video on my profile page, thank you for proving something. That you dont give two hoots if its a white man attacked, only people of your own ethnicity. No sympathy for someone bashed who isnt your skin colour. Now whos the racist idiot?

  • @TheNarcMan Ahhh but you stated "1 of your favourite videos is about a white youth attacked in the U.K by racist non whites like u wanna cry him a river". Is this not belittling the attack on the man or in fact any white person who's a victim to racist attacks?

  • @OzisGodscountry

Notice how I even called them racists in my comment?

    "Now whos the racist idiot?"

You. Are u Aussie or British? Oh but being white trumps that! Ergo racist lol.

    Unbelievable.

  • @illsyllable

    Its too late to stop the secrets of history being exposed now;

Including mobs that lived in stone houses in Victoria & big complex joined family houses in QLD etc, message stick technology & art symbols were on a trajectory to become a hieroglyphic type writing system one day. Women planted & tended yam & grass crops & kept surplus in Roo skin bags, built clay dams, fish traps, eel farms, list goes on.

When young ones learn this & go back to it pride will lead to hope then change.

  • This is the best!!!

  • I have researched Indigenous history but not just the textbooks that promote the belief of genocide and the whole "stolen generation" theory.I researched by questioning the information that led to these theories. There was no genocide and the whole stolen generation theory is the most biased piece of nonsense Ive read. And before The racist!!! calls start know I have koori heritage, have grown up with their culture and my best mate of 30 years is a proud koori.

  • @OzisGodscountry

    "There was no genocide"

How many blacks got shot at Alice Springs in the 1920's again? Australian media has yearly anniversary news reports of car piles up that killed 5 or 6 people etc. Don't tell me blacks hold on to unjustifiable grievances.

"stolen generation theory is the most biased piece of nonsense Ive read"

That conclusion tells me your reading was biased.

If you really have koori heritage but grew up with "their" culture you'd know that statement is self contradictory.

  • @TheNarcMan The Coniston incident where 30-100 Indigenous Australians were killed was caused by a murder commited by members of a local tribe.Just how is that genocide? Just goes to show you have no proof of any supposed genocide if thats the best you have.

  • @OzisGodscountry

"The Coniston incident.. caused by a murder commited by members of a local tribe. Just how is that genocide?"

Unbiased research huh? One white man was killed by one black man. The white man's 'law of reciprocity' dictated horrific revenge was used as a deterrent against blacks.

Constable William Murray led a 'boong hunt' that lasted several days shooting any men they saw. Captured black boys even smashed their own feet to prevent being forced to lead the police to other natives.

  • @TheNarcMan No actually it wasnt one man killed another with reports up to 30-40 IA's involved. The resulting attacks by white (with the help of indigenous trackers) which were terrible and heavy handed to the extreme to say the least considering the murder and the many reports of IA's spearing cattle doesnt excuse the killing of innocent people. But there was no "boong hunt",William Murray was not under ANY orders to kill IA's But how is this genocide? Its not lol.

  • @OzisGodscountry

"No actually it wasnt one man killed another with reports up to 30-40 IA's involved"

Reports of a mob of blacks chopping someone up were a lie. One man killed another man for sleeping with his wife. Others helped to hide the body then banished the killer & his best friends for fear of reciprocity. Didn't help.

"William Murray was not under ANY orders to kill IA's"

Lawmen had licence to use whatever means including deadly force. This was a standard policy used only on blacks.

  • @OzisGodscountry

Constable Murray was considered a 'hero of the North' for his part in the massacre.

"Just goes to show you have no proof of any supposed genocide if thats the best you have"

It's just one example of the policy of reciprocity which was always a lot more severe then 'eye for an eye- tooth for a tooth'. More like 'for every one of us you kill we kill 30 of you'.

  • @TheNarcMan He may have been regarded as a hero for capturing the murderers of Brooks but that was prior to news of the subsequent IA's deaths. When news broke WHITE Australians and people worldwide were appalled and demanded an investigation and justice. One white mans terrible actions cannot be deemed genocide nor justify your comment 'for every one of us you kill we kill 30 of you' considering more IA's murdered white settlers than vice versa

  • @OzisGodscountry

"regarded as a hero for capturing the murderers of Brooks"

A naive or convenient take on how fast word travelled

"One white mans terrible actions cannot be deemed genocide"

The entrenched government policy can be. You're acting like this was the only massacre. It began in the Sydney basin early on & didn't stop until the 1920's.

"more IA's murdered white settlers than vice versa"

    LOL!

