I caught Mark Gracia with a weapon at the Heman G. Stark Youth Correctional Facility just about 2-years to the day of the riot (2005) in 2003. Gracia certainly was a piece of work and used a cuff key to remove his handcuffs to assault me for discovering the weapon in his room a few days earlier. Gracia was sentenced to 5-years under a plea bargain.

If they had proper security, how would that happen? In times when inmates and officers come in contact, like during meal times for example, officers should just have their machine gun pointing at the inmates the whole time, that way, there's no way the inmates will mess with the officers at all.

The correction officers would not risk losing there guns to an inmate. You got to remember inmates have 24 hours a day to think of ways to escape, the C.O.'s only have 8-12 hours to think of ways to stop them.

Well that's fuck up. The COs should in every way have more power than the inmates, or else what the hell's the point of them to start with. If I made the rules, I'd have it so the COs would have machine guns at the inmates the whole time. You couldn't go wrong that way.
