What I love about Hokusai's views of Mt. Fuji is the diversity of people in most of them -- from leisurely to workers, some of them seem to be so used to having such a beautiful sight that it's hardly noticeable to them. They do their work and there sits the great volcano, silent, but always there, outlasting the many lives that cross its path from all angles around it. What genius.