"They shoot at us like possums!" as 1 man complained to a sympathetic white settler once

  • @TheNarcMan

"A naive or convenient take on how fast word travelled".What,a week since his capture to when he returned to town had passed so how is this naive or convenient lol.

"The entrenched government policy can be".Show evidence of an "entrenched government policy" considering most massacres were a result of attacks by blacks.

"LOL!" Research before making a fool of yourself.

As far as your last comment goes, how about a reputable source not just 1 man complaining to another

  • @TheNarcMan So my reading was biased but yours isnt?I actuallly research not just read.Im sure there was many cases,of both black and white children, where children were taken for reasons not good enough by todays standards but the vast majority were taken for the safety. Many were being sexually abused.

I referred to "their" culture because I was raised in a non-Indigenous household and therefore it isnt MY culture, its one of my ancestors culture. How is that self contradictory?

  • @OzisGodscountry

    "How is that self contradictory?"

Being raised around "their" culture implied a sense of proximity to me. But I know personally that if you were close to any mob in the country you'd know that "part aboriginals" who aren't interested in owning or embracing their identity just don't talk about it. You should know that 'you're either a black fella or you're not'. So it just sounds like you aren't aware of this modern identification criterion 101 or disregard it entirely.

  • @TheNarcMan You are actually correct,IA's who arent interested in their culture dont talk about it.But your comment 'you're either a black fella or you're not' is just stupid and pure bogus. So if you have both black and white ancestory and you identify yourself as both means your not "a black fella"?? Wake up to your predjudice self !My best mate of 25 years is of mixed heritage and proud of both sides, his mther teaches IA culture yet according to you he isnt a "black fella" Wake up!

  • @OzisGodscountry

"You are actually correct,IA's who arent interested in their culture dont talk about it"

I didnt say that. I said "part aboriginal" people dont embrace or own their heritage nor identify with it. They usually just throw it out there to justify saying something stupid. People are either indigenous or not. Theres no "part" in the equation. Reducing people to a human fraction (1/8th etc) was a part of Eugenics to keep track of the breeding out program. Happened in U.S & Canada too.

  • @TheNarcMan Considering there is supposedly no full blooded IA's left they are all "part aboriginal" so your claim that "part aboriginal" people dont embrace or own their heritage nor identify with it" is complete nonsense. For you to even suggest that idiotic remark is offensive to ALL IA's.The law regarding 1/8 only came to be in the last 40 years or so so that dispels your Eugenics theory it was part of the "breeding out" of IA's lol.

  • @OzisGodscountry

"Considering there is supposedly no full blooded IA's left they are all "part aboriginal""

.... ???? .... WTF???? No "full bloods" left? LOL!!!

    You're fucking mad!

  • @OzisGodscountry

"The law regarding 1/8 only came to be in the last 40 years or so"

U mean the law of mathematical fractions? Or do you think genocide can only be carried out by law? Pre-law is okay?

  • @OzisGodscountry

Humans have been aware of "half breed" races ever since two groups of people met from far away lands. 1/4 then 1/8th logically follows. Certain people always favoured breeding out.

  • @TheNarcMan And your point is?

  • @OzisGodscountry

"Wake up to your predjudice self !"

If a "1/4" Chinese person wants to claim they're Chinese despite only having 1 Chinese grandparent I don't care. If they want to claim white & reduce themselves to "part Chinese" but not practice the language & culture that's fine too. They could even do both. If they speak perfect English & appear "white" to society but speak Mandarin at home & visit relatives in China, great.

In the case of koori's theres rebellion against this "part" stuff

  • @TheNarcMan Dont go back peddling. You said "part aboriginal people dont embrace or own their heritage nor identify with it"Now you say theres a rebellion against this "part" stuff. So what YOU believe HAS to be the doctrine of all IA's?Wake up to yourself.

  • @OzisGodscountry

    "Dont go back peddling"

Okay in my next comment I'll cut/paste EXACTLY what I said earlier to show the quote marks indicated sarcasm towards people like you who are "part" aboriginal.

  • @TheNarcMan Wrong again (getting sick of it yet?). I NEVER said I was "part" aboriginal,I said I had aboriginal ancestory. There is a huge difference. There was no sarcasm, you flat out stated "part aboriginal people dont embrace or own their heritage nor identify with it".If you believe thats sarcasm than you need to research that word as well as genocide lol.

