  • Honda needs a slightly bigger engine

  • fucking taxi's use hybrids and and stillcharge the old rates

  • it was for sale in Canada too

  • Actually Insight should take 10-10.4 seconds to reach 100km/hr if the S mode is used which is faster, beats the Prius with a smaller engine. It's an Otto cycle engine as compared to the Atkinson cycle engine of Prius.

  • Like all hybrids, both are GAY, hail the V6/V8 engines.

  • @bolshevik2 I dont like hybrids... but you are an idiot.

  • @EpicXXProductions You are even a bigger idiot since you don't get that I was being sarcastic, faggot.

  • Toyota Prius is a lot better!!!

  • @antonio5699 Especially the new design!

  • The Prius is much better even in features. Here is what the Prius can do and the insight cant do in t Park itself Help keep you into lanes Have a smart key system Go on total electric Show what button ur on in the display The Insight can't have leather seats The Insight can't have 2-way power lumbar The Insight does not have automatic turning off headlights The Insight does not have a solar roof not even a sunroof Those are 9 things that the Insight does not have period.
  • i have a 2009 Honda Civic Si with a "HYBRID" badge. Am i Doin it right?

  • On the highway I have been getting 50.1 and in the city I get a whopping 58.2.

You couldn't pry my Prius from my fingers.

  • I would have to pick the Prius.. it is the Best Hybrid money can buy... Plus its a Toyota!!!!! so you can get at lease 250,000ml out of it....

  • quiet and less gas thats for me.just think no more gas wars..it;s time american cars companys start putting out better electric cars .when i was a kid if it was made in japan it was cheap and american was tops.now it's turned around..

  • insight is the best for the elderly

  • Key slip sorry. The battery in a regular car

  • ll you people that say how about that battery filling the earth full of crap consider this, In a regu

  • All you idiots who think the Prius is unenviornmental, watch the fith gear review. before u say batteries polute the world, look at what these people have to say about the production of the prius and then u will see it more than makes up for the batteries. people on youtube need to resercg before they blindly state bulshit!

  • @etoyotarockshsucks the funny thing about the hybrid is that it actually does more harm than good. for one, people who drive hybrids get so cocky that their cars are more fuel efficient that they actually drive around more, and waste more fuel than a normal car. so yes, south park was right, hybrid cars produce so much "smug" they are destroying the environment.

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 You dont understand do you? A car gets you from point a to point b. We own hybrids and just drive them to get ourselves places. And by the way uneducated low life's like the south park viewers only know how to have sex, eat, sleep and inhale more drugs, and post idiotic comments on youtube.

  • @etoyotarockshsucks typical retort. "low lifes like you", "we own hybrids(and were better than you)", im dying from the smugness! help!

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 I have better things to do with my life than to explain over and over again that watching south park gives nothing back to society, its just like explaining trigonometry to 4 year olds.

  • @etoyotarockshsucks of course it doesnt give back anything to society. what do you give back to society? its entertainment, dumbfuck. its not supposed to be beneficial to anything except humour. unless youre against humour, you fascist.

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 I'm against crude humor, thats all.

  • No and No. I would rather buy the turbo diesel accord, if it ever comes to the U.S. Also, stay out of the FAST LANE, two motors and slower that my high mileage, eco box civic.

  • I think the Insight looks better.

  • the prius battery hurts the enviorment more during its production than the greenhouse gas it saves in a lifetime of driving, you could do more good by buying a tdi jetta

  • why do they focus about how the prius has less road noise and is more comfortable, when you buy a fucking hybrid normal people could give two shits less about those things, they want to save the damn environment

  • since toyota is desperate for sales, i'll go with the company that has less annoying ads: the honda, which is also sportier adn similar mileage for the cheaper price

  • Well since Toyota is trying to kill us I'll have to go with Honda

  • the Prius is one of the wrolds well known hybrids, so as soo as you look at it you think of fuel economy, even though the carbon footprint just to make one is quite large, and if you think about it, the total footprint will be the same as a petrol or diesel. However there is a new car coming to the UK called the Honda FCX Clarity which emits just Water, but people will look at it and think about a regular Honda. I believe that the Honda FCX Clarity is the way foreward with its Hydrgen Fuel Cell.

  • A Hybrid is no better for the environment then a normal car. It produces more pollution just to produce the Hybrid than a normal car will produce in its entire life on the road.

  • @bnicholas428 In what way. It's just the batteries you're complaining about and you didn't mention about them also if you haven't noticed, the batteries are recycled but there aren't any because the batteries aren't breaking down yet.

