My favorite part of the movie is a scene like this, with costumes, etc, but it's a different kind of rhythm... the rolling backbeat is constant... Keita does this insane thing with three heavy beats between each phrase... sort of like

This is from a movie called "Djembefola" which is a documentary about Mamady making a trip back to the village where he was born and where he has not been since he left as a young boy. It is highly recommended for anyone who has ever thought about learning the history and technique of this ancient music. Watching Mamady shred will give you a new perspective on your own playing!