  • White supremacy reaches far and wide great upload. Peace from the UK

  • White lover

  • thanks mate

  • HIIIIII FRED

  • Comment removed

  • Pacific Islander Protection Act of 1875 was legal internationally but it was hidden from everyone and then ammended in secret---in Australiawe are fed lies by the top 3% with all the wealth keep the majority of wudjulah's (non-Indigenous) people fooled into being racist tools so they can hold onto everything---The UN just called the Australian government racist and I bet they're just falling over themselves for that wealthy, racist minority too---

  • No treaty, no terra nullius, never declared war, english common law never protected or counted Aboriginals, is this colony even legal? Typical aussie wankers wont discuss the cause, just continue on their uneducated racist rants, thst why this shit happens because aussies are so dumb they dont know the law or our history, keep showing the world how dumb, racist and misinformed you aussies are, it proves our point, thanks dumb arse

  • @gunailad So you say Australians (ie WHITE Australians) are dumb, uneducated, racist etc.Do you just see the hypocracy you have just dribbled? You just labelled all white Australians dumb, uneducated, racist lol.And what if someones half white/black? Does that make them half dumb, uneducated, racist?Keep segregating Australians and keep defying what the original Indigenous campaigners were fighting for, equality.

  • amen cuz.

  • This is what happens when a abo sniffes paint and sets up a youtube video crying like a baby about the past. MOVE ONE NOONGA.

Get off the petrol sniffing you asshole and stop making everyone feel bad for you. I dont care for you and I AM NOT SORRY FOR YOU OR FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR GRANDADDY...hahaha

  • @GordonNoonga go fuck yourself you racist arsehole.

  • Yeah Australians dont really know how great and beautiful Aboriginal culture is, we like it like that, the uneducated fools who spew racial hatred and repeat 20 year old propaganda are doing our hardest task, exposing the truth! We all know we have official and unofficial policys that remove human rights for Aboriginals as of today, not the past, the conservatives biggest fear is education, love it when internationals see the truth, education is Australias biggest issue!

  • Wow! Thank you my brother I was touched to hear such wonderful words of healing, wisdom and truth. I think we should have a "Change The Date" campaign and I think all Australians should watch Babakiueria, First Australians and Kanyini. Of course there are other great films and docos exploring these themes but these three impacted me as a white fella the most. Peace!

  • Beautiful work.

I'm a white Australian female - I took a lot of Australian History electives and I often found myself wishing I could be a part of that culture, your culture. So much is lost we all will never reclaim. Even in my work (I'm a Zoologist working in conservation) we often talk of how much Indigenous knowledge is lost, techniques we would today use for the betterment of nature had the genocide not occurred. I mourn for what we lost every day. For you the pain must be tenfold.

  • Thanks Bro, well said. Let's have an Australia day we can all celebrate!

  • My belief is that life is what we make it. I do not believe that it is only indigenous Australians who have been disadvantaged in the past, I do not believe that I have to apologise for the wrongs of others. I think that Australia day is a day for us to celebrate the life we have now, not dwell over the way things were back then. These days we are all given the necessary tools to make a good life for ourselves, it's what you do with those tools that make all the difference.

  • @yamum

Assimilation will never work, who wants to be like uneducated aussies

  • great poem mate,

  • In Qld aboriginals make up 2% of the population but they make up 20% of the prison population. I'm not going to apologise for shit that happened decades before I was born. Fucken aboriginals think white people owe them everything. Get fucked! The majority of you scum are criminals who break into other peoples houses, bash people for no reason other than the fact that they are white and then have the fucken audacity to call us fucking racists. I really wish Cook had have wiped all you cunts out.

  • @yamum1976 its called RESPECT BUD!

  • @yamum1976 I know you're beyond thinking logically as evidenced by your racist, uneducated rant (an opinion that sadly a lot of white australians shsare) so three words: Prison industrial complex. Think about why a larger proportion of minorities are in prison than wider society. Could it be that racism in law enforcement incarcerates minorities at a larger rate than white people for crimes that white people can get away with or be sentences less for? It's true though.

  • @sparksfly44 Ohh geez so that't why. All this time I thought it was because they were doing the crimes. I feel better now knowing that the only reason they are there is because the cops arrest them for things they don't do. Piss off mate I work in a prison and the thieving low life cunts are guilty 100% of the time. And it's because of people like you telling them shit that they will never take responsibilty for their own actions.

  • @yamum1976 no one gives a shit if you work in a prison. Most Prison Guards these days are spineless and gutless. Bet you couldnt single-handedly run a wing of maximum security prisoners. You probably need back up to do a cell extraction if a prisoner loses his shit. Until that day, shut your fucking mouth about being a screw you racist piece of shit. Oh yeah and for the record, there are also Asians, Lebs, Whites, and Black people in Prisons.

