i love husky, but he loves idra too much, and it shows. Idra is a good player but not unbeatable. Also idra is a whiny child with a bad temper so its hard for me to cheer for him the way husky does.
People are right to criticize Idra for bad behavior. He reinforces one of the negative stereotypes of gamers, and we should aspire to be more, as a community. Unfortunately, as most Youtube comments prove, we have a looooong way to go.
Some view gaming as counterproductive regardless of the gamer's personality. More so, anyone that is trying to produce an image of being respectful, serious, or even mature while 'gaming' is taking it too seriously anyways (like most pro Starcraft 2 players). Idra is hilarious because he is one of the very best and displays that sort of punk attitude with it. So before we try to improve the image of this community, perhaps we should age our view on gaming.

Why won't players like Jaedong, Flash, Boxer, etc. play SC2? Because broodwar takes more skills to play? I haven't played SC2 yet but it looks like broodwar needs a lot more micros.

@JordanBo0 you do need to micro a stalker to killl an overlord if you are not going to let it out iof your base, the static defense was put down blind, when max 2 cannons is really only needed, the gaurdian shield was preemptive, he wasn't being biased, he was pointing out things that state could have done better so he could do better against the best NA players.

@JordanBo0 Husky plays protoss mostly and can better criticize a protoss player for "bad micro" than he could about a zerg. When someone loses the loser is usually the one that gets criticized for mistakes. I've seen most of State's cast matches and he's really, really good. Idra is also good. Having said that, I have noticed Idra getting slapped around lately so maybe he's in a funk.
I play zerg. In BW, without min patches being shown, zerg had the best ability to "roach out", rebuild and take the win. IMO, best way to learn the game in BW was to never quit, fight till they took you out, a la Boxer. Idra quits when he still had a chance. Huk made that evident. I dunno, but, if you're a pro, do you quit when you can still fight? Just sayin...

i think what @frefai is saying that husky is too bias towards Idra. He keep on praising idra in a way that state is doomed to be the loser. He was like criticizing state all the way. "bad stalker micro" (you don't need damn good micro to kill an overlord).. "zealot not gonna do anything" "waste of 300 minerals for static defense" "pre-emptive guardian shield"..

"Pre-emptive guardian shield" - complete waste, Idra would never have engaged his army there with just those mutas.
I think they were valid points. Every mistake like those counts when you're up against Idra.

@JordanBo0 you do need to micro a stalker to killl an overlord if you are not going to let it out iof your base, the static defense was put down blind, when max 2 cannons is really only needed, the gaurdian shield was preemptive, he wasn't being biased, he was pointing out things that state could have done better so he could do better against the best NA players.

When someone loses the loser is usually the one that gets criticized for mistakes. I've seen most of State's cast matches and he's really, really good. Idra is also good. Having said that, I have noticed Idra getting slapped around lately so maybe he's in a funk.

I play zerg. In BW, without min patches being shown, zerg had the best ability to "roach out", rebuild and take the win. IMO, best way to learn the game in BW was to never quit, fight till they took you out, a la Boxer. Idra quits when he still had a chance. Huk made that evident. I dunno, but, if you're a pro, do you quit when you can still fight? Just sayin...
