I liked the Attitude Era, but it was also filled with a lot of crap and while it gave us some of the best angles in wrestling, it also gave us some of the worst.

As far as CM Punk goes today, the man himself said (in podcasts and interviews) the new era they are going into is the Reality Era. It's an era that doesn't filled with stale, stupid shit like the current PG era. But it also isn't the Vince Russo style, gimmicks-galore, comically offensive era. CM Punk can be 'edgy' without that it.
