  • VIVA PINOCHET

  • 2012 MIREN LOS RESULTADOS CHILE Y CUBA

  • RECUERDEN QUE EL GENERAL PINOCHET SE ADELANTO A LA CAIDA DEL MARXISMO DESPUES CAYO EN EL MUNDO CON LA DESINTEGRACION DE LA UNION SOVIETICA Y MIREN LOS RESULTADOS CHILE Y CUBA DONDE NO TIENEN LIBERTA Y SE MUEREN DE HAMBRE

  • Every polictican who were honest and wanted to help the poor like Allende, Kennedy, Gandhi have been killed. Via Allende.

  • @SuperVietnam1994 Mahatma Gandhi was murdered in Delhi,1948,Kennedy JFK in 1963 and Kennedy B. in 1968..what could they do to help Allende?? what did Allende do and where did he come from??

  • @am1966ath

I just said that all of these people we good humans who wanted the best for their people.

  • Allende went out like a BOSS! i love that photo of him with his bodyguards wearing a helmet clutching an assault rifle during the coup. thats when you know SHTF.

  • The ultimate example of human honesty and integrity

  • Same ol' story; A good man wants to make real policy change for the better of the nation, but is put to a stop by the corporatocracy. Viva Allende, Roldos & Torrijos

  • Who said Allende was dead?....he is more alive than ever in each of us who further and PRACTICE his message everyday

  • Fidel and Kremlin??? what business had Fidel in Chile??

  • School children given a glass of milk. NO NO NO! We can't have that. The next thing you know they will want a slice of bread too. After that a slice of baloney. Then after that another slice of bread. MY GOD! THEY WILL HAVE A FUCKING SANDWICH! This has to be stopped!

  • @blabblab1212 Must be a very poor society when the state has to give children a glass of milk.

  • Allende made the mistake of trusting Pinochet, and paid for it wth his own life and the lives of thousands of Chileans. The CIA and the British killled a democratically elected government, and turned it over to a brutal dictator and torturer--Pinochet.

    Viva Allende!

  • @odannon "Ariston" in greec means the first, the best..an elite..I thought that Allende was one of the people which explains why he invited Castro in 1972..no latin american military could stomach Fidel and his collectivization.

  • Comment removed

  • @odannon Good then that the well educated cubans can enjoy their communist poverty, living in colonial ruins and looking at hard currency tourists shopping in special shops. Fidel Castro had no business in Chile and no general staff anywhere in South america would stomach this insurgent..and Allende was a upper class communist with ideas that didn t attract the Chilean elite and not me either.

  • @am1966ath Cuba can use the new Communist model imported from China.

  • @betterstake There is a problem for Fidel with the "chinese" model...that is that some people, except Fidels family, will get rich, some very rich and that means competition for the monomanic,power-obsessed Fidel who will have problem spreading his equality-gospel to a society that will turn its eyes from socialist equality towards making western hard cash.

  • @am1966ath

There was no right to kill Allende. If you think which Massmurder got the power because of Allendes Death and what Pinochet did to his onw people. I am sure Allende wouldn`t have been so cruel to his own people than Pinochet. Allende was all in all a friendly man who was diplamtic also if he was a communist. Do you think it is okey to kill every idealist politican who is interested in communistic ideas? In what world do we live?

  • @SuperVietnam1994 Pinochet is a murder yes..and a torturer..but nothing like Castro,Che Guevara and certainly not Pollpott or the Kims..see if 30 000+ oppositional people would be able to flee from an Pollpott or a Kim, you think that those guys would be so stupid to let people survive and flee????

  • @am1966ath

Pinochet didn`t let them survive. And many people also left Vietnam as boat people. The refugees from Chile also didn``t flee official.

  • @SuperVietnam1994 Hmm.... the fight of titans continues here.

  • @acb1511

    How do you mean this?

  • @SuperVietnam1994 That I have just discovered it.

  • @acb1511

What have you discovered. What do you mean with the titans. Please explain your comments more in detail. Don`t forget that Englisch isn`t my mother tongue. It is hard for me to understand.

  • @SuperVietnam1994 "fight of titans" is an ironic description for an "epic" bettle.