  • @toyotaprius79 I have nothing against hybrids and I believe they have a bright future but I am a Mechanical Engineer and I know the facts about Hybrids. The production process of a Hybrid creates more pollution than a gas guzzler truck or car creates in the entire time it is on the road. If you don't believe me look it up.

  • the rear seats in this mk3 prius sits 2 real adults. so....the previous make sits what, 'fake adults'?

  • Best thing about hybrid cars is that during production it consume so much energy power and fuel, that to make one require a lot much oil than big heavy v8 old car will use during 40 years of friquent use :):):) So go a head buy those hypocritical cars :):):)

  • @GrafRamolo false, actually the prius are developed with eco methods and produced as such, watch the fifth gear video, its even more green then you think.

  • @Kcazbarach I saw it but still amount of electric power is way higher, they do not use candles to light production hall and they do not use robots made out of wood. All those machines requires petrol to build them to power them. But think about this, they gave people money during the crysis to buy new cars but they do not sell old ones they destroy them, they destroy perfectly working not very old cars, they could give them to poor insted, so where is the ecology?

  • @GrafRamolo with that type of logic nothing can ever really be eco. but eco or green is alot more than the average car consumer. and they destroyed older cars with less mpg and giving a car to the poor doesn't have anything to do with green, in fact the poor are saving more money and commiting less co2 by mass transportation. Its more of a moral issue then a green issue on whether low mpg cars shoulda been donated to the poor.

  • @Kcazbarach You right but hey be honest, do you need ipod in your car? Do you need sat nav, 4 seet clim and other stuff? Make car without all those shit and you will have an eco car, both road and production eco. Old cars does't have all those things and because of that they were much more eco. One thing you know what advertismenst are all about? No, not showing new produts, they are made to make you unhappy with what you have, if you not happy you will buy new things.

  • @GrafRamolo false, hybrid cars are no more polluted to produce than your favorite small block v8 corvette.

what pollutes is when batteries are made. in this case, full electric vehicles.

  • I would wait before buying a Hybrid. Especially if you are lower income!

  • prius wins again!!!!!

  • I'm saying only this: If you are one of the crowd, you'll buy a Prius, if you are an original you'll buy the Insight!

  • scientists found that hybrid cars can give us multiple types of cancer. thoses cars are a lot worst then gas cars!!

  • @mart92xbox360

And gas cars don't? What scientists ave released that statement? Probably scientists payed by the oil companies! The batteries can be recycled, and with the proper technology and manufacturing technique you can greatly reduce gas emissions!

  • @mart92xbox360

    Evidence please.

  • PRIUS ALL THE WAY! I dont care what anyone has to say about Toyota and all its recalls. The Prius is faster, more fuel efficient, and looks better.

  • At least the Honda will stop when you want it. With the recent Toyota "cost and safety cutting" measures. I wouldn't trust Toyota.

Not only that look at the design aesthetics. The Insight is sleek and cutting edge inside and out and the Prius looks like an over-sized odd shaped piece of plastic, and, it is over priced in terms of the cheap parts Toyota is putting in its vehicles to cut cost and maximize profits. At their customer's some time "death" expense. Toyota is over-rated hype.

  • Toyota prius #1! Love the honda though too... Everyone who thinks Toyota's are deathtraps you're wrong, you're just giving in to GM governments scare tactics to scare you, and force you to buy crap American cars. How many times do you think your government has lied to you about anything? Probably more then you could imagine.

  • tata nano does 0-60 in 10sec and gives 60mpg... pay 20 grand for Toyot or Hond hybrid or 2.5 grand for nano... hmmm

  • @tigersoup

Tata nano is quite a lot smaller though... and not as technologically advanced.

  • @tigersoup

    The Nano isn't that safe!

  • Is 10.9 seconds instead of 10.1 really "much slower" like the reviewer said?

  • i attend school in texas, and i spent 1000 on a 1972 Ford F250 and i have the most badass car in the parking lot.

  • After having read such an informed and compelling argument I'm really having a difficult time disagreeing with you. You, sir, are a true wordsmith.

  • Try using your brains to think of a better form of transport, instead of the stupid slagging each other off. Your brain is a

master piece of a gift, use it please

  • fuckin riceburners

  • Fucking brain dead.