  • @bigblindray Go fuck yourself hero. I didn't say I was a screw, I said I work in a prison. I work in the gymnasium. You sound like you know a fair bit about prisons your probably an ex-crim coon piece of shit. I really love you cunts that talk real tough from the safety of your keyboard if we ever had this conversation face to face it would be you that would need the back up I can promise you that.

  • @sparksfly44 Racism in law enforcement!!! Give me a fucken break. This is exactly my point. Every single time an abo doesn't get what he wants he screams racism. tell me why would cops arrest them and incarcerate them for nothing? Don't get me wrong I have met some really good aboriginals but sadly it is the majority of abos that make the minority look bad. Not the other way around. Instead of trying to educate us "racist white people" how about you get your own people to wake up to themselves.

  • @yamum1976 I am a "white" Australian who has lived in a community with a high Aboriginal population. It is obvious that you, and the others that are embarrassing me with your obscene racist slurs, do not know anyone Aboriginal well enough to be considered a friend. So don't waste our time with your ill informed comments. Or do you prefer to pretend that the the representation of Aboriginal people on the news is a acurate and rounded portrayl of most Aboriginal people?

  • @daniellelouise51 Well congratulations on being a white Australian who is embarrassed by the truth. The representation of aboriginals in the news does not concern me. What does concern me is mine and countless others personal experience. I know it's wrong to generalise a whole race of people but seriously can you blame us? Go for a walk through Alice springs or Darwin and have a look at them shitting in the street. Or go to a settlement and look at the stats of child abuse and incest.

  • @daniellelouise51 And to top it off they constantly have do gooders telling them it's not their fault that they are over represented in the prison statistics coz "the white man has been stealing their land and bla bla bla. I've heard elders give speeches to these fucking scumbags who have raped, thieved, bashed, killed etc and they were saying that it's not their fault that they have landed in prison. I have had mates who've been hospitalised by gangs of abos who bashed them just coz they're white.

  • Just for the record, Aboriginals dont make white feel shame, you have had 224 years since cook, 110 years since federation, 45 years since the we got the vote and you all felt nothing in the way of shame, now the world can see and we are responsable for your shame, sorry but its self inflicted, we cant comfort you in your shame like you never comforted us during the last 224 years, grin and bare it, imagine if white Australia actually had a problem? My sore ears

  • I love this video. Good job cuz!!

I get sick of explaining this EVERY 'Australia Day' to my white friends, now I can just post this video. LOL. =)

  • Great video. Excellent words. Now if only the government, education systems and dominant social media would stop distorting the truth, own up to what has been going on for 224 years and help create a better set of attitudes for the Australians that still don't get it. Australia Day could be on any other day than the one they have chosen - even that choice is loaded with colonial intent.

Anyway, keep up the good work. I'd like to see more people revealing their views and histories online.

  • I have no ill feeling towards white Australians for the past but they do need to stop feeling guilty for what their Ancestors done, Im not affected in a negative way at all, i love and repect all individuals and have no regrets and this gains me the respect i deserve.

  • @illsyllable strong words brother, you make me proud to be murri, i watch this every time i get sick of defending our culture and feeling bad for standing up for our rights. i showed this to all the people that were writing about the flag burning incedent and it literaly blew their minds, so i just want to say thank you man for this video i really appreciate it and dont stop being deadly [-0-]

  • I'd like a clear and definitive answer what Indigenous Australians want. I hear cries of "give us back our land" which is a fairly loose statement; do you mean actually give it back and kick off the people living their who paid for that land with money?

Sure, a lot a ignorance pervades White society, and I hear more aboriginal studies will be part of the curriculum which is good as long as its aim isn't to make Aussie kids feel ashamed about themselves.

  • @pradawallflower - he is handsome through and through. I'd love to come down under and meet him, and other of my brown-skinned brothers & sisters... Start a support group: Survivors of Colonialism. "Hi, my name is Dee, and my ancestor's were Africans and native americans". HI DEE!!!

  • spoken well. thank you :)

  • You're an inspiration to the Indigenous Australian's!!! Go brother.. You the bomb x

  • illsyllable ,

while i suspect we have different veiws on this subject and the future for Australia

I thank you for keeping it calm and rational and getting your personal opinion across by staying calm and rational.

  • What happen to the original inhabitants of Australia? The aboriginals wiped them out 40,000 years ago.

  • It's a two way street.

  • i really appreciate your eloquence and restraint. there's a lot of things you could be furious about, but you have such a good attitude and that's what people listen to. i hope a lot more people watch this.

  • Deadly brutha! Well said!

  • Good poem.