  • @acb1511

And epic battle between which power? The US and the Soviets?

  • @SuperVietnam1994 You and "am1966ath"=))

  • @acb1511

I will always support the third world because am1966 does like the US would be the most peaceful and best nation, which just wants to help every poor country but the poor countries are evil dictatorships and the fault for their poverty by themselves. That`s his opinion. But that is bullshit. If I think of how many good politicans have been killed by CIA because they didn`t follow the US-interests.

  • @SuperVietnam1994 Did not say that but if the USA is so racist why then are so many non-european people emigrating to the USA?? why should racists,terror-USA give food to the DPRK when richer asian countries don t give any help. Why isn t China involved in stopping Assads massmurder in Syria?? Why should USA that is so racist give foreign aid and food aid?? and yes third world poverty isn t the fault of the USA,absolutely not.

  • @am1966ath

^^ Then tell me why The Northern States had to win a civil war 150 years ago to stop the South States and there racist feudal system where black people had to work as slaves. And why had Martin Luther King had to fight for the rights of afro americans? Why are more black people punished by death than white? And why are Nazis-Groups going through the streets of Arizona. The US isn`t totally the fault of third world poverty but they helped to make the situation worse than better.

  • @SuperVietnam1994 Can assure you that over 30 000 socialist/communists fled from Chile to Sweden in the days after the coup in Chile in 1973??

  • @am1966ath

Yeah but Pinochet surelly didn`t want to let them escape. Otherwise he wouldn`t used Kzs. Why should he torture some people and other can flee? Why didn`t he let everybody leave the country when he was so good an nice to Regime-Enemies?

  • QUE ASCO DA PINOCHET Y TODOS ESOS MILICOS QUE BOMBARDEARON COBARDEMENTE AL PRESIDENTE ALLENDE

LO PEOR DE TODO ES QUE PINOCHET GOBERNO MUCHOS AÑOS E HIZO UNA CUANTIOSA FORTUNA PARA MUCHAS GENERACIONES.

JAMAS DEBERA QUEDAR EN EL OLVIDO ESTE VERDADERO REVOLUCIONARIO COMO FUE ALLENDE QUIEN NACIONALIZO LAS INDUSTRIAS PRODUCTIVAS CHILENAS.

Y DE NIXON NI HABLAR QUE ES UNA GRAN VERGUENZA HASTA HOY PARA LOS MISMOS GRINGOS

    VIVA ALLENDE INMORTAL

  • Fuck the USA VIVA SALVADOR ALLENDE YANKEES GO TO HELL

  • Long live the Chile-United States brotherhood! 200 years and still going strong!

  • USA=Terrorists - Pinochet=Traitor

  • @LucasOner Pinochet terrorized leftwing people and the US aided him, but why is Pinochet a traitor?? should Pinochet be loyal to Fidel Castro??

  • @am1966ath he was a traitor to his own country by killing thousands of chileans, to his president (who elected him as chief commander of chilean army), and to his country by way of doing what another country wanted him to do into is own... Fair enough?

  • @am1966ath

Pinochet terrorized and killed his own people. He was a dictator. Allende was a democrtatic very friendly and fair president. He observed the US-influence critically and just because he cooperated with both sides (capitalist countries and communist countries) the US wanted to kill or stop him. Nobody had the right to operate in Chile which was a democracy before Pinochet. Allende didn`t have Kzs or tortured people.

  • Fuck the USA, can you imagine if China tried a coup againt AMERIKKKA,

If China had military bases in Tijuana, The USA would get its panties in a bunch.

THE USA has this holier-than-thou dogma.

They are a bunch of CHIKEN SHITS.

Let each coutry have its own economic system it likes.

  • @DamianLeon123 Why then is Iran messing in Lebanon and Syria?? China is more like the US than it like to admit, it only have different ways of coping with similar problems. And Chile 1973 is nearly 40years ago, what about the USSR and DDR 1953,Hungary 1956 and Prague 1968?

