Nice fire rate! I have a Classic Army p90 sportline and it came with a 8.4v. I don't dry fire and mostly fire on single. Is it dangerous or can it wear out the gun electronics/mechanisms if i change it to a 11.1v Li-Po?
all a lipo does is makes your gun run faster, any gun can handle a lipo, its just a matter of how long the piston and gears will last, piston will break down after a while, but they do that from any battery whether its an 11.1 lipo or an 8.4v nimh it doesnt matter, its just a power source
Reminds me of Toyota. You can't kill Toyotas, and you cant kill that gun. Instead of the gas pedal getting stuck, the trigger stuck. Kidding, I love Toyota!
LPAEG's have a crappy motor, that can only spin so fast. emaning, you could hook up a 14V to that and it wouldn't fire any faster. plus, there's not much stress on the gears as the spring is low powered. an AEG has alot more stress on the gears, and a much better motor that's max spin is alot higher, meaning its more likely to spin the gears fast enough to actually strip the piston, or the gear teeth, depending on whether the teeth on the piston are plastic or metal.
ahh .. a classic video .. we tried to kill the CA P90 using our Polyquest 50C 12.8v Li-Poly batt .. and we sucessfully did it .. but it made my batt into low battery .. hhhaha
@ericandjakek To be honest, running a 11.1v Li-Po on the Echo 1 AK47 Vector Arms wouldn't be a good idea at all. If you did choose to run it, I would say maybe a month before something such as the piston would strip. It's really not worth it, you can get a really nice, realistic ROF from an 9.6v or even an 8.4v battery. With an 11.1v Li-Po, we're talking over 21 rounds per second so it's not going to be doing anything healthy to the gun long term.
Just to add to that, If you really want to use a Li-Po then you could use a 7.2v and it should be fine. However they burn the trigger contacts out much faster than a standard NiMH or NiCad and you have to be much more careful with them.
Alrite. Thnx for the info. I doubt I'd spend the $40 or watever on a battery anyway. I'm sticking with the standard 8.4V 1500mah. I got 3 of those so once again thanks for the info.
Yeah, no problem. If you have 8.4v batteries already then you should use them. They give a pretty good ROF and all guns can take an 8.4v as standard. Happy Hunting :)
If it is new than you could get like 15,000 rounds at leas( only if you take it easy on the trigger time). I know a guy using a 12v 4200mah battery on a jg and he has gone through 20,000 bbs and still going.
But I highly advise sticking to a 9.6v battery for echo1( it will last much longer)
No. All good AEG's have metal gearboxes, but it doesnt mean they are 'Li-Po' ready. The only manufacturer that make 'Li-Po Ready' guns out of the box are KWA. Even though KWA's can handle it, many people don't recommend Li-Po's. They put higher stress on the internals and burn out the trigger contacts faster. A 7.2v Li-Po would be ok to run in most AEG's as it gives approximately the same ROF as a 9.6v NiMH or NiCad. However the term 'Li-Po' ready usually makes people assume 11.1v Li-Po's.
@jeme223 Haha, it wouldn't be different because each cell in a lipo charges up to 4.2 volts and are basically dead at 3.7 so a 3-cell lipo thats fully charged is over 12.6 volts. It would be fun to try though haha.
and yeah, this thing is junk. i don't care who bought it and thinks it's really shiny. it's a piece of junk that deserves what this dude was trying to do to it. bring that with you to an airsoft match with me, you will get owned.
i'm pretty surprised how long that junk lasted for. it should have a way higher rof with 11.1v lipo though. that didn't seem to be higher than low 20's.
It's a piece of junk $50 gun that never worked right from the day it was bought. If it were mine, I would have used it as a target to shoot my good airsoft guns with.
surprisingly, its really not that bad. It can hold its own against my classic army p90. Also it can take the CA mag and vise versa. Its shoots around 280fps with .20s. and the mag comes out it isnt hopper fed. And the gear box is a combo of metal and plastic. But I fired 4 shots and the safety jammed up, I just opened it and removed it, lol. Its accurate enough. Plus I got a new battery for my JG G36c and its a decent battery, they share the same one. For $15 go for it!
oh thanks so much, im def. going to buy it. whered u get it kapowwe? i love firepower too cause i have 2 firepower m9's , theyre very sturdy and durable. thanks once again
yea, i got mine from kapowwe, I love that site. and its my first firepower gun and so far I'm happy with it. If ur safety gets messed up just message me and I'll make a video on how to fix it. Also it seems very sturdy.
Also, mine does have a hop up on it. Also the fire rate is faster than my JG G36c. Mine is not hopper fed, and could take the CA mag. If would like to continue to argue, please by all means message me back.
there are hardly any gun specific batteries, so pretty much if it fits in the gun, the connector is the right kind, and it isnt to powerful, it will work
lmao i have the same gun, it was my first airsoft auto gun and wow mine does the same thing.... i put a 8.4v battery to it and shot it for about 5-6 mins and it wouldnt break...i don't understand how a plastic gear box can take that? i guess that tells you how much more a metel gear box can take (by the way LOL! at the "WHY WON'T YOU DIE!!!!") still even though its a firepower and it can take such force from a battery dosn't mean its awesome mine jamed all the time and broke in like a week.
The V6 is really one of the most solid gearbox designs. I wasn't expecting any problems with the mechbox per se. But I was expecting to strip the gears or something though... Oh well, next time it's being connected to a car battery. We'll see how that goes.
Next time around, we're connecting it to a car battery. I suspect the motor will probably burn out before the gun fails though.
Although I'm seriously hoping otherwise. We want to see destruction. There's no way a plastic mechbox should be allowed to endure this type of punishment, when most don't even last a few hundred rounds running under normal conditions.
The mechbox is apparently interchangeable, but the rest of the body and parts aren't. So the gun would be stuck with a regular barrel and non-adjustable hopup. And the shell is of poor quality as well, so not worh it.

@Jim27x hey i just bought my Well P-90 yesterday, how long do u have to charge it?

To calculate charge time for any battery, take the battery Mah and divide it by the charger's Mah output. That gives you the charge time in hours.

Firepower ANYTHING is junk, and this P90 is easily the worse airsoft P90 on the market, bar none.
The gearbox and gears are all plastic. The only metal parts are the spring and the electrical contacts.
It shoots about 230-250 out of the box, and after about 1000 rounds when the spring settles, it shoots about 200-220.
There's no hopup, so your BBs hit the ground about 50 away at most. Accuracy is horrid at best.
I've compared it to both TM and Echo 1 P90s.There's no compaison. FP is junk.
