I know one thing. Stay out of Newport, Oregon if you love your children. We are getting out of here. I thought by moving to a smaller city that our children will be much better off than the big "rat race". I was wrong. New neighbors can be your worst enemies. CPS at our home 3 times. By law SW are only required to allow one 1 hour visit every 7 days, this visit is only with their parents and siblings, no other family members. I remeber while I was fighting for my daughter, I was only allowed two hours a week with my daughter, and I was a nursing mom. I begged to be put into the foster home with her, and was denied. The social worker was supposed to take my milk to her everyday, but never did. I took the milk in to court, and that got her home.

This is what happened to us in Australia. A mentally ill relative of my wife's tried to steal our first son from the hospital; was kicked out by security guards. I still feel the terror of when she headed for a window on the second-floor. Since then, she has lied to many agencies; we have been investigated on endless false claims. She has now succeeded in bashing up another woman and stealing her child, keeping him completely isolated, and the government has done NOTHING in nearly a year!

I don't recall saying anything about the children that get the child services attention that is needed. Not evryone is a bad person, even within agencies, you're going to get a little of both. Holy Shit!! This actually nearly happened to us when we lived in McCracken County KY. A worker came to my house on a (retaliatory) call made by my ex. The investigator wasn't going to open a case, but I asked her for help, I was a single mom receiving no support, and pregnant on bedrest. I was afraid my baby was going to be born early because I couldn't bedrest. They opened a case and called it neglect. I had to fight to keep my kids, and learned a valuable lesson about asking the gov't for help