Hay, try getting of the planet, after you gas heads have drained it dry /

Will be a bit hard to do, you will crash with me , and I don't want to , but you fuck wits are taking me with you

  • @Rogerlowrey2222 - I will never drive a hybrid in my life. Ill stick with my 1970 Dodge. About 8 mpg and I am extremely happy with it. Before I get yelled at understand this, some people love driving their gas guzzlers. I enjoy driving to drive, not just to get where I'm going. My car is not just a mode of transportation... Its my life, its my hobby, and its my passion. So before you scold someone for driving a gas guzzler think about that... and respect their views just as i respect yours!!!!

  • @msbaugh440

That's fine as long as your keep your CO2 pollution away from me, and from everybody else. Basically what I'm saying is that you better start planting some trees.

  • hybrid incredible !!! human hybrid

  • would love to see daihatsu enter the hybrid-world! the cuore (6. + 7. generation) already gets 55 - 60 mpg - imagine what it could do as a hybrid :)

  • Umm. the batteries have an 8-10 year warranty on them. So no people won't be replacing them if they do happen to go bad. Toyota will replace them for FREE. Most of the batteries are expected to last the life of the car. There are Priuses out there with 300,000 miles on them with the original batteries.

  • Battery tech is the same in laptops, NiMH. How long does your laptop bat last? Sure, a Prius can go many miles, but, the bats will need to be replaced! Toyota claims 180k miles. Nothing like 250k+ Prius bats being disposed of at some point. The Prius is the anti-green car! Small diesels, (VW & Audi TDIs) get equal mpg. And diesel fuel is easier & chepaer to refine than gas. You can run veg oil & biodiesel too.

Long run, diesels & CNG cars are far better for our environment than hybrdis.

  • the prius sucks the honda fcx clarity & insight r much better

  • They're both junk fuck hybrids

  • they should give these spank hog's a 5 speed

  • i like honda insight more.

  • i like the honda insight cheaper to buy.

  • My ford gets 9 MPG so i cancel out all of you granola ass pieces of shit.

  • @JudgeSteelflax and as gas prices continually rise, ull switch and get a more efficient car in 5 years, or have fun paying around 5-10$ for gas (it will reach there)

  • @Kcazbarach How bout I do whatever the fuck I want, and you can have fun being a bonafide jackass.

  • This really is an eye opener. 52MPG is not good. I drive a 1.2L petrol VW Polo and get just over 82MPG and yet the Prius and Insight get lower road tax rates and congestion charge exemptions but the Polo does not!? madness.

  • The only madness is you don't realize that you're watching USA videos. Your Polo's mpg would drop dramatically if it were permitted to be sold in the USA. If you drove it like grandma and stayed on the highway you could get 50mpg with it, but the Polo would be rated around 35mpg in the USA.

I bet you don't know why.

  • 25mpg yawn

  • So right! That's what I used to have but thanks to e85 I have reduced my mpgs to around 20 and completely got rid of the yawn.

  • yawn...

  • Its not about being "cool", it's about being efficient. Since there aren't any reliable electric, hydrogen, solar, or any other power source cars available, the most mature choice in saving money and the enviornment would be a hybrid. Nissan is coming out with an electric car called the Leaf next year. 100 mile range and costs around 20k.

  • Umm my VW Jetta TDI gets 55mpg average and on cruise on the highway at 65m/hr, I get an honest 72mpg!

I disagree with hybrids completely! Gas is more expensive to refine than diesel. I also have a 2007 GM Diesel pickup...guess what it is 8,500lbs and gets 24mpg on the highway, better than a lot of cars.

Diesel and CNG are the way forward until a better technology (hydrogen fuel cell, etc.) is developed. IF 33% OF US DRIVE DIESEL, WE WOULD IMPORT 1.5M BARRELS OF OIL LESS PER DAY!

  • If you are looking for cars that are made to give you a thrill, then why in the hell are you going to videos of cars where the goal is to have the highest mpg. That's about as dumb as some loser posting on a Veyron video saying who cares if it can do 253mph that isn't shit because that car will run it's 34 gallon tank try in 12 miles. The Prius on the other hand will run it's 8.5 tank dry in 600 miles. No car is perfect & it's stupid to cry that is a car isn't fast when it wasn't made to be fast

  • Gen III is 11.9gal tank.

  • Comment removed

  • I have a Gen III and 1/2 tank is 6gal. The Gen III has a regular gas tank because there were too many problems with the fuel bladder being used in Gen I and II. Supposedly the bladder wouldn't always expand properly so people couldn't fill to listed capacity.

