  • I agree, The Oilers like the Bengals, had some great teams and were robbed by teams such as Pittsburgh. If the Steelers were poor during those years..imagine the possibilities..lol

  • The original Raider uniforms were almost identicle to the Chicago Bears. Even the numbers on their jersey's.Nice halfback option pass from #23 Jack Larscheid to #25 Tony Teresa. That's #28 Eddie Macon on the interception Touchdown return at 0.35.Raider QB #15 is future coach Tom Flores. Raider's lost this game 37-22.

  • Raiders should wear these throwbacks with the all black helmets.

  • Houston Oilers really had a kick-butt team their first 4 years.

  • @tommyhunt54 If the Oilers hadn't been cursed with such poor ownership I really believe they'd have made it to the Super Bowl sometime in their history. All Butthole Adams ever cared about was making demands for new stadiums and then threatening we Oilers fans to move the team unless he got his way. As a former Oilers fan I still haven't forgiven him for moving the team after the city spent a fortune refurbishing the Dome for him.

  • al davis...-r.i.p.-

  • look at the old Raider uniforms..they werent silver and black, they were black and gold..the numbers are different too. when Al Davis became coach and GM in 1963, he immediately changed the uniforms to Silver and Black and the numbers as well. there have been a few modifications through the years but the colors(and the uniform) have remained the same.

  • @elwin38 There's a book I found some time ago, and part of it was looking back at all the helmets and uniform designs during the AFL years. It's called "Remember the AFL."

  • @IJustWatchEm71 would love to have that book...i'm intrigued with ABA and AFL history! both leagues went through uniform(and logo)changes.

  • Ironically, this game and most of the Oakland Raiders; first seasons were played at San Francisco's Kezar Stadium and Candlestick Park.
