People just about everywhere learn English, but it's impossible for English-speakers to reciprocate and speak every other language in return. In previous times (in Europe) everyone learned French or Latin, and I would be surprised if other parts of the world didn't also have a dominant language.

I'm sure English will die out some time, but given how long it's been in use, I doubt it's any time soon. More likely it will just become unrecognizable.