  • @am1966ath I don't understand your comparison. what China, the USSR or the DDR would do at the time is not the standard that I would have expected My country to use. Just like if you saw someone stealing, it does not follow that your excuse would be that "everyone else was doing it"

  • @betterstake We are not talking about "stealing" although thats what Fidel did in 1959, he confiscated private property with beautiful word and now 50years later he wants to introduce what he once abolished....and Fidel isn t a market economist, he is forced to do something...and the USSR and DDR were failed models that didn t change in times..they just died when their closed systems met the outside world.

  • Fuck the USA, can you imagine if China tried a coup againt AMERIKKKA,

If China had military bases in Tijuana, The USA would get its panties in a bunch.

THE USA has this holier-than-thou dogma.

  • @enriquemdahmen Good then that Allendes wonderful, megalomanic friend, CASTRO is such a loving, warm individual who hasn t harmed anyone.

  • @am1966ath

There is a difference between being a extremely left president like Allende and Chavez or being a communist like Castro and Che Guevara. Every democracy can be a left democracy.

  • @SuperVietnam1994

Let each coutry have its own economic system it likes. The USA has no right to go to Latin American countries and tell the democratic presidents like Allende (Chile) and Arbenz (Guatemala) if they have to be socialists or pro-US. It`s their decison which way of policy they prefer. And no by USA supported Dicator like Pinochet (Chile) or Castillo (Guatemala) have the right to destroy this democracies. Allene was choosen by his own people, they liked him.

  • Bolivia will accuse Chile during the OAS summit to be held in El Salvador this June 2011. OAS agreed that Chile and Bolivia to come to an agreement to solve Bolivia's land locked condition without access to a sovereign port in the Pacific. But Chile has refused to do so therefore Bolivia will take its plight to an International Court such as the Hague.

  • @MrSamuelAdams1776 live to a muder who killed and tortured tousen of people during 27 years of dictatorship? you should read a little bit about history man...

  • Tata x100pre.

  • magaret thatcher, the warmongering capitalist pig, help pinochet to engulf chileans with terror and oppression...it was another usa/uk backed assualt into a territory they have no cause to be in. We the people, the real people of the UK..DO NOT condone war or terror in the name of DEMOCRACY. Democracy is by definition; two wolves and a sheep voting over what is for dinner.

  • @MrReco12 actually I do you fuckin idiot. look up Anatomia de un Fracaso, pics of student protestors against communist being attacked then tortured by Allendes men trained by Fidel Castro!! People starving and the only people that prick fed had to have a communist party card. I have the pictures and have seen the docs of the horrors done by Allendes people. Do your fucking homework you communist pig. As simple as looking up the facts on wikipedia u ignorant fuck. He also stole homes/busn

  • @mjraven51400

Well i looked and looked for these pictures, but all i could find is a book written by Pinochet sadistic torturers and rapists.

    Full of lies no doubt!

Military fascists shooting murdering an unarmed cameraman!

    watch?v=L7E2VU6r1iM

    Your stupidity is becoming tedious!

  • @MrReco12 You are a liar. Even sites like wikipedia have the basic information. Read a book rather than gathering your information from some youtube video. Your intellegence shows with all your ridiculous rants.

  • @mjraven51400

    You moron.

Have read plenty of books on the subject, not from a Pinochet propagandist and a nutcase.!

  • Pinochet was a fucking pig, very brutal and repressive.

  • Comment removed

  • wikipedia Salvador Allende Please read some of those facts. The people of Chile were starving and were being tortured when they protested against Allende, most of which were students. Businesses taken by gov. In Anatomia De Un Fracaso there are pics of Fidel Castro training men for warfare, huge lines for food only given to people with comm.card as well as documents found as proof. That is what lead to the truckers stike and Pinochet taking power against the communist Allende.

  • @mjraven51400

    Rubbish?

    Tortured?

    A lie!

I laughed when you tried to make out that Castro personally trained soldiers. HA HA!

watch?v=VSdPlC10nAw: A film made by people who witness Pinochet's brutality.

Pinochet supporters are murderers and scum!

I laugh when human trash like yourself describe themselves as christian: What would jesus say if he saw if troops attacked unarmed people LIVING IN POVERTY!

    SCUM AND FILTH!