  • All 3 of my Acura TL's had 17.5 tanks, but I never had to put more then 15.5 gallons in them. The same thing can be said about my 2006 RL. It has a 19.4 gallon tank but again I never put in more then 17 gallons. If I wanted to I could fill the Prius to 10.5 gallons, but it's not a big deal to me. As far as I am concerned, the smaller the better. My wife is getting 500 miles out of her tiny tank, while I'm getting 400 miles out of my large tank and I'm spending $50 while she spends $20:)

  • Or you could just get a Golf diesel. Spend less, similar fuel economy and you don't look like a ass following a trend.

  • ey?

hybrids are for increasing transportation efficiency

I'd say that's smarter, than more retarded

  • Hybrid competition is just like running in the special olympics - you may win, but you're still retarded...

  • Using this comparison, in any real attempt to communicate an idea shows how unintelligent you must be. And your ostensibly outward hate for hybrids takes you down another notch too.

  • Uninformed, well I don't have to be too informed to know that I stopped using that metaphor in the third grade. Baseless, no not that either, you see I was basing it on your comment, you know the retarded one. And the only lack of actual thought is displayed flawlessly in your thinking that my completely logical statement showed that lack. I do have a hybrid, '10 Prius, and what I enjoy is fewer trips to fill up. As for the "eco-scam," if it means less fuel use, and emissions I'm all for it.

  • He's just a dumb ass that's jealous that hes spending $40-$50 to drive 300miles, while we spend $20-$25 to drive 500-600 miles. Basically we spend half as much to go twice as far. I will never buy a car that gets less then 50mpg again! I want an electric car now.

  • I guessed next generation HV according to a fragmentary industrial article in Japan. Improvement of battery performance. Adoption of material of taking the place of rare metal. Body lightening by reformative material technology

  • what ever, they are both gay

  • My First and my last Hybrids. Hybrids is a P.O.S because we have a 2004 honda civic hybrids and here what happened, the battery died on it so we had it replaced today and it cost us $5000 and the warranty would not cover it. because your just saving money on gas just to replace the batery and whats worst it has a bad handling very weak AC and there unconfortable.

  • Comment removed

  • To me, the Honda Insight is the best car.

    Every body should get it.

  • 98hp XD

  • why do they have to look stupid, why not have a sedan body like the fusion hybrid or civic hybrid, these cars are soo ugly

  • i dont like modern cars i want a car thats built to last a hybrid like this i can almost gaurente wont by on the road in 40 years i want power. anyways how much horse power does the prious have now 40 amercan muscle is the only way to go no less than 300 hp oh yeah

  • What are you saying????

  • You know ALL cars can last for a long time, even 10, 20, 30 years. It all depends on one thing: How much care the car gets. Geez, everyone thinks that the Prius will not last a long time. News flash: It depends on the driver and how well he/she takes care of it. Why do you think a lot of American cars break down or even any car breaks down in 5-10 years? Because of the owner. Not the car.

  • my point is that yeah some of it depends on the owner but there already gonna start developing deisal technolgy, because if you think about it the is very few cars that are 30 to 40 years old and havent needed restoration. is anyone really gonna restore a hybrid i mean c'mon. i meant by lasting aspaint doesnt come off in 10 years plastis interior parts dont break after 5 years things like that.

  • Very few cars get to the age of 20, let alone 40.

  • I'm wrong? According to what? A quick Google shows that the average life span of a car is 13.5 years and that less than 2% of cars ever reach the age of 20.

  • i have a 1988 nissan 300zx, thats how many years old??? 20 years old

  • ... and that fact contradicts my statement how?

  • my car is 20 yrs old and y grandparents both still own there 1st cars. a 57 belverdere in like sum pink color and a 57 red and white bel air sedan. u said car rarely live past 13

  • So of the millions of cars on the road you deem my statement to be entirely incorrect because you know of three cars which are over the age of 20?

Upon you first calling me wrong I checked the figures for both Europe and North America and in both cases the average life expectancy of a car is around 13.5 years.

  • There are over 60 MILLION cars on the road in the USA today, in no way could 'thousands' be described as a majority.

I don't need to see every car in the US to know I'm correct. I have official figures here TELLING me that less than 2% of cars in the US reach the age of 20. It's all in black and white.

You're not the brightest bulb in the box are you?

  • Most cars are not collectables, they are work horses, they do work and when they are beyond use they are recycled. A car which is off the road for years is obviously going to be subject to minimal wear and tear.

