i was born in 1994, i just re discovered this anime a couple of days ago and then the memories started to hit me xD. saying that i was not even a year old when i started to watch this, apparently according to my parents i just sat in awe while staring at the tv :P

It was my favorite anime a few years after that XD I was a hardcore Slayers fan. But after a while I found other favorites but Slayers is still in the top five...no, I mean Top 3! XD

@LunadaWolf its actually wasn't a manga Slayers was originally a light novel series in japan with only a few pictures here and there, a manga was produced because of it's success, but the manga (from what I recall) only covers a little bit of the original story, same goes for the anime, it only shows just a few parts of the story line

Megumi Hayashibara did this anime's opening such justice, I loved the series I was born in 1986, first anime's I watched was Vampire Hunter D, and of course Speed Racer, and Dragon Ball.. Years later I got hooked to DBZ, Ranma 1/2 then Slayers, Fushigiyugi, Ignored Tenchi Muyo, Evangelion then Trigun... heh getting to the more recent years now... tho I guess over 10 years ago isnt so recent is it -.-;

I think Slayers is the best anime ever. It balances epic battles and action, hilarious comedy jokes and references that true anime fans would get, lovable characters, (My favorite characters are Zelgadiss and Xelloss, Zelgadiss can do nearly everything{If not everything} and Xelloss is just a lovable purple-haired (Sore wa himitsu desu!!!and the plot makes you want to watch it over and over again. If you haven't seen Slayers, you are missing one of the best experiences of your life!!!