  • @mjraven51400 It's the first time I read that people were tourtured during Allende's government. that´s is a absolut lie. In fact during the Allendes goverment there was not persecution to the oposition, the medias were free to write what they want, Allende allways respected the Constitution and tried to solve the problems throgh political agreements... did you know that the day of the coup Allende was going to announce a plebscite to make the chileans decide the continuity of his goverment?

  • @lalotowers You may comment once you educate yourself better on the facts. I have pics, documentation and the first hand accounts of my mother, grandmother, aunts and uncles. For God's sake even Wikepedia backs up what I wrote. It's pretty ignorant to call someone a liar before you have all the facts. It's Elementary history taught in Chile where I attended. Don't talk shit about the history of someone's country that you know nothing about fool.

  • @mjraven51400 I am chilean as you, if you haven't noticed in my profil, so I know what I am talking about. And I didn't call you lier, I just said that the fact that during the Allende's Government people were tourtured IS a LIE, lier is who support a lie knowing the fact that is not true...maybe you believe in that so you are not a lier. WHAT are YOUR SOURCES of information? WIKIPEDIA? are you kiding me? anyone can write in Wikipedia...now tell me WHO WAS TORTURED DURING ALLENDE'S GOVERNMENT?

  • @lalotowers

Spot on, mjraven is a pathological liar who simply makes things up!

  • @MrReco12 the thing is this Mjraven51400 spreads things without arguments and sources... he believes that Wikiopedia is the only and most reliable source in the World.

  • @lalotowers I gave you the name of a book that has the documented facts and images. EVEN wikepedia gives references to those facts. Why don't you educate yourself on ALL the facts and spare me your unfounded comments purely based on your opinions. You are stupid to call someone a LIAR(by the way, that's how it's spelled)simply because you don't like what they say.Feel free to comment back once you educate yourself further on FACTS, otherwise...fuck off COMUNISTA, just like your compadre Allende

  • @mjraven51400 sorry for my late reply, but I followed your advice and I was educating me about the facts. the book that you had cited is "Anatomia de un fracaso la experiencia socialista chilena" ...in which page is written that people was tortured by the Allende´s government? you haven't answered me that question... read this book " Los zarpazos del Puma" by Patricia Allende where she tells about the case "Caravana de la Muerte" and how hundres people were tortured and killed without trial.

  • @mjraven51400 LEARN TO READ AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH. In my comments I gave you a book as an example and wrote that EVEN such websites as Wikepedia describe the torture. The book has documented facts and images. So your reply is stupid because you completely ignored what I wrote except for the Wikepedia part. You call someone a LIAR, that's how it's spelled by the way, without educating yourself on the facts. Feel free to comment back once you do that otherwise fuck off.

  • @mjraven51400

Their was no torture in Allende's Chile you idiot!

  • @MrReco12 You can keep repeating the same thing but facts are facts and the proof is there. Can't wait to see the same response from you over and over and fucking over

  • @MrReco12 who told u allende was the torturer? it was pinochet . now the americans are spreading lies that pinochet only killed communists he also killed inocent people without reason my familie and many others where no communist and was killed . but me and my father and others fled to europe belgium , the netherlands , uk , germany , france....allende never killed people

  • @gefilptezot

Mjraven said Allende tortured people. He was lying of course.

  • @mjraven51400 What business had Fidel in Chile???

  • @LobroncaKzyrza SO the Americans are so powerful and control so many people that I guess the Chilean General Pinochet and all the Chilean people that supported him, including my entire family that lived there, had nothing to do with it. It was all the Americans!!! Just like Allende, the communist, allied himeslf with communists, the anit-communist Chilean's allied with America to stop them. Allende asked Russia for money,we asked the Americans for money and assistance to overthrow the communists.

  • @mjraven51400

You are a blatant and despicable liar:

    watch?v=8jnvfUZZwFs

    watch?v=S3ljKdjw-50

    watch?v=yO3-_ZiYsdw

    You are a liar!

Your family are murderers and brutal killers!

    Human trash!

  • @MrReco12 you are just an ignorant fool who has no right to tell ANY Chilean no matter who's side they were on shit unless you lived there through it all and saw it for yourself as my family did. You communist pig

  • @mjraven51400

    You murderous dog.