You called bullshit on me while offering no evidence to back up your statement, and continued to do so. It would also help your image somewhat if you put a little more effort into the way you communicate.

Anyhoo how about we just forget this, I wish you all the best in your studies! =)

  • sexyboi142 is a moron

  • i agree we have a 66 ford f100 and it was a work truck and was never washed and waxed and the paint still isnt as bad as you think

  • I have a 1972 Ford F250. People think new cars last long, there view of long is 10-15 ears. they haven't seen my truck. 37 years old and it still is a beast. Ford trucks pre 1997 are the toughest vehicles ever made jap crap can't touch em.

  • how many miles does it have? Age of the car doesn't matter, it's how often you drive it.

  • Odometer's broken.

  • oh that sucks but you get my point, if you been driving a truck for 30 years with only 80,000 miles it's still good. If it has 200,000 then it's a really tough truck.

  • Yeah my truck is tough as hell. Say what you want about toyotas and hondas lasting along time, but I don't know of any that are turning 38 next month. Everything is thick steel on my truck, even the dashboard. Old American cars are time tested. Nobody will ever build a tougher vehicle than ford trucks 67-79. Even today they're still the best.

besides that, It's got a 390 and a 4 speed with the granny gear. It's also set up for towing. It lead's me to ask what CAN'T I rip out of the ground.

  • but do you have any idea how many miles it has?

  • well. It reads 60177. But it only goes up to 5 digits and it's broken so hell if i know. could be 160, 260, heck 10000060?

  • 160,000 would seem more right, but anything over 250,000 I can't believe.

  • you can't believe it because in your opinion a car is good if it lasts 10-15 years like these toyotas. I've seen alot more. Other day I went to look at a 94 F250 with 475K. It still looked fine. had the 7.3L diesel and 5 speed manual. I could tell you it still had plenty left in the tank.

  • @JudgeSteelflax WOW... Everything is thick steel. Then why do they fold up like a tin can in a real crash test? Why? because they are outdated junk and have no safety feature whatsoever. You can keep you old deathtrap junk.

  • They don't fold up like a tin can. so your whole comment is invalid. It's not an old deathtrap junk. It's a classic american hot rod.

  • So, you're saying you'd slam that old death trap into a new F-150 head on at 40 MPH and walk away? I don't think so. You'd be dead instantly while the guy in the new F-150 would get out and walk away with all the safety features of new vehicles. The old ones are junk.

  • My truck wouldn't have a scratch. You have a point because it has no shoulder belts and solid steel dashboard.

You don't seem to understand my point. I'm a 16 year old high school chump. I wanna cool car too. But i'm different. I don't have a stupid riced out honda, i have a classic american truck, 1000 dollars and i have the most badass car in the parking lot. It sounds great and turns heads. Maybe it only gets 9 mpg, i don't care. It's so practical too, it hauls so much. you fuck off.

  • $1000 and you have the most "badass" [sic] car in the lot? Where do you attend high school, Slovenia?

  • @durrset2 no man, he attends high school in montenegro!

  • You are crashing the planet, how cool (Not) is that ?

And guess what, ? you have to ride on it, try getting off ?

  • Why are you talking to me like this? I do conserve gas. I own and drive a brand new 2010 Toyota Prius.

  • @whatitis99 actually that's false, while the smaller car will take more damage, the f150 is more prone to roll over (as suvs and pick up trucks are) which means itll likely result in injury to both parties. the notion that bigger means safer in america is funny, in austrailia people got over that along time ago. it has to do with design and engineering of a vehicle that determines its safety.

  • @Kcazbarach I never said bigger was safer. I don't know where you're getting that from, by the way it is a FACT that if you're driving a smaller car and you get into a crash with a larger vehicle like a pickup truck that weighs 3 times as much as the car. The small car will lose. FACT, not false. SUVs and Pick up trucks rarely roll over when they get into a crash. I have seen many crashes with pick up trucks and they didn't roll over and the pick up truck driver always fared better.

  • Crash the planet instead then ? In your gas guzzler.

oh by the way, try getting off the planet, while it's being crashed, ? Find a hot rod planet then can you ?

No my friend stop wasting oil

  • i think hybrid cars are great but why dont they make them look like normal cars? i want a hybrid mustang DANG IT!

  • A Mustang does not look like a normal car. *LOL*

To be honest, every new car model takes a while to get familiar with. For the Prius, this is behind me. I rather like the car now.

FYI, outside the US nobody drives Mustang. Too old design and too low mileage per liter. just not sustainable in the real world.

