  • In watching several videos, I'm rather impressed with how well traffic there seems to always get out of the way, or make an attempt. (Intersections seem a bit congested at times). Also, I'm glad the Q is 'overrun' according to some people, there's no way I'd ever get tired of that (unless sometime I eneded up with a 20+ min responce time and had to run it consistantly for the entire time).

  • So How old are you, Cause im 16 and thinking of becoming a firefighter.

  • So usualy the Firefighter on the Right passengers side uses the Laptop right ?

  • Yep, that's the officer that is incharge of that units firefighters.

  • In Canada Only Some Rigs in Toronto have Panasonic Toughbooks, Mostly the newer ones. But the old ones carry just a Map,lol. I'm Not a Firefighter by the way.

  • All units have the tough books and also 1st due area and some maps of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th due areas as well until they can get the gps directions installed in the computer system

  • Do you guys have a On Board Laptop inside the rig ? or GPS ?

  • Laptop connected to the cad system. Eventually every preplan in the county as well as GPS with trun by turn directions and hydrant locations are supose to be added but who knows when or if that's going to happen.

  • Night is the worst time to respond noticed you out ran your head lights, I find it nicer when I turn the front strobes off I don't have the glare off the streets and when I get on scene the reflective tape on the other vehicles don't obstruct my view.

  • Yes night time is the worst in terms of vision. If you're shutting off strobes because of reflective tape on other vehicles and a glare off of the street then you of all people being an evoc instructor should know that people see you comming at night way before they hear you!!!!! Also if you have a proper saftey zone then you shouldn't have to constantly keep looking and worrying about the reflective tape on vehicles onscene obstructing your view.

  • Sorry I am an EVOC Istr. The use of the federal siren with it wound up does nothing "see NFPA case studies". Also the MPO failed to enter the intersections with do-regard and also over used the air horn at the intersections. The truck was going over the speed limit I know were I live the emergence vehicle is only to go over the speed limit by 10 mph. been a firefighter for 11years and am 4th generation

  • Being a 4th generation means nothing other than you've had 3 generations before you. I will agree with you about the Q, it needs to go through it's complete pitch range to be most effective, all the way up then all the way back down for dirvers to focus where it's comming from. Failed to enter all 18 intersections with doreguard? When was it bad to over use a warning device such as the air horns? Yes we were over the speed limit by more than 10 mph, here if you're not then your getting passed.

  • nice video good use of the airhorns

  • nice video, been waiting on dtvfd videos. tell chief young what,s up.