I just showed you thousands of unarmed people marching in support of Salvador Allende! Care to show me any counter rallies held by the human trash who supported mass murder?

  • Comment removed

  • @mjraven51400

i provided video evidence you idiot, you provided baseless lies and smears. typical for supporters of murderers cowards and scum!

    -Thugs

    -rapists

    -murderers

    - pedophiles(paul schaffer)

    -Scum

    -Thiefs

PInochet supporters fit in to at least one of these categories. I say you porably fit into them all.

  • @mjraven51400

The US,much to the applause of your vile murderous family no doubt, destoryed Chilies economy you ignorant fool!

Nixon even said "Make the economy scream". His slaves and useful idiots obeyed his command!

A special place awaits you and your ilk in Hell!

Cowards who murdered Children and other innocents!

  • @LobroncaKzyrza What Allende did:

    - increased gov spending sky high

    - this spending was financed mostly by printing money

    - exappropriated private property

    - increased salaries (without increasing productivity or output)

... can t imagine how this led Chile into ruins. Haha.

  • @joaquinveyron

The neo Nazi is back. Whether it be killing Jewish children or destorying freedom in Chilie, the far Right will always support as long as it fulfills their sadistic desires!

The story of Anne Frank and 12 yr old Francisco Antonio Fuenzalida Morales tells us that!

  • @MrReco12

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnn ... how many tomes do you want to try your idiotic polemics?

I know you give a shit about the truth and facts, but here it is said again:

Dipshit, you know that the Nazis and communist pigs like you are on the same page, ideologically. Both are totalitarian and anti-liberal.

And I didnt say that I find Pinochects dictatorship justifiable. I just said that Allend ruined Chile with his socialistic policies, which is a matter of fact.

  • @joaquinveyron

Rubbish, you are no liberal but a fascist. talk about Yawn: You repeat your lies in every video about Pinochet and Allende.

Hitler was the biggest mass murderer of communists in world history. You have been licking his jackboots as well!

  • @MrReco12

Dipshit, Hitler was a mass murderer, no doubt about that. But neither was he the biggest mass murderer at all, nor was he the biggest mass murderer of communists. Just a MATTER OF FACT.

DIpshit, I am not "liberal" in this distortioned American meaning of the world, which actually refers to socialistic, but I am lLIBERAL in the European tradition fo the meaning, which would translate to being "conservative" in the US, more or less.

  • @MrReco12

If you say so .... yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn ...

Really, who took your brain away? Who?

  • @joaquinveyron

Again you yawn: I can point to about 3 videos were you WRITE THE EXACT SAME THING!

Have got the memory span of a goldfish?

  • @MrReco12

"you WRITE THE EXACT SAME THING!"

Exactly, dipshit. I see that you are at least able to read ... sort of.

  • @LobroncaKzyrza

his is what happened in Chile under Allende: Allende's socialist agenda crippled the country. Allende's public spending which was financed mostly by printing money. Many enterprises within the copper, coal, iron, nitrate, and steel industries were expropriated, nationalized, or subjected to state intervention. Capital flight, plummeting private investment, and withdrawal of bank deposits were the response to Allende's socialist program.

  • @LobroncaKzyrza By early 1973, inflation was out of control. The crippled economy was further battered by prolonged and sometimes simultaneous strikes by physicians, teachers, students, truck owners, copper workers, and the small business class. On 26 May 1973, Chile's Supreme Court, unanimously denounced the Allende disruption of the legality of the nation. Although illegal under the Chilean constitution, the court supported and strengthened Pinochet's seizure of power

  • @LobroncaKzyrza

Since Allende had started the money press and had thus inflation increased by 600 %, no wonders that the truck drivers went on strike. Their wages were reduced to NOTHING!

No need to make the Chilean economy scream. They hurt themselves already.

  • @LobroncaKzyrza

Well, I don´t care actually whethere the coup in Chile was totally home-made or instigated by the US only. A matter of fact is that ALlende had ruined the country within three years!

And yes, it was difficulte for Chile to get credit from the international capital markets. What would you expect? A country that had exappropriated all foreign companies, a country that was on its way to communism, you would give it much credit either, would you.