  • Do you have to plug these cars in?

  • Hybrids, make their own electric power while driving. They don't ever get plugged in.

Plug-In-Hybrids, like the Prius, do get plugged in. They have a fuel of about 1,400 miles and get about 150mpg.

  • no you don't. plug ins aren't invented yet. they recharge by the brake power. (google this stuff please)

  • why do people call these cars electric? they use gas just like all other cars, better mpg but you still have to put gas in them, thay are not the answer!

  • My wife pays $21 to drive 500 miles in her 2007 Prius.

How far can you get with $21?

And that's with the A/C running full blast...

She gets a little over 53mpg, for the last 5,700 miles, and shes not even trying.

  • I go about 825 miles with 15 gallons of diesel in my TDI!

It has better power, handles better, will last longer, etc. VW has been making the TDI engine for 20+ years and most get at least 300,000 miles with regular maintenance. Some have 500,000 miles! Your Prius won't do that! Plus, with batteries considered, my TDI is better for the environment than Hybrids!

...and my brakes and accerlator don't have Toyota problems!

  • EPA, fueleconomy(dot)gov

New MPG (tests are more realistic) City/Hwy/Combined

    Prius 2010 - 51/48/50

    Prius 2004 - 48/45/46

    Insight 2010 - 40/43/41

    Smart 2009- 33/41/36

    Jetta Tdi 2009 - 29/40/33

    Fit 2009- 27/33/30

They are all great on gas! Pick the one you like the best, and don't hate the rest!

  • the new insight has gotten over 50mpg in several real world tests which is even better

  • Who ever said it couldn't.

Insight, Prius they are both great on gas.

  • Your TDI information is correct according to the EPA, however, in reality they are far better than Hybrids! Do a search for best mpg TDI. You will see many people pulling 60+ mpg and the record is 76mpg over 1300 miles.

In addition, the TDIs have great, torque power than allows one to pass when needed. I don't see the point of hybrids. Diesel fuel is cheaper and easier to refine than gas. If 33% of us drove diesels, we would reduce the number of barrels of oil by 1.5M per day.

  • Agree on electric, must be from alternative methods. However the French are running the cleanest nuclear program in history.

The Hydrogen fuel cell is actually not far off. They are being tested in 11 states at this time. Both in buses and cars.

Once battery technology catches up we will see the day when performance cars have some sort of electric drive.

  • Rx-7

    ROTARY POWER

  • The new clean Diesels have less environmental impact than hybrids. The only place this is an arguable topic is youtube. When 100% bio is used its a mute point at best, carbon foot print of "0". Burning any fuel made of crude oil ---bad--- A dumb southern republican driving a big 4x4 on 100% is doing less environmental damage than a prius.

    100% electric

    100% Bio diesel

    100% Hydrogen

  • I'm sorry but that is completely ridiculous, a 100% electric is only better, if the electricity was produced without burning fossil fules, the same goes for hydrogen.

BTW hydrogen is very inefficient, you need 4 times the energy to split H off of H20 then you get from the opposite reaction which happens in the engine.

And, it is a gas, made of the smallest atoms, so it is able to "escape" even through solid metal.

  • i say the best thing is clean diesels - diesels that can get over 70mpg but emit less than current diesels. as soon as manufacturers learn how to make diesels as clean or even cleaner than current petrol cars, many problems will be solved

  • how about the honda FCX Clarity? that car has huge potential because hydrogen cars are the future, not electric cars

  • What do u think the hydrogen engine powers an "electric motor"

  • well yeah the fcx clarity has an electric motor, but current hybrids have internal combustion engines which pollute, the fcx clarity doesn't have an internal combustion engine

  • I'm gonna agree with u on that but until i can afford the new Tesla Model S i'm stuck with my camry hybrid which is fun driving up 2 44mph in electric mode!!! =]

  • hybrids are a waste of time though, because it takes over 10 years in hybrids that get over 50mpg to make up the extra money you spent more over a small car

the best thing for mileage are diesels like they have in europe, the vw golf diesel can get as much as 80mpg

  • Diesels stink though and they pollute and last summer when gas was 5 bucks diesel was even morel. So until they can mass produce practical electric cars(that look cool and r fun 2 drive) with a range of at least 300 miles per charge at a reasonable price for middle class people were all fucked!!! =[

  • petrol was 4 dollars a gallon last summer not 5

  • in California it was

  • yes but i think you r thinking of the polo bluemotion it does 80 mgp more if u try
