If you think the game is crap, then have the brains to refrain from trying to convince people who like it to see things through your own hate-filled eyes.
Go back to playing "Mature" titles like Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty like the willingly-blind person you are, and leave the rest of the games to the people without narrow minds.
@CohibaSkeeza No adventure just a scripted story that most people aren't interested in, gimmicks like "Time Travel", boats, trains, skyward swords, etc, way too easy, and rather uninteresting action mechanics. Zelda games currectly are in a state of complete suck.
@CohibaSkeeza STOP FILLING ZELDA WITH STUPID PUZZLES - puzzles are so lame, they were not in the first two zeldas and when they did appear in ALttP, they made sense and were new. Anymore, Zelda is scripted story and events and puzzles - that is not zelda. Zelda is an action/adventure-rpg.
@CohibaSkeeza Puzzles and story are stupid? If you just want a bland generic fantasy game, there are plenty already. I agree that it needs to be freshened up, but taking the story, items, and puzzles away is NOT the right way to go. The other day at E3, they have stated that exploration will play a bigger role. They have heightened difficulty and implemented upgradeable equipment. Now those are a step in the right direction, as is the new combat system.
@TheCongressman1 None of what they have done with SS is the right direction. Now you are attempting to reduce the original NES Zeldas to "bland, generic fantasy games". Johnny-come-lately claimes that modern Zeldas are somehow better than the originals. The original fans know what Zelda is and you can't fool them with some marketing BS. Zelda was one of the toughest games on the block, it was the pinnacle of the action/adventure-rpg genre - no longer, it is laguhed at.
@CohibaSkeeza I've played every Zelda to date, and I am a fan of the originals. They are harder, in fact most older games are harder, mostly due to poor indication and cheap enemy paths, such as castlevania II. Now, I have agreed the series is in need of change. Nintendo is starting the change with SS. It is going to be harder, and have more exploration. That is something that has needed change, but you say it's still not the right direction?
@TheCongressman1 the games being harder has nothing to do with "cheap" enemy paths or poor design. They are harder because they demand a higher level of gaming skill. They draw you in through good gameplay, rather than try draw you in with a movie script. I play Castlevania II to this day and I know of no "cheap enemey paths". the game requires reflexes and good rythm and so did zelda.
The right direction is to make a Zelda game which emphasizes gameplay alone, not flying birds and puzzles.
@TheCongress Scrap the tutorials (I know they're there), the lame WM+ puzzles, the childish look, the childish items, scrap the fun-loving gumdrop shit... Nothing about that game looks challenging or adventurous. Same mini-cutscenes every-time you walk through a door, unlock a treasure, etc. (this shit should never have been there) - they are trying to sell you a surprize with a cut-scene. Why? Because the "surprise" isn't enough on its own. They know this but just don't care to fix it....
@TheCongressman1 ...Its easier for them to make cut-scenes and puzzles than to create challenging gameplay and a genuinely interesting world. It was easier during the 8-bit days, even with small teams, but now it is difficult with all the graphics - that is why games today suck. They aren't games at all - they are boring characters moving around on a 3D stage - the calssic game mechanics stripped in place of an easier design. They try to hide this with story and cheap thrills.
@TheCongressman1 But all they care about is pushing their creative visions on people; this is the shit they say to themselves: "It would be so awesome to put a bird in here , or a train, or a talking boat." "I'm going to put this character in here that has this totally awesome, crazy personality - its a reflection of me." They are rejecting the core gameplay of Zelda because they don't like to create that - it isn't fulfilling enough for these self-proclaimed geniuses.
@CohibaSkeeza and @TheCongressman1 QUIT FIGHTING LIKE TWO FIVE-YEAR-OLD GIRLS AND GET THE FUCK OUT!!!! Cohiba, if you don't like it, then don't watch it, you stupid prick! Go play your original games if you think this game is shit! Congressman, i understand that you think this game is cool and i respect you for that, but you need to ignore his fucking comments you fucking dumbass! god damn people don't when to quit these days!!!!! FUCK!!
@TheCongressman1 There is a right way and a wrong way to tell a story - most videogames do it the wrong way, including modern Zelda. Story isn't something that you force on players with cutscenes and NPC melodrama, story is the game itself - they don't need dialogue. Puzzles are boring, Zelda was never about puzzles, it was about adventuring through a dangerous land and killing monsters. Now, everything in Zelda is a puzzle, everything. I never said anything about items - you put that there.
The gameplay looks kinda boring to me, tbh... I mean raise sword, line up perpendicular and slash... Woo... And the random frantic swings to take the monster out... I liked a little thought in my fights. This looks like the fastest random swinger or person with a modicum of timing will beat this game in no time, guess this is one to sit out... Really hope for a better one in the future. And to those that say "this is a lot harder than it looks" shouldn't a game be hard because of good gameplay
@Nyetitall this is just a demo. It might not seem like much because your just getting use to everything since this is 1:1 swordplay. Of course the final version will be different and I'm pretty sure it'll be harder.
Whoever was playing this demo isnt very good at it..... im sorry. oh and when i was playing the new demo for the new pokemon game, there was a glitch pokemon in it. i got it to make me have a glitch pokemon. and ive beaten most zelda games in under 6 days.
can we get someone to play this game decently and how its supposed to be played for one

the fun in the L O Z games is to fight not walk in circles and swing at it when your sword charges....

@TheCongressman1 No not art-style, just the game in general like the iterations since OoT do not live up to the standard of LoZ and Zelda II.
