  • Precioso acuario,un saludo desde españa

  • @Jconde82

    Muchas gracias. :)

  • Nice, love red tail sharks but they are always a pain, they either bully or get bullied it seems like they're is no middle ground with em

  • Awesome roseline sharks. Still have the tank up

  • Hi

you change 40% - 50% of water a week is that a bit of a shock to the system. i thought 25% - 30% would be better. great looking tank fantastic. cheers m8

  • what kind of powerhead is that?

  • @Johnzith1212 It is an ecotech MP40.

  • imagine all of them jumped out 0_o

  • red tailed black sharks are always pissed off IME

  • How do you keep your floating plants alive? I've tried to keep floating hyacinths before and they always shrivel up after a month or two.

  • This is awesome! I just upgraded from a 29g to a 55g today, and I thought that was big! Sorry if it's already been asked, but how big is this tank? Very well done.

  • @pinkhairedmice Hi, thank you for your comment. The tank is approx 400 US gallons.

  • do you have to clean this or does it naturally stay clean because of your fish and plants?

  • @teeceetommy1 Hi, I change about 40-50% of the water weekly with a siphon and clean the tank sides every other week. Occasionally do some pruning of the plants. I would say an hour or two every week.

  • nice barbs

  • Sorry another post lol. I just wanna say if you are hesitant about removing the SAEs because they control algae you can just switch to Oto Cats. They clean up leaves like crazy I use them in my planted tank. Amazing tank by the way. What fertilizers are you using?

  • @HolySasquatchTurd hi, i find that the SAE - RTBS is fine in this tank. 99% of the time there is no chasing, they just do their own thing. It is only when RTBS claims a wafer for his own that he gets more feisty. However there is never anything approaching serious. They have been together approx 3 years now. I have not really seriously kept otos before, I was thinking of using them in a smaller tank, but it is the SAE (C.langei) that is particularly good with BBA.

  • @HolySasquatchTurd I dose co2 and use dry ferts straight into the flow of the water column, NPK and trace on alternate days, nothing at wknd.

  • @kumarsa108 I use Excel every morning and for here and there I use 2 trace element liquids, iron, equilibrium, NPK. That's all Seachem Flourish by the way. I also use root tabs for plants that really need it like cryptocrines.

  • Nice tank though but yeah, RTS will be fine with the Rainbows, Congos, Denison Barbs, from my experience. He will chase them a little bit here and there but nothing compared to that grey fish and SAE.

  • Dude, seriously you shouldn't put fish that don't go well with the Red Tail and I mean that grey fish he is chasing (forget the name) and the SAEs. He's clearly stressing them out.

  • Absolutely amazing. Best on YouTube!!

  • @maxcruiser Thank you :)

  • How many litres is this tank...its very impressive and those rainbowswill be stunning when they have matured!

  • @spudster87 Hi, the gross volume is 1,588 litres. I will post an update when the fish have grown. Thanks for commenting. :)

  • Very nice tank. Is that water sprite floating on top? And what is the foreground left plant? Thanks

  • @Hotaru845 Hi, thank you for the comment. The floating plant is Water Hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes), the foreground left plant is Stauragine repens.

  • @kumarsa108. Thanks for the info. The water hyacinth looked like a floating Water Sprite. The Echinodorus tennelus is really hard to get here in SA. Again, a lovely tank.

  • @Hotaru845 oh also on the left foreground (longer thin leaves) is Echinodorus tennellus - Dwarf chain sword.

  • one of the nicest tanks on you tube IMO, I particularly like your aqua scape and design. Wow, I am jealous now...Its immaculate!!! Gorgeous Rainbows too; Interesting to see the Red Tailed Shark cohabiting with minimal chasing...This is the tank I want!! WOW! BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • @davidloveco Thank you for the comments. Alot of the rainbows are quite young at the moment, but in a year or so they should be looking much more impressive. The RTBS is not too aggressive, he normaly ignores all others. Only in this situation when he wants a sunken pellet all to himself. :) He never pursues a fish for more than a few seconds.

  • This is a great aquarium. Is this the aquarium you always wanted? I wish I had a larger tank myself.

  • What size tank is that?

  • Lovely Tank. Very impressive

  • woah awesome
