Matt threw for 5,038 yards with 41 touchdowns, and turned a terrible Detroit Lions team around to 10-6 and in the playoffs for the first time since 1999 and in my opinion the ultimate Pro Bowl snub. But Eli went on to win his second Super Bowl and second SB MVP. It's a hard decision, but I think Eli is the all-around better QB.

Stafford should have gotten it over Manning for a few reasons
1: Better numbers
2: More wins
3: Smith can say that Stafford lost to good teams HOWEVER I would argue that Stafford did NOT lose to teams he should have beat. Giants have gotten beaten by inferior teams this season
4: As for the Megatron argument Im tired of people discrediting Stafford just because he has CJ on his team every QB has a good WR & CJ has only 15 of staffords 36 TDs
5: No run game So a lot of the burden is on Stafford

manning is at his best this year, eli and his team have the hardest scheldule in the nfl, and basicly, he alone carried his team this team. eli did it this season with young recievers.

Eli played real bad against the Jets last week but they still end up winning the game. Plus the Giants lost to some mediocre teams this season. The Lions may have lost to some good teams but they NEVER lost to a losing team. As for injuries the Lions lost their top 2 RBs. And the Giants run game is better because they have nearly double the rushing TDs

it is what it is & you cant do anything about it. Newton & Stafford make great cases but Eli is in a level that they haven't reach yet. Plus most of Stafford TD's come from Calvin Johnson, the 6'5 4.3 receiver, i mean Jamarcus Russell can't even overthrow this guy & considering that the two teams that go to the Superbowl has pro bowl players, one of them will get in as the alternate pro bowl pick. Im thinking thats Newton though

stephen a forgot to mention the decimated offensive line who got rid of two starters before the season (including starting center). Also non existent running game. Eli carried Giants offense. Deserved it over stafford and Newton (who may have stats but did not win games)

stafford had alot of injuries around him too. he played the season with no running game besides Best before he got hurt. their 2nd round draft pick running back got hurt be fore the season and Kevin Smith got hurt after his first game back. stafford deserves a pro bowl

@neonhenry The Giants play in one of the worst divisions in football. The INTs are the same, while Newton has seven more total TDs (34-27). Not to mention the fact that he's about to become the first ever player to have over 4000 passing yards and over 500 rushing yards in a singe season. It's close, but I'd rate Newton over Eli this season -- and God knows, I'd definitely take him in the long run.

Stephen brings up Megatron, and he's definitely one of the best receivers in the league, but Eli has two receivers that have over 1,000 receiving yards this season. Cruz and Nicks are both fantastic receivers. But Stafford has still put up better numbers and his team has a better record. Both of those teams have no running game and relatively poor defenses, so it's really all on the QB's shoulders. Stafford has just played better this year.
