Um actually, I got two more Traxxas r/c's since I posted that comment so long ago and never have any problems with them. If you treat them like you should you'll defiantly get your money's worth out of it. Stampedes just suck though. Its a disapointing product by Traxxas in my opinion there just way too fragile.

You have the same problem I have and that's snow, I got some rim's and tires for the back with more grip and bigger size tire.

Axial rock lizards 2.2's and there great and I am going to experemnt with tires for the front and back, thinking maybe studing a set of large nubby tires for the back and skinny tires for the front.
