I love the way clown loach eat snails, but I simply lack the space to have many in my aquarium... anyone else know of a method I could use to rid myself of 'em? I got amano shrimp & anti-snail would only knock 'em out.
Thanks for the comment. You want to stay clear of a group of CL in a 90l, but i would recommend either zebra or yoyo loach as they tend to stay quite small, around 2" or so, and they look cool as a group. If you're looking to keep CL eventually, you really need around 240l upwards.
@drjulesd can you get a smaller type of clown loach or do they all grow the same size as i have a 90 L tank with 2 gourami's 11 barbs and 2 angels i want to add a clown or two is that possible.

The sandstone you can just get from most garden centres, however is does alter the Ph in your tank, so you will need to make a couple of adjustments to the water, eg water changes or treatment. It only takes a few days with water changes to balance it out, but it's worth it. Hope that helps and thanks for the comment
stunning tank! and fish! the angels are so active! in a large tank like this they actually swim around lots lol. don't mean to sound all weird, but they have a whole new kind of beuty to them when you see them swimming around like that. i was looking into a 6foot, then a 3-4 foot, but (depending on costs and how much water i would have to change each week, lol) maybe i might just look into a 5 foot. It all depends.
Thanks for the comment. The angels grew massive, about the size of your hand in such a short space of time in this tank. Thing is, they turned out to be both males and divided the tank in half between themselves. They would always go for one another over territory, then started nipping at other fish and making a mess of their tails. Had to part with them, but the tank is a lot more peaceful now. Check out the updated vid. :)
it's a shame that you had to remove them. they both look so beautiful, especially when they swim up and down the tank like that. mine grew from approx 1 and a half inches to about 3-4 inches in two months! they are definetally fast growers. i can't wait to get my hands on some more :) i'm just concerned about keeping them in, say, a 3 foot, because in my experience they don't seem as active as yours. great vid, i'll check out your others :)
they have literally doubled in size since i put them in this tank and posted the vid. I should be putting a new vid on soon as the tank looks a lot different now and the loach have settled down now

Great video, thanks for sharing
Can you recommend a species of loach that I could keep in a 90L tank, preferably in a group of 5?
Or is 90L too small?
I've got an empty Roma 90 that I want to set up for loaches.

Thanks for that :)
I've got 2 * Roma 240's already lol
Each with 2 * Fluval 405's on!
They're cold water for my Orandas that I'm kind of addicted too, along with my Telescopic Eyed Moors. I just love Goldies, they're so peaceful.
I really wanted to start a Loach species tank. Thanks for your advice & great luck with your fishies!