  • There was much more to the economic destabilization of Chile during the period of Allende's administration and the CIA's involvement in the destabilization. William Blum's 'Killing Hope' is a good start for these details. Also, see Blum's references therein, which include government documents such as the 1975 Pike Commission Report.

    ___

Also missing from this excerpt is Richard Nixon's famous 1970 admonishment to then CIA director Richard Helms to "Make (Chile's) economy scream!"

  • @ehunter2 Put an amazonian newborn with eskimos and he will live like an eskimo, put an eskimo in new york and he will be a yankee, put a capitalist in cuba and he will be socialist. PEOPLE ARE BORN AS EQUALS, our societies teach them to be different.

And cultures are parallely equals, made by different value systems that cant be superior or inferior

  • this is how US democracy works

  • thatcher has blood on her hands

  • Welcome to the "free world"

  • An indefinite continuation of Allende's policies would have cost tens if not hundreds of thousands of lives in natural disasters and disease, or would have turned the country into a dictatorship, or both. As it was, the US did everything it could to prevent this from happening. The US authorized the CIA to depose Allende and then let the Chileans go on voting for the foreseeable future in 1970.

  • @EkajTheSwordsman All you can do is cut & paste horseshit from Wikipedia? And more horseshit from the Hoover Institute?

Milton Friedman did more to impoverish Chileans than anyone. Not to mention the human rights cesspool into which Chile devolved following Allende's ouster.

Face it, right-winger: The United States has NEVER stood for democracy in this world. In dozens & dozens of cases over the decades it has unfailingly supported dictators & fascists, fascist Pinochet among them.

  • @EkajTheSwordsman I've heard that argument many times to justify the military coup in Chile and the murder of tousens during Pinichet's dictatorship. NOT TRUE. A political solution could be achieved in Chile if USA goverment had' t interfiere the way it did, and 27 years of censorship in media, murders, totures could been avoided. Did you know that the day of the coup Allende was going to announce a plebiscite to make the people decide the continuty of the Government?

  • It attempted to get Allende kidnapped or exiled, funded non-violent protests against him and tried to buy off the Chilean Congress to deny him the Presidency. It developed an elaborate plot wherein (before Allende took office) the sitting Chilean President (Frei) would temporarily and voluntarily give power to the military in a bloodless coup. The military would then exile Allende and voluntarily step down and hold a new free election in which Frei would be eligible to run for re-election.

  • Had this plot succeeded, hundreds of Chilean lives and countless American lives would have been saved. No Chileans were killed or wounded in the operation, which was not undertaken in any spirit of hostility towards Chile or its people and which would have preserved Chilean freedom. The CIA never attempted to kill Schneider, as this video would lead you to believe. It became aware of a plan to kidnap him. The kidnappers asked for money to assist them.

  • @EkajTheSwordsman The CIA did attempted kill Schneider, if they denied that is another thing... they sent 3 machine guns and munitions and VIA diplomatic post (nice detail) and gave them to members to the extremist group "Patria y Libertad". It didn't make sense to just kidnapp Shneider...what to do with him then?. CIA wanted Schneider died because they knew that with Schneider as Chief Commandant of the Chile Army they could not provoke a coup. Sheneider believed in the Constitution.

  • The CIA repeatedly refused to offer as much as a dime. But, to ensure they would remain privy to the plotters loyalty and thus information, they did indeed send the $250,000 mentioned in the video to the US embassy, which was instructed to supply it to the plotters AFTER the kidnapping—if it succeeded, which it did not. The money was sent anyway due to a diplomatic miscommunication (they mistakenly thought the kidnapping and exiling of the General had succeeded).

  • The CIA learned of numerous attempts to establish a military dictatorship when gathering intelligence in 1970, and it explicitly refused to materially assist any of them (they made it clear that America could not be associated with such activities, and they in fact worked to prevent several of the more unlikely plots on the grounds that they would strengthen Allende. ...

  • ... A handful of them they did say America would recognize and support if they succeeded, and they did nothing to prevent or discourage, although they made it clear that America could not materially assist them either). The CIA actually armed a group of plotters for the purpose of restraining the Viaux group that killed Schneider (the weapons were never used to kill or wound anyone).