  • Why do people still act like this all happened so long ago? CDs, men in space and heart transplants all came about BEFORE our constitution recognised native australians as people. Before that, they were classed as fauna. I have relatives who were alive when the Gippsland massacres were perpetrated by the appointed Protector of Aborigines. This is not some ancient history that nobody really remembers, this was a deliberate genocide that seriously damaged the psyche of a people.

  • @youngdilettantes Deliberate Genocide?Show proof that government instilled a policy to exterminate the Indigenous Australians.

  • Thanks for this video. Hopefully it'll open a few eyes.

  • why dont Aboriginal's sober up? grow up? clean their act up? bitch bitch bitch that's all you lot seem to do. poor us this happened, that happened....but we're to lazy to really do anything about it! we'll just leech of society, steal, rob, bash people...and when that's all done just get back to the job of bitch bitch bitch...poor us! get over it! no one cares! if they did it would of changed already

  • @carljohn10 your retarded anger impedes your vision. chill out for a second and think about what you're saying. first, generalisations suck. second, it's hilarious that you apparently believe Aboriginal people are the only Australians that bitch about their lot in life. Non-Indigenous Australians are way worse, and Immigrants bitch about Immigrants. Learn some basic biology about Alcohol exposure and what that can do to someone without a tolerance, and come back once you've read a book or two.

  • @daniel11357 *46 year old slender Nubian lady in the Entertainment Capitol of the World. And Fred is very handsome, I have to say. He'd turn the heads here good looks and the ACCENT - you know how we go ga-ga over here. :-)

  • @AdoreInVegas isn't he hottttt? at times, it was distracting from the beautiful words he was spouting. i had to go back and listen again with my eyes closed. ;-)

  • Respect to you mate

  • Oppression you pray on us when we sleep oppression you chase after the tired the poor the weak oppression you know you mean only harm oppression you reach out with your long arm but oppression I won't let you near me oppression you shall learn to fear me oppression you seek population control oppression to divide and to conquer is your goal oppression I swear that hatred is your home oppression you just won't leave bad enough alone but oppression I won't let you near me (Ben Harper)
  • Your a legend, I'm a white australian male and have spent a good bit of time researching your heritage and i can tell you this i know it is in your past that i'd prefer to live...thank you for your courage and your words, your poem bought a tear to my eye, but it is in your strength, that i see the positivities returning ever so gradually to this world.much love to you my friend and maybe in the not too distant future we will truly see freedom and equality for all.

  • What else do you want Australia to do ? fucking hell dude, you already are given free education, and countless rights that white people dont have. Australia is a new country, it has changed. If you don't like it get over it or get out.

  • @MultiJGaming you may find it is your 'kind' that gets run out of this country...ignorance and hate are not a badge of honour...your suffering from hatred will ultimately consume you whilst the rest of us that feel compassion will pick you up accept your flaws whilst you learn to live a truly inspired life...one love ponder its meaning :)

  • Wow, has this video taken hold. It has sparked quite the discussion here in the U.S. Interesting how so many of us are (yes, I said ARE, not were) affected by colonialism. One love, my brothers & sisters. We hear you loud & clear. You are not victims, you are SURVIVORS. Just as my ancestors were stolen from their homeland of Africa and brought shackled and chained to the U.S., we are kindred spirits.

  • history or not EVERYONE needs to take responsibilty for where they and what they do. Regardless of wether your black, white ,yellow or any other colour. I dont pity aboriginals nor do i despise them, there is good with the bad as with any race. But for anyone to burn the australian flag is not doing any good for anyone. Burning the aboriginal flag would create the same reaction amongst those whom it offended regardless of colour.

One question. who coined the name "aboriginal"?

  • AUSTRALIA IS A MODERN INVENTION....WHAT THE EUROPEAN INVADERS CALLED THE LANDMASS THEY ARRIVED AT.....AUSTRALIA DAY COMMEMORATES THE INVASION OF THE FIRST FLEET....IF ANYONE IS TRUELY AUSTRALIAN IT IS THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLES OF AUSTRALIA....IT IS LUDICROUS TO HOLD A DAY OF PATRIOTIC CELEBRATION..THAT CELEBRATES THE BEGINNING OF THE DISPOSSESSION,DESTRUCTION OF WHOLE COMMUNITIES AND CULTURAL ANNIHILATION OF THE ONLY PEOPLES THAT ARE ACTUALLY AUSTRALIAN....

  • I think its quite ignorant for people to assume we get freebies? lol I studied to get my degree and I still have to pay HECS where is the freebie in that? I was a full time student so I received abstudy which is exactly the same as austudy, If you cannot afford university you get this payment. Same as in highschool, in a low socio-economic income both Indigenous and Non-Indigenous can get this payment at the age of 16. So much ignorance in this great country.
