At 36 seconds that manoever takes guts...the turns these guys do with the wing tip 1/2 metre above the ground is incedible. The avionics in this Mirage is incredible. If the other NATO members have this technolgy they never show this in public. In my opinion in a real conflict these guys would win out easily.

I have a lot of information about what happened in Europe in WW2 from personal accounts from people who are there. I also have the documents the Nazi used to muder and some of my close family member. Good Music..... however is this SOP to fly so low in desert terrain to reduce visibility and radar exposure? I would think the risk of crashing, especially at night, would be a higher risk.
Well I don't know what SOP means but what I know for sure is that french Mirage F1 based in Tchad are used for recon mission mostly, even if sometimes they do fire near rebels column.
They operate in order to help the tchadian gov and I'm not sure radar coverage is very dense over Africa lol.
So I think they fly that way for fun, and because they are the best. In the French Air Force, even KC-135 fly that low mate ;)
@paulgbusmc You would not fly this at night. There are better methods. This method is used for surprise attack. At this speed you get about one second warning fron noise. No radar could detect this. If you watch closely they are using terrain radar on board the aircraft and the pilots have total confidence in that technology. In daylight the risk is minimal.

The reason why English is the number one language is because the USA and its allies won WW2. I know very well the English are peculiar..I was born in England. In the UK the people who are closer to a European outlook are the Scots.

@cumbas PART THREE Never makes assumptions about people..I live in the UK was born here..I am an EUR citizen with a UK passport. My kin is Czech and Brit. I know more about what happened on the east side of Europe in 1930s than what happened 400 years ago. My kin folk in Europe are Slavs, Magyars and a few N Italians and of course Brits, but I really don't understand the Brit culture that well.

The UK RAF is prolly the one of the best military operations in the world, better than USAF in a "one on one fight".

beau metier que celui de pilote mais faut pas oublier qu un jour ca ce paie au niveau physique !!! et ca biensur on en parle pas les ondes du radar tuent les spermatozoides males c est reconnu , de telles vitesses entraines sur le corps des flebites qui mal soignees ou non detectees peuvent se revelees fatales!!!! etc etc etc mais chacuns son truc et chapeau bas a nos pilotes vive la france !!

Good Music..... however is this SOP to fly so low in desert terrain to reduce visibility and radar exposure? I would think the risk of crashing, especially at night, would be a higher risk.

Well I don't know what SOP means but what I know for sure is that french Mirage F1 based in Tchad are used for recon mission mostly, even if sometimes they do fire near rebels column.
They operate in order to help the tchadian gov and I'm not sure radar coverage is very dense over Africa lol.
So I think they fly that way for fun, and because they are the best. In the French Air Force, even KC-135 fly that low mate ;)

@paulgbusmc You would not fly this at night. There are better methods. This method is used for surprise attack. At this speed you get about one second warning fron noise. No radar could detect this. If you watch closely they are using terrain radar on board the aircraft and the pilots have total confidence in that technology. In daylight the risk is minimal.
