We catch those and also spotted suckers here in NE Ohio. We even catch them ice fishing. They even hit lures

In the early spring these fish have very firm meat and are free of most all worms and parasites. Try them after smoking them, you'll be amazed. After running them through the smoker, store in the fridge (not in an air tight) and snack on the fillets with cold beer.