  • Not only did Allende systematically create the conditions that turned his country into a dictatorship (the operation in 1970 would have staved off Pinochet’s seizure of power); he himself actually attempted to directly assume dictatorial powers in 1973. Facing widespread protests against the misery caused by his rule; Allende secretly prepared a “self-coup,” with the help of Fidel Castro, who surreptitiously sent large quantities of weapons to arm Allende’s minority of supporters.

  • @EkajTheSwordsman Self cuoup? that was a lie invented by the CIA and spread out among their militaries contact in Chile to make them believe it was a infiltration of soldiers who was going to make a militarie coup. When Pinochet took the power, everyone was asking where the infitrators were..tThey never existed...it was propaganda. The CIA spent millions of dollars to spread out lies in all the medias they could. If extremist groups recieved weapons from Cuba, surely Allende didn´t know about it

  • Army Commander Pinochet beat Allende to the coup, which was justified by the Allende-Castro plans. Today, thanks to the KGB files smuggled out of Russia by Vasily Mitrokhin, we know that Allende was receiving payments from the KGB. There is no doubt that if he had succeeded in his plans, Chile today would be an impoverished Communist prison like Cuba, instead of a shining example of democracy and prosperity.

  • With some compassion and self-discipline, Pinochet could have been remembered as a liberator and not a despot. He was both. Note that Frei—the most prominent critic of Pinochet’s regime—initially supported the removal of Allende and wrote a famous letter endorsing the Armed Forces intervention and denouncing what he alleged was an attempt by Allende to impose a Communist dictatorship in Chile.

  • @ehunter2 These 'arguments' are those of a simpleton. Then again, you've already alerted us that the world is an unequal one and I can see which side of the bell curve you're on. Don't forget the fruit gums.

  • Pinochet: Murdering coward

    How pathetic is the guy?

When he is arrested in England, he wets himself(whilst under house arrest) and than pathetically pretends to be senile. Poor old Pinochet might have had to change his diaper if it had have been forced to go on trial for his crimes!

    Compare unemployment:

    Allende ;4.3%

    Pinochet:30%

    Fact!

    Allende: statesmen

    Pinochet: Murderous thug!

  • @MrReco12 @MrReco12 Chile's annual growth in per capita real income from 1985 to 1996 averaged 7%, far above the rest of Latin America. Since then the economy has averaged 7-percent annual growth, raising per capita income for Chile's 16-million citizens to more than $10,000 and creating a thriving middle class. The infant mortality rate in Chile fell from 82.2 per 1000 to 19.5 per 1000 from 1970-85.

  • @MrReco12 his is what happened in Chile under Allende: Allende's socialist agenda crippled the country.

  • @MrReco12 What Allende did:

    - increased gov spending sky high

    - this spending was financed mostly by printing money

    - exappropriated private property

    - increased salaries (without increasing productivity or output)

... can t imagine how this led Chile into ruins. Haha.

  • @MrReco12 In 1972 the Chilean escudo had runaway inflation of 140%. The average Real GDP contracted between 1971 and 1973 at an annual rate of 5.6% ("negative growth"), and the government's fiscal deficit soared while foreign reserves declined. The combination of inflation and government-mandated price-fixing, together with the "disappearance" of basic commodities from supermarket shelves, led to the rise of black markets in rice, beans, sugar, and flour.

    Really? Can t imagine why.

  • @MrReco12 "Allende ;4.3%

    Pinochet:30%"

Shihead, these were the short-term effects of Allendes policy to "create" jobs articificially (i.e. out of printing money). These results were not sustained and in 1972 the Chilean escudo had runaway inflation of 140%. The average Real GDP contracted between 1971 and 1973 at an annual rate of 5.6% ("negative growth"), and the government's fiscal deficit soared while foreign reserves declined.

Ah, really?? Can't imagine why this happens ...

  • @MrReco12 The Truth about Pinochet is that he introduced the needed market orient reforms in Chile ("Chicago boys"). Chile was drastically transformed from an economy isolated from the rest of the world, with strong government intervention, into a liberalized, world-integrated economy, where market forces were left free to guide most of the economy's decisions. This erased the jobs artificially "created" by Allende (that only led to inflation though).
