The graphics are nicer (I know DotA 1 graphics are old... but still...). DotA 2 has a improvement on the graphics but I don't see myself playing it now as have more friends on HoN and I kinda invested in it already (Aka, buy characters.... =.=) Also, don't really like the idea of DotA 2 being on steam....

blizzard lost the chance to be a master company of action rts games like dota, is this an attempt to bring WC3 players back? because many people are leaving to play LoL and HoN and most of them will play dota 2 from valve
and this mod, just look like another WC3 dota copy maps that you can find in warcraft maps forums :~

@FYSFAN12 Actually DotA came out first for WC3, back in like 03, and became a HUGE part of the WC3 community, HoN, LoL, Demigod, and now the upcomming DOTA2, along with (Im pretty sure) a lot of others are all offspring of DotA from WC3, Icefrog, Guinsoo and Eul were its designers back then, and far as I know, Icefrog have teamed up with VALVe, Guinsoo with Riot Games and Eul with S2Games (Dont pin me on it, Im not entirely sure).

@abutahers Actually, Icefrog worked on HoN, but jumped out near its completion, because there was a fight or something, and with ValvE offering him some greenies to make DotA 2 on Source engine, he just quit HoN and grabbed the chance with ValvE.

@FYSFAN12 Correction...HoN is based on SavageThe Battle for Newerth if you know it,WCIII came out before it and Eul(the creator of DotA planned to make a custom map for it) so HoN rip it out 90% and S2 video game developer industry didn't even credit anyone who created it,which means they are a bunch of greedy assholes who only wants our money for their improve graphics and matchmaking,besides why play a game which makes you pay when there are already free ones?
