@vwj559 no what you here at redline is when he shifts the air that his turbo put into the enigine needs to go somwhere so it get let out of the waist gate or his bov(blow off valve) in. this video he has a bov.
@nolovestronghoe no man youre totally wrong all turbo cars have wastegates thats what regulates boost the blow off valve releases all the excess pressure after the throttle has closed so the pressure doesnt go back through the turbo and cause compressor surge they have two totally different purposes
@s14sr240silvia waste gates don't regulate the boost, they are regulated BY boost. they regulate the exhaust flow to the turbine. wastegates have nothing to do with compressor surge. also it is possible to run a turbo without a BOV/recirc valve. i've been running my T25 without a BOV for over a year now and there is still no shaft play in the turbo. i know people who've had no BOV for years. in the end the way you treat your turbo designates how long it will last.
@natman48 yes it has nothing to do with compressor surge tahts what the bov takes care of and the waste gate regulates boost it does...trust me thats why when you want more boost and you have a stock wastegate setup you hook up the BOOST CONTROLLER to the WASTEGATE and thats moronic to not run a bov or diverter valve or something along those lines the turbo will not last i dont care what you say
pretty sure it has a stock bov, which is quiet. just cause there's no bov sound doesnt mean that it isnt turbo'd. a turbocharged engine can still run without a blow off valve

i would have kept the KA24 in there :P o well there both good engines when there modified

they don't have stock bov.

yes they do... all turbo nissan motors except rb30et have one... it's just recirculated and quiet.
